Then I have this new safety problem as well and I don't know why and I don't have the kind of money that would be charged to take it to the Nissan Dealership. I feel that this is one too many recalls on this vehicle there are 5 to be exact at this time. I want Nissan to replace my vehicle with something comparable and don't think that if the airbag is inoperable or that a component could kill somebody that this car should be driven on the roads. What are they going to do about this this is not a safety issue that should just be ignored. The car is paid for its still in very good condition but for me it is now unsafe to drive or to have a passenger in my vehicle. I want some remedy for this asap.

DUE TO AN IMPROPER WELDING PROCESS SOME COLLARS MAY CONTAIN WELDS THAT DO NOT MEET STRENGTH SPECIFICATIONS.
- Consequence: IF THE COLLAR WELD SEPARATES, THE VEHICLE HANDLING WILL DETERIORATE, POSSIBLY RESULTING IN A VEHICLE CRASH.

Other than gas mileage which we expected with the V8, I'm so glad to hear that you LOVE your Pathfinder! It's great to hear that the outside is quite attractive and it rides like a dream. I understand that you would like the inside to be a bit more luxurious, but it's still very practical.

After months of researching various SUVs, I ultimately decided on the 2008 SE Pathfinder over the Lexus RX 350 and other options. The price and features of the 08 Pathfinder made it the perfect choice for me. I opted for the SE model with the leather package, premium sound, and tint. Additionally, I invested in the extended warranty with tire replacement. I have been driving it for a week now and I am thoroughly enjoying the ride. If you decide to go with the SE model, I recommend getting a cargo mat to prevent any scratches on the rubber.

The car downshifts with a noticeable thump when you take your foot off the accelerator just above 40 mph, and upshifts with the same noticeable thump when you press the accelerator again. The dealer tested another 2008 and confirmed that this is a normal occurrence due to the dual torque converter in the 2008 model. Additionally, the 2008 model may consume more gas than the 2005 model. It is worth noting that the gas cap door of the 2008 model recommends the use of premium gas for best results, whereas the 2005 model did not have this recommendation.

If you're looking for an SUV with a V8 that can pull over 6000 lbs and still be easy to park, the Pathfinder is an amazing choice with its 317 horsepower. I've test driven the 4 runner and the Sequoia, but I found them underpowered and overpriced. Before making a decision, I highly recommend checking out the Pathfinder!

The vehicle has an impressive build quality, making it feel like an unstoppable machine with its power and tightness. In my opinion, it is the best vehicle I have ever owned. The luxury interior is awesome and has everything you could want in a car (LE version). While the gas mileage is not great (12.9), it is not a concern for me as I did not purchase it for that reason. The electric 4x4 is great and never misses a beat when locking in or catching it in auto. The suspension is great and the brakes are ultra-smooth. It is important to note that the V6 and V8 are completely different, and I have driven both. The V8 is the real deal, while the V6 is a wannabe.

I should love this car. It's loaded with options and I got a great price on it. However, I have noticed a few issues with it. The engine can be a bit noisy and unrefined, and the transmission occasionally shifts slowly or roughly. Additionally, the interior is starting to show some wear and tear, with the plastics not aging as well as I would have hoped and the leather beginning to sag. I have also noticed a few interior squeaks and rattles, as well as an annoying clicking sound. While the ride can be a bit rough, it is important to keep in mind that this is an SUV. Overall, I am still happy with my purchase, although I do miss my previous 4Runner's smoother ride.

At first, I absolutely loved my Pathfinder. The V8 engine was incredibly powerful, the Bose sound system was amazing, and all the luxurious gadgets were fantastic. However, after about two weeks, I started to notice some rattling noises. They seemed to be coming from everywhere - the wheel, the frame, the doors, and even the dashboard. When I took it off-road, it felt like I was driving a covered wagon. The rattling was just too noticeable. I had a 2000 Pathfinder with 100k on it, and it was as solid as a rock. While the Pathfinder is a great car for highway driving and has an outstanding 0-60 speed, it's not the best choice for off-road and mountain sports due to its low clearance and excessive rattling.

This vehicle is really nice, but unfortunately, the windows make a lot of rattling noise when brought down while driving, which can be quite unpleasant. I personally cannot even open mine. When I brought this issue up with the dealer, they said they had never heard of the problem and couldn't do anything about it. There was also a recent recall for the clock, which was giving the wrong time every now and then. Additionally, the power seats are always being touched every time I enter or exit the vehicle, causing them to be reset every time. It can be quite frustrating.

I have been experiencing a similar issue of bucking/thumping at or around 40mph. Upon inspection, a senior tech confirmed that Nissan is aware of the issue and is currently working on a solution. While this is not ideal for an '08 model, I am confident that Nissan will resolve the issue in a timely manner.

Hi there! I recently purchased a vehicle and have been experiencing some issues with hard downshifting and bucking when accelerating around 40 mph. I took it to the dealer and they tried to fix it by adding some transmission fluid, but unfortunately, the issue persisted. I went back a second time and even had the shop manager drive it with me, but they still couldn't find anything wrong. When I asked for written confirmation, they admitted that there was indeed an issue and wanted to keep the vehicle longer to fix it. Interestingly, they also mentioned that they have 6 more pathfinders on the lot with the same problem. I'm still waiting for a resolution as the issue has now spread to downshifting hard at all different speeds. Thank you for your help!
