After comparing every minivan on the market, I decided to purchase the Chrysler product due to its numerous advantages. It handles and drives far better than any of its competitors. Although it is faulted for lacking the fold-flat rear seat, the split bench is easy to use and provides greater versatility for only a minimal loss of maximum cargo space. The comfort and ergonomics are second to none and far superior to most. Additionally, Chrysler is the only brand that offers several important features, such as the removable, powered center console.

This van has made me happy to say I am driving a van. It is very comfortable for me and my family of 5. It has lots of room, many exciting features, and most importantly it drives like a dream making me feel safe.

Despite what some folks say, you'll be happy to know that we haven't had any trouble with our T&C. It rides like a dream, the auto temp is fantastic, and visibility is excellent. Comfort and space can't be beat. The only downside to the vehicle is gas mileage (17 mpg overall). We had a Caravan with the same engine that was much better. We're not sure if it's the weight because of the auto doors, but the mileage isn't great.

When I first bought my '02 eX T&C(new) I absolutely loved it. It had a great ride, handling, was quiet, had good looks, very comfortable bucket seats and just the features I had been looking for. Unfortunately, I have been experiencing some problems lately that have been causing me some frustration. The headliner was loose and squeaked horribly upon delivery, the power steering hose leaked, and the transmission cooling line ruptured (which resulted in a tow). Additionally, the clock gains 1.5 minutes per week, 6 minutes per month, and the O2 sensor had to be replaced. The computer control had to be replaced twice, the power sliding doors failed three times, the power lift gate failed twice, and the transmission slips in cold weather. The actual MPG is 17.8 on the highway. And the biggest issue is the front suspension noise at 20k and now at 40k, which requires $600 to replace.

I strongly advise against purchasing a T&C. My first experience with Chrysler has been extremely disappointing. I bought a 2001 T&C for my wife a year ago, and it has been nothing but a nightmare due to numerous electrical problems. I have had to take it to the dealer almost every month to fix various issues, such as the speed sensor, oxygen sensor, headlights not working, and air conditioner failure. Interestingly, three of my neighbors also bought T&Cs around the same time, and all but one are experiencing similar problems. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend purchasing a T&C.

If you're someone who services your vehicle on time every time, you'd expect it to last. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case with this van. The sliding doors broke, armrests fell off, and the power steering hose kept breaking, which almost caused an accident on the interstate. Additionally, the heated seats stopped working, the brakes and rotors wore out quickly, the tires needed constant attention, and the shocks went bad. On top of all that, the gas mileage was poor. Despite taking it back to the dealer multiple times, they only reset things without fixing the underlying issues. Eventually, the transmission needed to be replaced at 109,000 miles.

After comparing it to the Sienna and Odyssey, we confidently chose the Town and Country as the best value in the group. Despite lacking the fit and finish of its foreign competitors, it proved to be the overall best choice. Although we have encountered a few minor problems early on, we remain confident in its long-term reliability. The EX model offers some of the best features of this van all in one easy package, including the godsend power doors for small children. Overall, we are pleased with our decision and confident in our choice.

It's great to have everything you need at your fingertips, but I wouldn't recommend purchasing this van unless you have money to spare. Unfortunately, the MPG is quite horrendous. I've had this van for just over a month and I'm already considering trading it in. I cringe every time I have to drive it. At one point, I was only getting 6 MPG even after a tune-up.
