- Summary: The Radiator has a crack in the upper left front of the core causing the fluid to leak and lose pressure causing the engine to overheat. This is a manufacture defect that has not been addressed as of 10/16/2024. The leak was discovered by a certified GM mechanic at a dealership when doing routine maintenance and inspection. The vehicle has never had any indication or advisory light that would alert the operator. As the engine overheats it can cause many of the other components of the vehicle to disable, including but not limited to the ADAS systems as well as power steering and/or collision safety components. This is a manufactures defect with the aluminum radiator that needs to be addressed immediately. Given the information from multiple GM dealerships the amount of newer low mileage Blazers that have been confronted with this problem is unprecedented. This not only creates a danger for the passengers of the vehicle but also every other vehicle on the road.

- Summary: Thermostat is faulty at 55k miles. Purchased 2020 Blazer RS, certified used from Chevy in October 2023. Less than 1 yr later, thermostat is stuck on cold, no ax or heat, drivers assist reduced notice. Same issues as previous documented complaints. The frustration is why this known issue is not covered under warranty or recall! I just had my 50k maintenance service done while this issue was occurring- service told me “well we cleared the codes” , 2 days later check engine is on, temp stuck on cold, fan is over worked and no a/c or heat- and driver assist turns off. The safety issues around causing more engine damage by improper cooling and reduction of driving assistance. Additionally, parking issue with vehicle not recognizing it’s in park and having to wiggle or jam the shifter- car drains battery and won’t lock until resolved. Car is took expensive to have a $1200 replacement not covered under warranty!

I have the extended warranty and still had to pay over $600 to have this fixed which is completey ridiculous for how new and expensice this car is.

- Summary: My 2019 Blazer won't shut off the electrical system because of a "shift to park" error. This causes a drain to the battery and could leave me stranded. The problem is simple electrical switch that is not making the connection to tell the car to shut off. This is a well documented problem with chevy vehicles in the late 2010s and includes multiple models. I have not had the problem verified by a Chevrolet dealer. I've reviewed multipe youtube videos that has had 10s of thousands of views which demonstrates the problem is very wide spread. Why is this not being recalled?

- Summary: When placing the vehicle in the park position and attempting to shut the vehicle off with the push button my DIC flashes a message stating to 'shift vehicle into park'. I have to move the shifter from park to another gear several times in order to keep this from appearing and allowing me to turn my vehicle off. I can take up to 5-6 times before I can get the vehicle to allow me to turn it off. I'm not really sure if it is or isn't in park even when I do this at that point. I have had this happen on multiple occasions over multiple months.

- Summary: 2020 Chevy Blazer - Shift to Park while Gear is already in Park: While putting the gear in park, the warning chime to shift it into park is initiated. It has happened 3 to 4 times in the past three days. I took the vehicle to the Local Chevy Dealership. The Service Team/Dept. diagnosed that the Transmission Shifter Unit Assembly must be replaced. The 2019 Chevy Blazer had these issues which prompted a TSB/Recall however it wasn't extended to the 2020-year models and Chevy Dealership refused to include it as a warranted repair which just passed 44,000 miles. This is a safety issue, and it should be replaced without additional cost to customer as this issue was already identified as a safety concern in 2019, however Chevy does not want to identify the issue as a covered repair per the manufactures warranty.

Power is excellent with the 3.6 V6. The transmission shifts perfectly. Although it's not a necessity, I would have liked to see a built-in phone holder in the console. The interior has a sporty feel and provides ample headroom for taller individuals. Overall, it's a solid car.

Hi there! I hope you're doing well. I just wanted to share my experience with the Equinox and Blazer models. I've been driving the Equinox for over 10 years and have had 3 different models. Recently, I decided to take advantage of the 12% discount sale and upgrade to the Blazer 2LT model with the turbo 2.0. I'm happy to report that I've been getting 29 mpg on the highway in Eco mode, which is great! The Blazer rides much nicer than the Equinox and the engine is stronger. I also appreciate the wider seat, which is more comfortable for my larger rear end. The layout is better too, with the USB in front and not buried inside the console holes. Another great feature is that the 2.0 turbo doesn't require Premium gas. Plus, the sliding middle seat is back, which I loved in earlier Equinox models but not the newer ones. Overall, I'm really pleased with my purchase so far. Thanks for listening!

Whether it's hot and humid or snowing inches at a time, the ZR-2 Blazer is designed to be both fun and stylish. As someone who has owned a few jeeps, I found that while their off-road performance was outstanding, their on-road performance and lack of comfort and features left much to be desired. The ZR-2, on the other hand, offers the best of both worlds. It provides confidence on the trails, while the interior and suspension take care of you on the way there. The back seats can be set down, allowing for huge cargo space, which is perfect for me as an owner of an English Mastiff. If you're looking for a small, fun-to-drive SUV that will last a long time, then check out the ZR-2. I think you'll love it!

I recently purchased this vehicle from the original owner with 120K miles. It looked great and ran decently for about 2 weeks. The previous owner had replaced the radiator, transmission fluid, and plugs, which gave me confidence in the vehicle. However, I soon discovered that it needed several repairs, including a new fuel pump, window motors, AC compressor, radiator hoses, and fixing oil leaks. Unfortunately, the transfer case was also blown out. Overall, it was a costly experience and I would advise others to stay away from this type of truck. I ended up trading it in for a more reliable SUV, a 4Runner. Thank you for considering my experience.

After owning my 1998 Chevrolet Blazer LS for 10 years, I thought it would be helpful to share my experience with it. I purchased the car in 2001 with 36K miles on it. Unfortunately, after the warranty expired at 60K miles, the car started to require a lot of maintenance. Despite reaching out to Chevy for assistance, I was left to deal with the issues on my own. The car needed repairs for the driver's seat lever, all mirrors, passenger seat lock, power windows, rear hatch hydraulic lift levers, distributor (twice), heater core, new radiator, shocks (twice), and it went through a lot of brake pads. Additionally, the check engine light was on for transmission slippage for about 45K miles (which I decided not to fix). Only after everything was fixed twice did it run up to 210K miles. I'm glad to have moved on from it.

I've had this car since day one and it's been a great ride. We take long trips every summer and have never had any issues. We've put 108,000 miles on it and only had to replace the water pump. The brakes have been a bit of a problem for GM, but if you change them yourself it's not too bad. I went through two sets of rotors within 15,000 miles, but once I started changing them myself, I found out it would only cost me $100 a year for new pads and rotors. The interior is nice and comfortable, although there are some rattles and other noises that can get on your nerves after a while.

I love reading everyone's reviews, they are so interesting! I feel lucky to have had such a great experience with my Blazer. I bought it with 95,000 miles on it and now it has almost 200,000. I have had to replace the fuel pump twice, but that was my fault. I hate pumping gas and I tend to push every car I have owned to its limits on an empty tank. Every car I have owned has had to have the fuel pump replaced, but other than that, just basic wear and tear. The transmission started slipping at 190,000, but I put some stop slip in and it's still going strong at almost 200,000 miles. I'm sure the end of this car's life will come sooner or later, but I have been so satisfied with it. I do agree that the gas mileage could be better, but it is an SUV so that's to be expected.
