Chrysler assembled the first three generations of the model line in its Saint Louis Assembly facility (Fenton, Missouri). The fourth and fifth-generation Town & Country were produced by Chrysler Canada by Windsor Assembly (Windsor, Ontario).

I've owned this van for 8 years and it's been a great ride. With the exception of tires, water pump, and tune-ups, everything is still original. It has 230,000 miles on it and still runs perfectly. I'm considering purchasing another Chrysler van next year, but it's going to be tough to part with this one. After reading some negative reviews, I felt compelled to share my positive experience. I know two other people who also own this van and they absolutely love it. It's worth noting that these vans are used by N.Y.C. Taxis and other companies as fleet vehicles because of their dependability. In fact, Med Van has 300 of them and uses them as transport vehicles for patients. That's how reliable they are!

In the past 10 years, I have owned 2 Dodge Caravans and 2 Chrysler Town and Country Limited. The first one was a 1993 Dodge Caravan, which I had for several years with no problems at all, except for a new battery one time. Then, I replaced it with a 1997 Dodge Grand Caravan with 117K miles. I sold the van with over 200K miles and I only had to replace the alternator once, as well as the battery, tires, and brakes. After that, I got a 2002 Chrysler Town & Country with 70K miles. I had to replace the power steering pump, which is a common issue with this van, as well as the battery and brakes. Currently, I have a 2006 Chrysler Town and Country and the only problem I have had is with the power steering pump again. Overall, I think these vans are excellent, although they are not perfect vehicles.

My partner and I have four children together and we needed a vehicle that could safely transport them, especially on long trips. As an auto mechanic, I took my time researching and checking out several different brands. We found our 06 T & C at a Chrysler dealer with 58K miles. My partner loves the power doors and rear hatch, and with multiple DVD players we had installed, it is perfect for our family. The Stow & Go feature works well for food, cases of soda, and loads of DVDs, and there is plenty of room in the rear for two strollers and luggage. We did experience a problem with the left sliding door, but I was able to make the repair in about 45 minutes and it has been working perfectly ever since.

The car currently has 99,000 miles and averages 23mpg. Since purchasing it new, I have had to spend $400 on repairs for the window motor, front suspension, and sway bar bushings. Despite this, I am giving it to my daughter and hoping she can get another 50K miles out of it! The car now needs front brake pads after 45K miles, which are unfortunately dirty and stain the wheel covers. However, I love the styling of the body and believe it helps with mileage. It also handles great in the snow (WI). It's a shame that the company's quality has declined so much, as I wouldn't consider buying a new one today!

The car was purchased when it had 77000 miles and has been well-maintained. In the last 2 years, it has received a new transmission, AC, heat, and brakes. It handles well in snow thanks to its 4*4 feature and has plenty of room for everyone.

If you are in the market for a minivan, we would recommend considering other options besides the 2008 Chrysler Town & Country Touring. While we have had some issues with the vehicle, such as needing to change the brakes multiple times and adding oil frequently, we have also experienced some more significant problems like the back rear top brake light bar not working and the top radiator hose blowing a hole. Additionally, there are some annoying squeaks and rattles in the vehicle during the winter months. We have found that repairs for these issues can be quite costly. We wanted to share our experience with the vehicle to help others make an informed decision. Thank you for considering our feedback.Today, while running errands, the check engine light came on. I had a diagnostic test performed and unfortunately, it revealed two more issues. The first issue is that the ECM has detected that brake switch 2 is applied while brake switch 1 is open. The second issue is that the EGR position sensor rationality is closed, which means that the ECM is detecting EGR flow or movement when it is not expected. The probable cause of these issues could be a failed EGR solenoid, failed EGR position sensor, or failed EGR valve. The estimate for repair is between $200-$400, and we also have two separate recall notices that have not been repaired yet. The dealership is unsure when the parts from the factory will become available, and it could take anywhere from 3-5 years before the repairs take place. Unfortunately, this has been the worst vehicle we have ever owned. It's disheartening because I was a previous owner of a brand new 2001 Chrysler Sebring, which was the best vehicle with very few problems. When we decided to purchase the Chrysler minivan, I was elated and certain we had made a great choice based on my previous experience. However, I was wrong on so many levels. With relief, we have decided to no longer purchase another Chrysler. I'm looking forward to a much better, less stressful experience that will not become a money pit within 2 years.

We purchased the Van from a used car dealer when it had 36,000 miles on it. We were fortunate to have bought an extended warranty which proved to be a wise decision as it paid for itself within the first two years. However, we have had some issues with the air conditioning system which has been repaired or replaced 4 times. The last repair took 2 days and cost over $850. Additionally, we have experienced fast tire wear, frequent brake replacements, electrical system malfunctions, water pump and starter failures, and have gone through 2 batteries. Overall, our experience with this Chrysler vehicle has been challenging.

I purchased a 2007 Town and Country Touring with all the bells and whistles, but unfortunately, these features have caused me a great deal of trouble. The catalytic converter was replaced in 2011, followed by the O2 sensor in 2012. The doors have required repairs, and there have been multiple electrical system failures. Despite taking it to Chrysler, they were unable to reproduce the issue. The brakes have also been a constant issue, requiring frequent replacement. The vehicle failed emissions tests in both 2011 and 2012, and again today. I have learned my lesson and will not be purchasing a Chrysler vehicle again. While I have not found any recalls, I cannot be the only one experiencing these issues.
