Today, [XXX] the AEB light came back on. This is also the second time I have had to replace the Brake light located under the brake pedal. This is the second time I am reporting this problem to NHTSA. Research on several car repair sites shows this is a common problem with the 2020 Nissan Pathfinder, but NHTSA has failed to issue a recall. The original cost for repair at the dealership was over $4000. Please review and confirm problems with this model and year. This is an ongoing safety issue. Southwest Nissan Weatherford, Tx was where my car was repaired in January 2024. They will be able to provide all documentation. So I had been alerted by them initially. There are zero warning lamps. Vehicle is available for inspection anytime.

- Summary: While merging onto the parkway, the gas pedal snapped off during acceleration. There was no warning at all, it just snapped off when I stepped on the pedal. I was fortunate enough to pull over onto the shoulder of the parkway without incident, but I had no way to accelerate the car if I needed to. I was very lucky that nothing happened, but I'm very concerned about driving this vehicle and the potential danger it poses to myself and others if this happens again. I believe this is a serious issue and should be looked into with urgency. I've attached pictures of where the pedal snapped off. It appears to be a cheaply made piece of plastic that completely broke off. There is another picture with the pedal intact and circled in red, you can see an indentation towards the top of the pedal. This is where I believe the pedal broke off from.

I recently traded in my 2016 Murano, which I absolutely loved, for this Pathfinder because the deal was too good to pass up. While it is reliable, has a great stereo system, nice features, and a pretty blue color, I do have a few complaints. The appearance is a bit boring and could use a refresh to bring it into the 21st century. Additionally, the seats are uncomfortable and the ride is too stiff, making my husband's truck a more comfortable option. I also found the Nissan app to be quite difficult to navigate. Overall, it's a decent vehicle, especially if you need it for towing, but it's not the most comfortable or stylish option out there. It's worth noting that it doesn't perform well in winter, but that may be due to the tires that came with it not being the best for snow.

I love driving my Pathfinder! The heated seats and steering wheel are amazing, and I really appreciate how well it handles. It's also nice and quiet on the highway, contrary to what another review said. The navigation and Bluetooth are great features too. So far, I'm really happy with everything about it, except for the heat and remote start. While driving, the heat is great, but it doesn't stay warm inside the vehicle when sitting still. Additionally, the remote start only lasts for about 8 to 10 minutes, and most of the time it won't restart via remote. This can be frustrating, but I'm sure I'll figure out the best way to work around this small issue. I traded in a Kia Soul for this Pathfinder in December of 2022, and even though it's a 2016 model, it drives like it's brand new. The acceleration is great, the steering is very responsive, and the ride is smooth. The gas mileage for an SUV is also really good.

The PF is a truck-based SUV with impressive off-road capabilities, which is exactly why I decided to purchase it. Not only did it save me thousands of dollars compared to its competitors, but I also appreciate its 4WD function, DVD player, rapid acceleration (0-60mph in just 7.4 seconds), and third row seats that are perfect for children. Overall, I believe that the PF is a great SUV for its price.

After reading so many disparaging reviews, I saved the Nissan Pathfinder for my last test drive. Earlier that day, I had driven the top-rated Kia Sorento and the Honda Pilot. I can say that they are all nice in their own way and can be noisy when the engine is pushed. If you're looking for a tight, feature-packed, precision machine with a ton of value, go with the Kia Sorento. If you love the smoothness of a Lincoln but want a more versatile vehicle, go for the Honda Pilot. HOWEVER, if you want that elusive 'farfegnugen' - the youthful joys of driving a car that literally MOVES with your own body and sense of gravity - be sure to drive the Nissan Pathfinder before you make up your mind.

The map navigation is just as good as Waze and the heads up display is a great feature. I can understand why you're addicted to it! It's great that it's easy to turn on and off, especially in parking garages. (Update) The car still runs well and I still get good MPG's in city/highway driving, averaging 22-24. However, I have noticed a few issues with the materials used in the car. For instance, the lights on the ceiling above the doors that help light up the second row don't seem to be working. Additionally, I have had a piece of rubber sealant come off the top of my car, which is disappointing. Despite these issues, I still appreciate the spaciousness of the car, especially with a child seat, and the ability to slide the whole second row back so the child isn't kicking the back of the driver/passenger seats. The Bluetooth connectivity is also great, and I love how it connects instantly to my phone. Although the handling can feel sluggish at times, the acceleration is great and the car looks stylish and sporty. Overall, I have had a positive experience with this car, and while I may consider other options in the future, I would still recommend it to others.It's clear that this car isn't in the same league as Infiniti or Lexus, but I found the interior to be smooth and the controls easy to manage. There are also plenty of helpful options to choose from, which is why I ultimately chose this car over the Explorer. I've been getting great gas mileage on both long and short trips - I can even drive from Houston to Oklahoma City on a single tank of gas! The only issue I've had is with the backup camera, which has been acting up. The screen changes colors randomly and gets fuzzy, but I can still see out of it. I took it to the dealership and they fixed it for free, but the problem came back after about a week. They replaced the whole console last time, but I don't really care what they replace as long as the camera stops messing up. I bought the car in 2014 with about 4500 miles on it, and now it has about 32,000 miles on it and it's still going strong. Update - I no longer have any issues with the backup camera. The car now has 101,000 miles on it and it still runs well, although the materials inside the cabin are starting to wear down. While I still like my vehicle and enjoy driving it, I don't think I would purchase another Pathfinder. I'm ready to try something new after this.

I purchased this vehicle as a leftover demo. Although I have enjoyed driving the Pathfinder, it has required several repairs over time. These include broken bolts at the manifold/exhaust interface, which I discovered when a valve between the fuel tank and engine needed replacement. Additionally, I had to replace the front brakes at 52K, the clutch at 60K, and the struts at 65K, despite never engaging in more than light off-roading. The cost of replacing each strut was $1000. The climate control system has been a bit clumsy, resulting in the truck being either too cold or too warm. Perhaps Nissan could benefit from focusing on improving their vehicles rather than trying to compete with Toyota and Honda.

I hope you're doing well! I wanted to share my experience with the SUV I purchased in April from the dealership. I've noticed that the car automatically changes from Drive mode to Neutral when you stop at a stop sign, so just be aware of that. Also, it's important to remember not to leave your keys in the car, as it will auto lock on you. Unfortunately, this happened to me at the gas station and at the car wash. The front seats may not be the most comfortable and the back seats may not fold down level, but there are still some great features to appreciate. Although it may have less storage than the previous model, it still has some useful compartments. Additionally, the gas mileage is comparable to the previous model. Overall, there are some downsides, but there are still some positive aspects to consider.
