Aston martin problems
Aston Martin Lagonda Global Holdings PLC (/ˈæstən/) is a British manufacturer of luxury sports cars and grand tourers. Its predecessor was founded in 1913 by Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford. Steered from 1947 by David Brown, it became associated with expensive grand touring cars in the 1950s and 1960s, and with the fictional character James Bond following his use of a DB5 model in the 1964 film Goldfinger. Their grand tourers and sports cars are regarded as a British cultural icon.
Aston Martin has held a Royal Warrant as purveyor of motorcars to Charles III since 1982, and has over 160 car dealerships in 53 countries, making it a global automobile brand. The company is traded on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index. In 2003 it received the Queen's Award for Enterprise for outstanding contribution to international trade. The company has survived seven bankruptcies throughout its history.
The headquarters and main production of its sports cars and grand tourers are in a 55-acre (22 ha) facility in Gaydon, Warwickshire, England, on the former site of RAF Gaydon, adjacent to the Jaguar Land Rover Gaydon Centre. The old 3.6-acre (1.5 ha) facility in Newport Pagnell, Buckinghamshire is the present home of the Aston Martin Works classic car department, which focuses on heritage sales, service, spares and restoration operations. The 90-acre (36 ha) factory in St Athan, Wales features three converted 'super-hangars' from MOD St Athan, and serves as the production site of Aston Martin's first-ever SUV, the DBX.
Aston Martin has been involved in motorsport at various points in its history, mainly in sports car racing, and also in Formula One. The Aston Martin brand is increasingly being used, mostly through licensing, on other products including a submarine, real estate development, and aircraft.

Common Aston martin problems
Aston Martin cars, synonymous with luxury and performance, are not entirely immune to issues that may arise during ownership. While these problems are not commonplace, it is essential for potential and current Aston Martin owners to be aware of them.
Electrical Problems
One of the recurring challenges in Aston Martins revolves around electrical systems. Owners have reported issues such as malfunctioning dashboard displays, intermittent power window failures, or faulty sensors. These problems can often be traced back to loose connections, faulty wiring, or electronic component failures. Seeking the assistance of a qualified technician with experience in Aston Martins is crucial to diagnose and address these electrical gremlins effectively.
Transmission Troubles
A few Aston Martin models have experienced transmission-related issues. Owners have reported instances of rough shifting, gear slippage, or even complete transmission failure. These problems can stem from issues with the clutch, hydraulic components, or electronic controls. Regular maintenance, including fluid changes and inspections, can help prevent major transmission problems. Promptly addressing any signs of transmission issues, such as strange noises or difficulty shifting, can save you from expensive repairs down the line.
Suspension Woes
Aston Martins are renowned for their superb handling and precision on the road. However, some owners have faced challenges with their suspension systems. Complaints have included squeaks, rattles, or harsh ride quality. These issues may be attributed to worn-out bushings, damaged shock absorbers, or misaligned components. Routine inspections of the suspension system and addressing any signs of wear or damage can help maintain the desired driving experience in your Aston Martin.
Engine Performance Concerns
While Aston Martin engines are known for their power and exhilaration, there have been instances of engine-related problems reported by owners. These can range from oil leaks and overheating issues to misfires or reduced performance. Regular maintenance, including timely oil changes, cooling system inspections, and periodic engine tune-ups, can help prevent such issues. Additionally, ensuring the use of high-quality fuel and following manufacturer-recommended service intervals can contribute to the longevity and reliability of your Aston Martin engine.
Shoddy Paint and Interior Trim
Aston Martin has received reports of paint problems and interior trim issues in some of its models. The main complaint is that the paint is peeling or chipping off, and that the interior trim is coming loose. Aston Martin is investigating these reports and working on a fix for the problem. In the meantime, owners of affected vehicles should take them to an Aston Martin mechanic for inspection and repairs.
Customer Service from the Manufacturer
Aston Martin has been facing a number of customer service issues. One common complaint is that the company's customer service representatives are often unresponsive or unavailable. Additionally, many Aston Martin owners have reported difficulty reaching someone when they have a problem with their car. Others have complained about the quality of the customer service they received when they did reach someone. The company appears to be aware of these problems and is working to address them.
Despite these challenges, Aston Martin remains a coveted brand in the automotive world, with its unique blend of style, performance, and luxury. By staying informed about potential issues and maintaining regular vehicle maintenance, owners can enjoy the unparalleled experience of driving an Aston Martin.

- Summary: It appears that my car started itself, went into gear and drove into my garage. At 9:00 PM om Thursday my dog was barking and growling, I suspected someone was outside. I went to investigate and saw my car running and lodged against my garage and garage door. It would stop and start again and try to move forward but it was stuck against the wall and door. The car moved approximately 6 feet from where it was parked. This is a very dangerous condition. If a child was in front of the car they would be dead or very seriously injured. I have reported this to Aston Martin but have yet to receive and information.

- Summary: THE CONTROL CIRCUIT BOARD FAILED INSIDE THE LEFT HEADLIGHT. THE LEFT FRONT TURN SIGNAL THEREFORE DOES NOT WORK, AND THE BOARD IS NOT AVAILABLE BY ITSELF. A YEAR LATER (6/2019) THE LEFT REAR TAIL LIGHT DEVELOPED CONDENSATION AND THE BRAKE LIGHT AND TURN SIGNAL FAILED. THESE ARE VERY COMMON PROBLEMS FOR THIS CAR AND NOT REPAIRABLE. OFFICIALLY A NEW HEADLIGHT AND NEW TAIL LIGHT WOULD BE NEEDED. THIS WOULD BE APPROXIMATELY $2500+ FOR JUST ONE TAILLIGHT AND ONE HEADLIGHT PLUS LIKELY 5+HRS LABOR. IT IS VERY LIKELY THE RIGHT SIDE LIGHTS WILL FAIL SOME DAY. TURN SIGNALS SHOULD BE REPAIRABLE. THE CAR IS OVERALL IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, BUT I AM NOT SURE A CAR LIKE THIS SHOULD NEED $6000 IN TURNSIGNAL REPAIRS IN ITS LIFETIME.

- Summary: I'VE HAD IN THE PAST A 2009 V8 VANTAGE (VIN (XXXXX)) WHICH TAIL LIGHTS ALLOWED CONDENSATION IN THEM AND EVENTUALLY FAILED , A 2015 V8GT VANTAGE (VIN (XXXXX)) IN WHICH THE RIGHT TAIL LIGHT HAD CONDENSATION - REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY, AND A 2015 V12S VANTAGE (VIN (XXXXX)) WHO HAD A TAIL LIGHT CONDENSATION AND BOTH HEADLIGHTS FAIL WHEN I OWNED IT. I RECENTLY PURCHASED A 2017 V12S VANTAGE (VIN ENTERED PREVIOUSLY) - BRAND NEW A FEW MONTHS AGO - BOTH REAR TAIL LIGHTS HAVE CONDENSATION. THE ISSUE IS THAT ANY WATER IN THE TAIL LIGHTS EVENTUALLY DESTROYS THE LED CIRCUIT BOARDS AND THEN THERE ARE NO TAIL LIGHTS. THE ONLY VANTAGE I'VE OWNED THAT DID NOT HAVE THIS PROBLEM WAS A 2007. THIS IS A WELL KNOWN PROBLEM, AND A SAFETY PROBLEM AS WELL AS WHEN NOT UNDER WARRANTY AN EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE FIX. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN A RECALL A LONG TIME AGO. PICTURES ARE FROM MY CURRENT CAR. I DID NOT EVEN HAVE THE CAR A WEEK, BEFORE THE ISSUE STARTED UP.
