Chrysler assembled the first three generations of the model line in its Saint Louis Assembly facility (Fenton, Missouri). The fourth and fifth-generation Town & Country were produced by Chrysler Canada by Windsor Assembly (Windsor, Ontario).

In September 2018, I was driving my 1985 Plymouth Voyager when I spotted a minivan with a “For Sale” sign in the window. I had been longing for this body style for many years. I contacted the owner and purchased it with the miles shown above. I have owned many Chrysler products in the past, but driving this van feels like stepping into the future! I specifically purchased this van because of the 3.8L V6 overhead valve, pushrod engine. It is built like engines in the past, making it simple to maintain. Even with all these miles and being a 3rd owner, the engine burns no oil, the 6 speed transaxle works smoothly and the van overall is silent on the road. I cannot even hear the engine, it is so well insulated. I have only driven it a little over 5,000 miles, but I find it to be a great ‘over the road’ vehicle. To those of you who are still driving your 2008 and newer Town and Country van, you should have many years of dependable service ahead. I expect it from mine!

I'm still feeling the effects of not having my pick-up truck. I bought a replacement that's been quite satisfactory so far. It's similar to my old truck, but with a cap. However, I'm a bit hesitant to get inside when it's dirty. The turning radius is excellent and the drive is smooth. I've had a couple of expected problems with it being a 7-year-old car with 96K miles, but the local dealership has been very helpful and restored it to top running condition. I'm currently preparing for a 4K trip out West with two other couples, and I'll be using a luggage travel box on top rails. I'll decide if it's as good as I think after the trip.

Since you brought your van in October, it has been a great car. We're sorry to hear that you're now noticing a steering squeak when turning the wheel while in reverse. On the bright side, the 3.8L V6 is pretty quick on the highway and has excellent pickup! The van is roomy inside and very comfortable, making it perfect for long trips. In our opinion, it's one of the best vans you can buy used. If you find a great deal on it, we highly recommend that you buy one!

I've owned almost 70 cars over the years, including a 63 Imperial, 65 Mustang, 67 Plymouth Satellite 383, 69 El Dorado, 71 Toronado, 77 El Camino, 77 Coupe De Ville, an Audi, numerous Toyotas and Hondas, Ford pickups, a stunning Silverado, 4Runners, Volvo, and the list could go on. Some of them were really stylish. The Mustang was a 289 loaded poppy red convertible. However, my 2013 Town and Country beats them all. It may not be the most stylish, but it is definitely the most versatile, comfortable, stable, and quiet, with lots of quality. We took two trips from Arizona to the Northwest, about 3000 miles each time. I didn't go past the speed limit and got an overall 30MPG on both trips. In-town mileage isn't great, but most of my driving is on the highway. We bought it new, and now it has close to 95,000 miles. I can't recall any repairs I had to pay for outside of maintenance. There were some minor warranty issues. It doesn't rattle, and the leather interior looks like new. Honestly, this car has held up better than our 2006 4Runner that we bought new (4Runner also a great car - 2nd best!). You can buy these Chryslers dirt cheap. I just pretend I'm driving my old Imperial. The Town and Country has 283 horsepower, the same as a 57 Chevy with Fuel Injection. I love this Town and Country and may soon replace it with a Pacifica. Get past the stereotype soccer mom minivan, and appreciate these vehicles for all they can do. If that doesn't work, just imagine you are driving a luxury vehicle from a couple of decades past, but with the latest innovations, such as satellite radio, navigation, etc. And tell yourself how smart you are for not succumbing to peer pressure and advertising. Long live the minivan!

I really like the Town and Country, but I won't be buying another one until they do away with the sliding side doors. They just don't seem to last very long, even after they've been fixed. Personally, I prefer manually opening the side doors rather than having them slide. I've also spent quite a bit of money fixing the air conditioner.

I inherited this van from my father and I must say, it's the best driving and most comfortable minivan I've ever driven. It feels solid and safe, yet powerful. The only downside is the fuel mileage, which is about 20mpg. The back seats are removable, but they are quite heavy. However, I can still remove them to fit large items. The front seats are extremely comfortable and adjustable, although I do wish they were heated!

The headlight lenses are quite foggy, almost like having flashlights taped to the fenders. I have noticed that many Chrysler products in this area have the same issue. It is surprising that despite four recalls, none of them were for the headlights.
