Jaguar problems
Jaguar (UK: /ˈdʒæɡjuər/, US: /ˈdʒæɡwɑːr/) is the sports car and luxury vehicle brand of Jaguar Land Rover, a British multinational car manufacturer with its headquarters in Whitley, Coventry, England. Jaguar Cars was the company that was responsible for the production of Jaguar cars until its operations were fully merged with those of Land Rover to form Jaguar Land Rover on 1 January 2013.
Jaguar's business was founded as the Swallow Sidecar Company in 1922, originally making motorcycle sidecars before developing bodies for passenger cars. Under the ownership of SS Cars, the business extended to complete cars made in association with Standard Motor Company, many bearing Jaguar as a model name. The company's name was changed from SS Cars to Jaguar Cars in 1945. A merger with the British Motor Corporation followed in 1966, the resulting enlarged company now being renamed as British Motor Holdings (BMH), which in 1968 merged with Leyland Motor Corporation and became British Leyland, itself to be nationalised in 1975.
Jaguar was spun off from British Leyland and was listed on the London Stock Exchange in 1984 until it was acquired by Ford in 1990. Since the late 1970s, Jaguar manufactured cars for the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, the most recent prime ministerial car delivery being an XJ (X351) in May 2010. The company also held royal warrants from Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles.
Ford owned Jaguar Cars, also buying Land Rover in 2000, until 2008 when it sold both to Tata Motors. Tata created Jaguar Land Rover as a subsidiary holding company. At operating company level, Jaguar Cars was merged in 2013 with Land Rover to form Jaguar Land Rover as the single design, manufacture, sales company, and brand owner for both Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles.
Since the Ford ownership era, Jaguar and Land Rover have used joint design facilities in engineering centres at Whitley in Coventry and Gaydon in Warwickshire and Jaguar cars have been assembled in plants at Castle Bromwich and Solihull. On 15 February 2021, Jaguar Land Rover announced that all cars made under the Jaguar brand will be fully electric by 2025.

Ignition Coil Issues
Ignition coils in Jaguar cars can fail, causing the engine to run inadequately.
Brake Failure
Brake failure is another common issue in Jaguar cars, specifically the brake pressure accumulator, which can cause the brake pedal to go stiff, making it difficult to slow down or stop.
Engine Issues
Jaguar cars can experience engine problems, including issues with the timing chain and overheating engines.
Wheel Nut Problems
Jaguar cars can also experience problems with their wheel nuts due to the type of materials used for wheel nut covers.
Electronic Systems
Jaguar cars can develop electronic system, component, and sensor issues, causing features to stop working or warning lights and signals to appear for issues that are actually in working order.
Preventive Measures
Proper maintenance by an experienced specialist is crucial to making a Jaguar last longer and avoiding major issues.

- Summary: The car sometimes has a hard time to start engine. I have to pump the gas pedal numerous times quickly to finally get the car to start. Other times the car starts normally . Also sometimes when the engine is on and in the park position ; the engine may turn off. The auto off button has been eliminated from the problem because I turn that off; so this issue should not be associated with that component . Perhaps it’s a failing fuel pump or perhaps the valves get stuck flooding the carb making it too lean. I still have not figured out the issue but I am concerned driving the car since sometimes I won’t start .

- Summary: My Jaguar dealer implemented what they said was a H514 interim recall update remedy on my 2019 I-Pace while it was in for other repairs. This remedy action is stated on this web site to "have their maximum state of charge altered to80%". Not less than or more than 80%. My dealer apparently gave a false high temperature signal to the current H441 software in my car and the car tripped to prevent charging > 72%. This brings in a large message on the dash "Traction Battery Fault". Jaguar is apparently taking a shortcut that does not meet their stated response to the NHTSB as to what they will do for the interim update. Truthfulness in Jaguars reporting to the NHTSB is in doubt due to this action.

- Summary: Inquiry Regarding Safety Recall and Manufacturer Responsability Dear NHTSA, I am seeking your assistance regarding a vehicle I imported from the United States to Iceland. The vehicle, Jaguar i-pace 2019, has been identified as having a defective and dangerous battery, which is part of a safety recall in the U.S. Despite this, the manufacturer’s representative in Iceland refuses to honor the recall or provide a replacement battery, citing that the car is no longer in the U.S. Given the serious safety risks, I would appreciate guidance on what steps I can take or what recourse I have. Is there any possibility to enforce the recall or ensure the manufacturer takes responsibility even outside the U.S.? Thank you for your assistance.
