The Nissan Pathfinder is a range of sport utility vehicles manufactured by Nissan since 1986. - Summary: I had a 2006 Nissan Pathfinder that was “bought back” by Nissan after 6 years of use because of a “rusted frame” and now once again I have a 2010 Nissan Pathfinder, where the rear sub-frame rusted through and caused the wheel to give out and track wrong -causing a life-or-death situation. I do not need an independent or dealer to confirm, it is obvious. There was no prior warning, thank God I was not on a turnpike going fast! I went on line an evidently other Pathfinder owners have had experience the same issue of a rusted sub-frame holding the rear wheels on the vehicle. I think the NTSA is well aware of the problem concerning this issue with Nissan and should take action to have this corrected. Other Nissan owners have complained. Nissan sells the sub-frame for about 1000.00. Nissan warranty should have covered the problem being they specifically went full on body frame, because of the rust & recall of the prior generation Nissan Pathfinder - which was a unibody. Full on frame was to get owners back.

- Summary: I was traveling at approx. 35 mph when the car shuddered violently for a second or two, all panel lights lit up and everything completely shut down while going through a very busy 6-lane intersection. All steering, brakes, and maneuverability were lost. I was lucky to coast to a safe spot and if this had happened on an interstate it may have easily been catastrophic. The dealer found a failed cam shaft sensors (their verbiage on the bill). Replaced both and the crank sensor.

THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED BY THE INSPECTOR THAT DATA PULLED FROM THE COMPUTER SIMULATED A POSSIBLE ROLL OVER AND DEPLOYED THE AIR BAG AS DESIGNED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 150,248.

HOW HASN'T THIS BEEN RECALLED YET, ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING THAT NHTSA HAS ALREADY INVESTIGATED IT? IT IS NOT A COINCIDENCE THAT ALL OF THESE VEHICLE EXPERIENCE THE SAME PROBLEM! MY VEHICLE HAS BEEN REPAIRED AT NISSAN DEALERSHIP, WITH NO ASSISTANCE FROM NISSAN. $5086 TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION AND RADIATOR, AND HOOK THE SAME DEFECTIVE SYSTEM BACK UP TO INEVITABLY FAIL AGAIN. THE GENERAL MANAGER REFUSED TO FIX THE VEHICLE AT NO COST AND TOLD US THE THE REPAIR WOULD COST $1700.00 SINCE THIS IS A STANDARD REPAIR NOT A SAFETY ISSUE.

THE TRANSMISSION NEEDS TO BE REPLACE, THE RADIATOR NEEDS TO BE REPLACE, FLUSH OF COOLANT SYSTEM, FLUSH OF TRANSMISSION AND REPLACE ALL FLUIDS (TRANSMISSION OIL & COOLANT FLUID). I REPLACEMENT OF TRANSMISSION OR REBUILD. I HAD THE TRANSMISSION REPAIRED AT A COST $3000.00 PLUS A RADIATOR AND FLUIDS/OIL AT A COST $500.00 FOR TOTAL $3500.00.

- Summary: I BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE NEW IN 2010. WE ARE A VERY TYPICAL USERS WITH A FAMILY OF FOUR (CURRENTLY WITH ABOUT 120K MILES). I'VE HAD REGULAR PROBLEMS (SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT WOULD TURN ON). STARTED WITH SPARK PLUG REPLACEMENT A FEW TIMES, ENGINE CONTROL MODULE REPLACEMENT, AND NOW LATEST ENGINE REPLACEMENT. I'VE ALREADY SPENT MORE THAN $6K OVER THE LAST FEW YEARS ON THESE ISSUES. THE DEALER IS NOW QUOTING $12K FOR REPLACING THE ENGINE. I SIMPLY CANNOT AFFORD THIS. PLEASE LET ME KNOW RIGHT AWAY WHAT OPTIONS I CAN PURSUE (INCLUDING A LEMON LAWYER, ETC.).

