I have owned two T&Cs and I absolutely love driving the one I have now, just as I did with the one I had before. However, there are a few issues that I have encountered. Firstly, the power steering filter needs to be cleaned regularly, otherwise it can produce an unpleasant whining sound. Secondly, the electronics can be a bit temperamental, with motherboards, radios and interior lights sometimes needing attention. Lastly, the paint job can be prone to fading, which can make the vehicle look older than it actually is. The rust on the edges is also a bit of a concern, and the tinted windows can produce a ripple effect that is not ideal. The back seats can be a bit cramped for passengers, and if all the seats are in use, there is not much storage space in the back. Despite these issues, I still love driving my T&C. It is very fuel efficient on long journeys, although in the city, I tend to get around 15mpg, which is not as good.

The 3.6L engine may have less power than the 4.0L, but it delivers a smoother performance. However, I still prefer the 4.0L engine. This vehicle is perfect for long trips with kids, thanks to the essential rear DVD. The gas mileage is not too bad, averaging at 19.5. I particularly like the (faux) wood trim and the soft leather accents on the seats. The transmission is smooth and shifts well. I also prefer the styling of this version from the front compared to the newer models. On the downside, all of the power door motors are loud, but they work fine. The navigation system is not user-friendly, with no touch screen and a rotor dial for all input. Additionally, there is no rear button for the tailgate, and there is much less cupholder and usable storage space. However, these issues were resolved in the '08 and up models.

The T&C base model is impressively equipped and offers great value at only 16.8k (including tax and lic) out the door. Compared to similarly priced Honda or Toyota models, the T&C saves you up to 10K. My wife and I are thrilled with the comfort, ride, and overall feel of the vehicle. Plus, the base model comes with many features that are optional on other brands, such as remote entry, tinted glass, smart airbag in the front seat, grocery hooks, hidden pullout drawer, lumbar support, car mats, and sliding door warning. These features alone would have cost me another 1K on other brands. As someone who previously owned 3 Hondas, I can confidently say that my first Chrysler has exceeded my expectations. If you're willing to negotiate, you can definitely come out as a winner!

We purchased the van brand new and have had very few issues with it. It has proven to be a reliable and comfortable vehicle. While I am slightly disappointed with the mileage of 21 hwy, even with the correct air pressure in the tires and a new air filter, I was hoping for better coming from an SUV. At the time of writing this review, the van is 6 years old with 78k miles, and the only problems we have encountered were a window regulator and an EGR valve. Overall, I would definitely recommend this vehicle to a friend. I do wish we had opted for the stow and go seating. I rated it as average for fun to drive, but it is a minivan after all. The value of all new vehicles is a bit of a joke, though.

We are absolutely thrilled with our new Town And Country! We cannot even put into words how overjoyed we are with this van. Our previous 2003 Honda Odyssey was a complete pile of junk, to say the least. It seemed like every time we turned around, it was having another reliability problem. The transmission even started to slip at just 15000 miles, which should have been a warning sign. However, we have had no problems whatsoever with our Chrysler. We have not had to make any trips back to the dealer for anything, which is something we could not say about the Honda. We even test drove the Toyota Sienna, but we did not like its weird styling. We are confident that we made the right choice.

This van has been amazing! With 300,000 miles on it and counting, I'm aiming for 400,000. I've only had to replace the fuel pump and water pump, and that was just in the last 100,000 miles. I'm only on the second battery and, of course, with those miles, a couple of sets of tires. It still drives like the day I got it. I can't say enough about how fantastic and dependable it has been. And for a van, I'm also thrilled with the 22mpg I get.

I hope you're doing well! I wanted to share my experience with Chrysler products. I've owned three so far, and I have to say, they've been pretty reliable. My first was a '94 Grand Caravan, which had a great engine but a poor transmission that required a rebuild at 90k miles. Despite that, with routine maintenance, the car lasted until 180k miles and was still drivable when I donated it to charity. My second was a 2001, which had a transmission cooler and fixed the transmission issues. The 3.3 Liter engine is now quite powerful, especially when moving a nearly 5,000 lb car, but it's not meant to be fast. The engine design is simple, which keeps repair costs down. It's been around for a long time, so it's fairly easy to service. My latest purchase was a 2006 Town and Country, which is the upscale version of the Dodge Grand Caravan. I think it's priced nearly identically to the Dodge Grand Caravan in the used car marketplace, but it's 10k to 15k more expensive in initial purchase for not much more in features. If you're buying it without power sliding doors and without a lot of fancy electronics, there's less that can break. The best feature of this car is the stow-and-go. You can convert it to an errand car for trips to Home Depot very easily. Another thing not often mentioned is that if you have large dogs, like German Shepherds or Mastiffs, this car's ability to put the rear 60/40 bench seat down and put a dog carrier in the back is a great way to carry large pets, especially with a lower step-in height. For me, my Minivan is my go-to car for long trips or for trips to get paint or sheetrock. The cost of not renting a truck is very handy. Overall, I think it's a fantastic practical car. It's not particularly fast, but it's a well-known design and it's been around forever.I had to replace the water pump at 60k miles. If you're a new owner, I would strongly recommend changing the transmission fluid at 60k miles and again at 120k. Make sure to use ATF+4 and have it done by Chrysler, not some cheapo oil change, as this car is very sensitive to having the correct transmission fluid. Staying on top of your fluid changes for the tranny with these cars is important. I've had over 100k miles and mostly had little annoying problems, like door switches and window regulators, but no major breakdowns. Basic upkeep of new tires, brakes, and frequent oil changes is key. I would recommend changing the PCV and EGR valve at the 75,000 mile tuneup, as these parts are not expensive and can keep the car running smoother for longer. Overall, it's one of the lowest cost-of-entry cars in the used car marketplace and cheaper than a Honda or Toyota Sienna while offering all the same value. I personally like this older body style compared to the squared off new version. I also appreciate the fact that they kept the same engine and transmission around for a long time, unlike Kia that went from a well-known 3.8 DOHC engine to a 3.4 Liter with variable valve timing in only 10 years. To me, keeping the same basic engine and transmission around for 3 decades helps keep costs down both during purchase and repair time. Overall, it's not a fancy car, but it's a very practical car. I would definitely recommend it.

I've owned this car for over 10 years and it has been an absolute joy to drive. It has never given me any problems and the ride is incredibly comfortable. People are always impressed by the luxury features it has. It has been the most reliable and cost-effective car I've ever owned, with 150,000 miles on it and still going strong. I've always taken good care of it, getting any small problems fixed right away. I've made sure to change the oil every 3,000 miles and rotate the tires every second oil change. As much as I love this car, I decided to get a new one since I'm 73 years old now. I'm selling it myself and I hope the next owner will take good care of it and enjoy it as much as I have. It gets an average of 22 miles per gallon with its 6-cylinder engine. I've looked at several brands of cars, but I haven't had much luck finding one with the same great mileage, even brand new. I use synthetic oil to keep everything running smoothly. It's a Chrysler Town and Country Touring van and I got all the luxury features when I bought it. It's truly a great car!
