Chrysler assembled the first three generations of the model line in its Saint Louis Assembly facility (Fenton, Missouri). The fourth and fifth-generation Town & Country were produced by Chrysler Canada by Windsor Assembly (Windsor, Ontario).

- Components: AIR BAGS:FRONTAL:DRIVER SIDE:INFLATOR MODULE
- Summary: Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2008-2010 Chrysler Town and Country and Dodge Grand Caravan and 2007-2011 Dodge Nitro vehicles. These vehicles may have a loose or missing brand emblem in the center of the steering wheel. The loose emblem or the securing nuts for the emblem within the driver air bag module may become projectiles in the event of a driver air bag deployment.
- Consequence: Projectiles as a result of driver air bag deployment in the event of a crash can increase the risk of injury.
- Remedy: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the driver's air bag cover with a redesigned cover, free of charge. The recall began February 11, 2021. Owners may contact FCA US LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is W09.

- Components: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:IGNITION:SWITCH
- Summary: This defect can affect the safe operation of the airbag system. Until this recall is performed, customers should remove all items from their key rings, leaving only the ignition key. The key fob (if applicable), should also be removed from the key ring. Chrysler Group LLC (Chrysler) is recalling certain model year 2009-2010 Dodge Journey vehicles manufactured June 29, 2007, to June 17, 2010, and 2008-2010 Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town and Country vehicles manufactured January 26, 2007, to June 17, 2010. Road conditions or some other jarring event may cause the ignition switch to move out of the run position, turning off the engine.
- Consequence: If the ignition key inadvertently moves into the OFF or ACCESSORY position, the engine will turn off, which will then depower various key safety systems including but not limited to air bags, power steering, and power braking. Loss of functionality of these systems may increase the risk of crash and/or increase the risk of injury in the event of a crash.
- Remedy: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the ignition switch and key FOBs, free of charge. The recall began on May 26, 2015. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is R03. Note: This is an expansion of recall 11V-139.

- Consequence: An overheated switch may result in a vehicle fire.

- Components: SUSPENSION:REAR:AXLE:NON-POWERED AXLE ASSEMBLY
- Summary: Freedom Motors Inc., (Freedom Motors) of Savaria Vehicle Group (formerly The Liberty Motor Company) is recalling one model year 2009 Volkswagen Routan and certain model year 2008-2010 Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country wheelchair accessible vehicles modified by The Liberty Motor Company from February 2008 through January 2011. Over time and with use, the vehicle's rear axle may develop cracks which could lead to axle failure.
- Consequence: Failure of the rear axle may increase the risk of a crash.

I have always admired the T&C whenever I rode in them and knew that whenever the need arose I would get one. This van has been the perfect solution for us, from carting around fishing poles to wheelchair and long trips on the road (with an airbed in back). It even came with a Sirius satellite radio and the remaining warranty from the dealer. Since we don't use the 2/3rd row seats that often and don't have room to store them, this van has been perfect for our situation. We purchased it with 23k miles for 19.9k.

I really love this minivan! Our previous Honda Odyssey had some transmission issues, but the Town & Country feels much better made. Plus, we don't have to worry about being stranded. We also tried the Toyota Sienna, but it just didn't feel right for us. I didn't want to risk my family's safety with all of those Toyota recalls.

I've owned this van for about 7 years since I bought it new in 2010. It's been fantastic for road trips and getting around town! The rear entertainment system works great, and I absolutely love the rear heated seats. While there have been no major issues, the Blind Spot Monitoring did break in the first couple of years of owning the car. One of my favourite features is the Swivel and Go, which allows everyone to face each other and have fun! However, the tire monitor can be a bit picky and often says it needs air even when it doesn't. Overall, it's been a wonderful experience!

Hello! As a GM retiree and GM buyer, I have owned 3 GM mini vans and I must say, I really like them. However, I was disappointed to find out that GM doesn't make mini vans anymore. Nevertheless, I refused to buy a foreign car and ended up purchasing a Town & Country. I was hesitant at first due to the reviews, but it turned out to be the best vehicle I have owned in a long time! The interior is great, with nice soft leather that makes long trips comfortable. I was able to get an average of 25 mpg on the highway, with a high of 27 on 2 separate trips. I traded in my 09 GMC Acadia, which had lousy mileage and was tough to get in and out of. Hi there! I noticed that you've owned both Honda and Toyota vans in the last 4 years. I just wanted to let you know that I think the Chrysler T&C is a great option as well! In fact, I believe that feature for feature, the T&C surpasses both of them, and at a price that is thousands less. While the ride and interior environment may not be sporty, it is definitely very comfortable - which is exactly what you want in a van, right? If the 2010 version of the T&C fixes many of the earlier years' problems, then I'm sure this van will be in your family for a long time to come!

I bought this van at 42,000 miles for its cargo space. It has a comfortable ride, great for hauling 8 people around town, and was a joy to own.. for the first year. Then we had brake issues. Not the normal rotor & pad repair, but had to have the the front end rebuilt. Cost was about $800. On to year three.. same problem with back end , rebuilt the back end as well. Year 4, car is now worth $8000 according to my insurance adjustors. I hit a deer and did about 6K worth of damage. Got the car home from the repair shop, then my headlights started to fail. Then the engine started running rough . There is a electrical control unit ( i think its called the IVM) that has to be replaced; $1300. There also has been fluid leaking into parts of the engine and the spark plugs, so all that area (forgive me I dont remember the exact parts) has to be replaced. Another $1000. Within 3 months and 102000 miles this car has literally self destructed. Repair shop says the current problems are not related to the deer accident as they have had other vans come in with the same issue. So.. this is a KNOWN issue with Chrysler. I owned one Chrysler minivan about 20 years ago and swore I would never purchase another... shame on me. I did not heed my instincts.

The car has experienced several issues, including a failed fuel pump at 103,000 miles, repeated brake pad replacements, engine light related to emissions, increased engine noise at 110,000 miles, harder transmission shifting, occasional stereo malfunctions, and engine misfires. Additionally, the battery cable hot clamp has required replacement three times. Despite these challenges, we remain confident in our ability to address these issues and ensure the car's optimal performance.

The cruise control feature on my van has been inconsistent and unreliable. Despite taking it to the dealer, who claims it is working perfectly according to their computer readout, the transmission does not shift smoothly and the engine revs to 5500 rpm on downgrades. This has caused some scary moments, especially when the van would go to idle driving down the road, which resulted in two tows. Unfortunately, the district managers' advice to not use cruise control on downgrades is not a viable solution. As a long-time Chrysler customer, I am disappointed in the lack of engineering in their new vehicles. Regrettably, their help line has not been of any assistance. It is unfortunate that I will have to say goodbye to Chrysler.

I recently purchased a used T&C with low mileage. Unfortunately, I have experienced some issues with it stalling and the braking system. I reached out to a manager from Chrysler, but unfortunately, they were unable to assist me. While this experience has left me disappointed, I hope that sharing my experience can help others make informed decisions. On a side note, I am also disappointed that GM no longer produces a minivan for families with young children. Lastly, I have been getting 16mpg. Thank you for taking the time to read my experience.

Despite the issues I have experienced with my new vehicle, I remain confident in my decision to purchase a Chrysler. While the 4.0l motor may have a rough idle and the engine light may have come on at 800 miles, I am reassured by the fact that Chrysler is aware of the issue and is actively working on a solution. Although I have had some difficulty communicating with the dealer, I am confident that my car will last as I am someone who keeps their cars for a long time. Overall, I would still recommend considering a Chrysler for your next vehicle purchase.