- Summary: Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2008-2011 Titan, Frontier, Xterra, Pathfinder, Armada, and 2008-2009 Quest vehicles. The resin emblem on the driver's air bag cover may develop cracks and detach during air bag deployment.
- Consequence: A detached emblem can become a projectile during air bag deployment, increasing the risk of injury to vehicle occupants.
- Remedy: Dealers will replace the drivers airbag cover. Owner letters were mailed December 8, 2023. Owners may contact Nissan's customer service at 1-800-867-7669. Nissan's number for this recall are PC944, PC945, and PC946.

The PF is a truck-based SUV with impressive off-road capabilities, which is exactly why I decided to purchase it. Not only did it save me thousands of dollars compared to its competitors, but I also appreciate its 4WD function, DVD player, rapid acceleration (0-60mph in just 7.4 seconds), and third row seats that are perfect for children. Overall, I believe that the PF is a great SUV for its price.

I recently purchased a Nissan Pathfinder 2WD SE. This SUV has been a dream come true for me! As a mother of two children (a toddler and a baby), I needed a vehicle with more interior room than a car. I found the Pathfinder to be the perfect choice due to its dependability, price, and overall quality that Nissan has always provided. I am extremely satisfied with this truck and would highly recommend it to other families!

I bought my Pathfinder after buying an Xterra that I wasn't happy with. The Pathfinder has none of that plastic trim around the bumpers. It has a wonderful amount of space. Although the gas mileage is not the best, it is to be expected from an SUV of this size. The third row seating easily folds down into the floor. However, the interior dashboard (radio area) is somewhat plain and could use some updating and sprucing up a bit.

When my family and I were deciding between the Pathfinder and 4Runner, we ultimately chose the latter. It has been a great fit for our needs here in Colorado - comfortable for city and highway driving, perfect for camping trips, and surprisingly capable off-road. The interior design and quality are really nice, and overall we are very happy with our purchase after 3 years of ownership. My wife absolutely loves it! However, I have noticed some questionable built quality when off-roading, as there are annoying squeaks and rattles that make it feel like the truck is going to fall apart. That being said, it is surprisingly smooth and quiet on the road. If you don't plan on going off-road, there may be better options available, but for our family, the 4Runner has been a great choice.

I bought this vehicle in April 2010 to replace my old Chevy Trailblazer, which was becoming unreliable. Comfort and electronics were important to me, as well as a dependable vehicle. However, I found that I had to purchase a more expensive vehicle than I wanted just to get a few important options. Unfortunately, those features did not work as promised. When I drove the vehicle off the lot, I noticed two issues: the Bluetooth connection for the phone did not sound good and the windshield was improperly installed, causing an awful noise in the wind and at high speeds. After much effort and loss of use, the noise is now fixed. However, the Bluetooth issue appears to be a result of poor design and is not fixable. I have owned several vehicles with a built-in cell connection and frequently rent vehicles for work travel, so I have a lot of vehicles to compare this one to. Unfortunately, the Bluetooth in this vehicle is the worst I have ever experienced. It is almost bearable if the vehicle is not in motion, but it is impossible to carry on a normal phone conversation when at speed. If you are looking for only intermittent emergency use of the Bluetooth/cell feature, this might get the job done for you. However, if you are looking to return calls and conduct business while on the move, I suggest you look elsewhere. It is also worth noting that the Bluetooth in this vehicle is only for the phone.To play music from your iPhone, you'll need to use an RCA cable. Additionally, you'll need to charge your phone from one of the 12V power outlets, which means you'll have at least two wires running around your vehicle. However, beyond these issues, the vehicle is average. It gets 18.4 MPG almost no matter what you're doing. It's a great dog transporter, as I leave the 3rd row set down all the time, so there's more space in the back. My pooch loves the rear A/C. The 2nd row of seating looks big to me, and I imagine it's fine for kids, but my workmates tell me there's no legroom when we go to lunch. The vehicle is serviced on time, and there have been no significant mechanical issues beyond those I have already mentioned. You could do worse, but I would not recommend buying from Falkner Nissan in Harrisburg, PA.
