Pontiac Grand prix problems
The Grand Prix is a line of automobiles produced by the Pontiac Division of General Motors from 1962 until 2002 as coupes and from 1989 through 2008 model years as four-door sedans.
First introduced as a full-size performance coupe for the 1962 model year, the model varied repeatedly in size, luxury, and performance during its production. The Grand Prix was the most expensive coupe Pontiac offered until the 1970s, when the Bonneville Brougham and the Firebird Trans Am became more exclusive. Among the changes were positioning in the personal luxury car market segment and mid-size car offering from the second generation to the fifth generation for the sedan and from the second generation to the sixth generation from the coupe.
All Grand Prixs from 1962 through 1972 were pillarless hardtops (except for the 1967 convertible),

- Steering Issues: Steering problems are another common issue in the Grand Prix. Vehicle year: 2006
I've owned this car for over two years now, and I absolutely love it! I stumbled upon it by chance, as I was originally looking for either a Maxima or a Charger. However, I'm so glad I found this car because it's truly awesome. It has a unique look that turns heads wherever I go, and I've never seen another one like it in my area. Everyone who rides in it loves it, and my wife especially enjoys driving it. It's incredibly comfortable to drive, and I've never had any issues with it. The 3800 motor is a legend in the car world, and mechanics are always impressed when they see the 3800 V6 wrapped with headers and a supercharger.

The 3.8 has a great transmission and engine, decent mpg, great performance, and is incredibly smooth. It's fun to drive but also comfortable on the highway. It has always started for me. I owned it from 90k to 140k. However, there are some issues with the electronics around it. The power steering rack leaks, the gas gauge bounces around, and the traction control stops randomly. Additionally, the power windows tend to break and the brake cylinders can seize. The LED on the radio also likes to dance sometimes. Unfortunately, fixing these issues can be quite expensive, with most repairs costing at least $400. Despite these flaws, it is still an extremely dependable car. If you're a home mechanic, then go for it! However, after 120k, it's best to avoid it like the plague if you can't fix it yourself.

I recently traded my Saturn L300 for the Grand Prix GT and I am very satisfied. Despite the tight back seat, I have no complaints. The interior is spacious, although the legroom in the backseat is less than my old Saturn. I was able to get a great lease deal with incentives and my dad's employee discount. The supercharged 3800 is both smooth and strong, and it also gets good fuel economy. I highly recommend this vehicle as an alternative to the everyday Camry and Accord.

Vehicle year: 1998
I bought my car for $800 from a cousin who had let it sit for a year. His cousin had bought it brand new and took great care of it. Although I had to put about $1000 of work into it, I was able to install a brand new radiator, transmission line, rear struts, tie rods, stabilizers, front wheel bearings, new motor mount, main oil switch, tires, and belt tensioner. I absolutely love this car! It runs like a champ and I have never had a problem with the engine. It is great on fuel for having a 3.8L engine and is fast for a V6. If this car ever blows up in a few years, I will definitely buy the same car again. I just love it!

Firstly, I want to express my admiration for this car. I was able to purchase it for under $5K with 94K miles on it. Although I am quite skilled with a wrench, having been a mechanic in the past, I found that this car is not easy to work on in a driveway. It is designed to be serviced in a professional shop environment. Despite this, it is a fantastic car. If you plan to do repairs yourself, be prepared to spend a lot of time on seemingly simple jobs, or alternatively, take it to a shop for repairs. Apart from that, the car is excellent. I have spent around $1500 on repairs in the year and a half that I have owned it. It is important to remember that while the L67 is incredibly durable, the external accessories and sensors have a limited lifespan and will eventually need to be replaced. This is true for all cars.

Hey there! I just wanted to share my experience with this car. I bought it back in 2009 with 71K miles on it, and I have to say, I'm pretty impressed with it! It starts up every time, no matter the weather, and I've put a lot of miles on it since then - the clock currently shows 137K! The good news is that it still has plenty of power with the standard 3.8 engine, and the sound system is pretty decent. Plus, it gets great fuel economy for its size, and I think it looks pretty nice too! Of course, there are a few downsides - I had to replace the intake manifold and gaskets around 100K, and there's a solenoid in the transmission that's starting to go bad. Also, the roof line is a bit low, so my head almost touches the ceiling (and I'm 6'1

Vehicle year: 1995
Although I initially enjoyed my car, it quickly became a nightmare. Despite purchasing a warranty, I experienced numerous issues with the steering, transmission, motor, ball joint, and more. Unfortunately, the root problem of power loss and random shifting was never resolved. Even after selling the car, the new owner reported a blown head. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this car.

Vehicle year: 1995
I got this vehicle back in 2000 when it had approximately 154,000 km on it. It was running well until about 20,000 km later when a few things started to go wrong. The transmission blew, the water pump and thermostat died, and the hood even flew off the vehicle (although that's probably a rare occurrence, so don't worry too much about it). The ignition switch also died, making it impossible to turn the key, and both tie rods snapped. I can't remember all the other issues that came up, but despite all of this, the engine - a 3.1L 6 cylinder - lasted a long time without needing any repairs. If you're thinking of purchasing one of these vehicles, I would recommend looking for one with under 10,000 miles on it, otherwise you might be in for a spending spree.

This sounds like a fantastic car! It was previously driven by Pontiac executives and had only 24,000 miles on it when we got it. It lasted through two new babies and numerous long road trips. The operator controls and interior features have lots of safety features built in. While it may not have been 100% reliable like many imports, it was still a good car overall.

I've owned several B.O.P (Buick, Oldsmobile, Pontiac) cars in my life and this is a good one. I like the handling and performance. Durability for the car its self is ok, mine has 287,652 miles on it. I got it 2 years ago from a close friend who has had it since nearly new. The 3.1 L is sporty and fun but the transmission is a joke, they only last about 100,000 miles or less. My car has had the engine and transmission replaced and runs fine. ( tranny no longer has overdrive) you can trust me, with this many miles on it, I've found the bugs
