- Summary: On October 23 2023 I purchased from Firestone where I have been a customer for some 30 years paying nearly $1000 for 4 tires. 1) On January 6, 2024 the first tire on the front driver"s side had picked up a nail GEICO road hadzard came and removed the tire. Firestone said they could not repair the tire and replaced it with another SureDrive new tire and charged me $55 plus dollars to replace. 2) On March 14, 2024 the 2nd tire on the rear passenger side picked up another nail GEICO came again and removed the tire that one was patched for free. 3) Then on May 2, 2024 the front passenger side with a slash and could not be repaired so it was replaced with a new tire and charges me some $25. 4) Then on July 24, 2024 the rear driver side and that tire had picked up a nail and by then I had started carrying an air pump in case of a flat and I would not have to wait for Roadside Service. So that time I left the nail in the tire and covered it with heavy piece of duct tape. Then attached the pump and aired it up and drove to the nearest Firestone where they patched that tire. Now I have four tires on my car with patches. Even the on new tire that replaced the slashed tired soon picked up a nail and had to be patched. I bought the tires because I had Michelin tires on my vehicle for which Firestone said during a Auto-Care complete check special for $9.99, that my tires were 12 years old and was dry rotted and dangerous to keep driving on. Being that I am a senior and ride alone most times I took their advice and bought a set of 4 new tires. I have asked the landlord to check their security cameras to rule out vandalism and I asked if others had suffered unusual tire flats. The answer was none. I live in a very clean and cared for apartment. Therefore it must be the tires. Maybe they were used instead of new. Perhaps you can help. Because now I feel more unsafe than before I bought the new tires. I am just worn out getting tire flats repaired.

2020-01-09

- Components: AIR BAGS:FRONTAL:PASSENGER SIDE:INFLATOR MODULE
- Summary: Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2001-2003 Maxima, 2002-2006 Sentra, 2002-2004 Pathfinder, 2007-2011 Versa Sedan and Versa Hatchback, 2001-2004 Infiniti I30 and I35, 2002-2003 Inifiniti QX4, 2003-2008 Infiniti FX35 and FX45 and 2006-2010 M35 and M45 vehicles. The vehicles are equipped with non-desiccated, frontal passenger air bag inflators containing phase stabilized ammonium nitrate (PSAN) propellant that were used as interim remedy parts for previous Takata recalls. These inflators may explode due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to high absolute humidity, high temperatures, and high temperature cycling.
- Consequence: An inflator explosion may result in sharp metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants resulting in serious injury or death.
- Remedy: Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will replace the front passenger air bag inflators with alternate desiccated inflators, free of charge. The recall began February 12, 2020. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 888-737-9511 or Infiniti customer service at 888-810-3715.

- Summary: Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain model year 2001-2003 Nissan Maxima, 2002-2004 Pathfinder, 2002-2006 Sentra, 2002-2003 Infiniti QX4 and I35, 2003 FX35 and FX45, and 2001 I30 vehicles. Upon deployment of the passenger side frontal air bag, excessive internal pressure may cause the inflator to rupture.
- Consequence: In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the passenger's frontal air bag, the inflator could rupture with metal fragments striking the vehicle occupants potentially resulting in serious injury or death.
- Remedy: Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will replace the passenger air bag inflator, free of charge. The recall began on June 15, 2015. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261. Note: On December 18, 2015 Nissan informed NHTSA of an amendment of this recall to remove 2004-2005 Infiniti FX35 and FX45 vehicles.

- Consequence: THE STRUT HOUSING MAY CRACK AND PULL AWAY FROM THE INNER HOOD LEDGE ASSEMBLY. THIS MAY LEAD TO GRINDING NOISES, INCREASED STEERING EFFORT, AND POSSIBLY THE STEERING COLUMN TO BREAK, RESULTING IN THE LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL, WHICH COULD RESULT IN A CRASH.
- Remedy: NISSAN WILL INSPECT THE STRUT HOUSING AND REPAIR THE VEHICLES AS NECESSARY, FREE OF CHARGE. AN INTERIM NOTIFICATION LETTER WAS SENT OUT IN MAY 2011. THE SECOND NOTICE WAS MAILED ON JULY 25, 2011. OWNERS MAY CONTACT NISSAN AT 1-800-647-7261.

I traded my Ford Expedition for my Nissan and I couldn't be happier. The Pathfinder is a fantastic all-around vehicle that excels in fuel efficiency, comfort, and handling. I have nothing negative to say about it and I believe it offers great value for its performance as an SUV.

I upgraded to a Nissan at the encouragement of my husband and have owned it since the end of December 2004. I must say, the acceleration and performance are great! The comfort level is also very good, which means I no longer have to stop several times during trips to stretch. However, I did contact Nissan regarding paint peeling, but unfortunately, it is not considered under warranty.

I traded in my 2000 Durango for a Pathfinder, hoping for better gas mileage. To my surprise, the Durango actually had better gas mileage than the Pathfinder! I'm really disappointed with the gas mileage I'm getting now. If I'm lucky, I get about 220 miles to a gallon of gas, which is only 11 miles to the gallon. That's really frustrating.

This SUV has several issues, including a service engine light that is constantly on, faulty catalytic converters and oxygen sensors, overheating when towing uphill, and poor front suspension and brakes. However, I am confident that these issues can be resolved with the right repairs and maintenance.

Hi there! I wanted to share my experience with my Nissan car. Unfortunately, after a month of purchasing it, I noticed that the speedometer stopped working when I was driving at 55mph and above. I contacted the dealer and they informed me that the Unified Processor needed to be replaced. However, the part has been on back order since September 20th. I reached out to Nissan for assistance and while they promised to help me and call me back, I never received a response. On top of that, I've noticed a minor issue with the driver's seat making noise when turning. I hope your experience with your car has been better than mine. Thank you for listening!
