WHEN THE HITCH IS LOADED TO THE MAXIMUM RATING, THE HITCH MAY FRACTURE OR BREAK AT THE BEND LOCATION WHERE THE MAIN BODY OF THE HITCH MEETS THE HITCH MUFFLER STRAP.

ONLY PRODUCTS THAT WERE MANUFACTURED FROM JULY 27, 2005 THROUGH JANUARY 17, 2006 (DATE CODES 0529 THROUGH 0602) ARE SUBJECT TO THIS RECALL. WHEN SUBJECT TO VERY COLD TEMPERATURES, AN INTERNAL SEAL IN THE MASTER CYLINDER COULD LOSE FLEXIBILITY AND MAY CAUSE BRAKE FLUID TO LEAK.

Almost three years and 30,000 miles after driving off the car lot, I still love my van! The only issue we've had is with the rear lift gate. A wire was pinched once, and the motor went out a couple of months ago. I love all the room we have, and the van drives and rides so well that you forget you're in a van!

Good mileage for a vehicle this size - 20mpg. It feels like you're riding in your living room, but it can be a little difficult to back up. Unfortunately, it has had several electrical problems.

About a week ago, my parents traded in our White 1996 Chrysler Town & Country Base Extended model for a Patriot Blue 2001 LX model. Although we all miss the old one, the new one is just about as nice. We really like the way this one handles and the new improved 3.3 with more horsepower is much better than the old 3.3 powerplant. All instrument controls are in the right place and easy to use. I only have a few complaints. Our 96 base model had a few more extras like the 10 speaker sound system and power drivers seat, which unfortunately the 2001 LX Model does not have. But, overall, this van seems to be of better quality and reliability than the 96.

This car was bought with the intention of being the last car for 7 years. I have taken this car to the dealership every 3 months. Unfortunately, the transmission has had to be replaced 3 times, twice under warranty and once not. I do wish that Chrysler would consider buying this car back from me. This is my second Chrysler and it will be my last.

You may have some concerns about the car's performance. The heated seats for both front seats have stopped working three times, the radio has died once, and there has been a growling sound from the steering wheel when driven over 30 miles twice. Additionally, the right side door will not close when the car is parked on a decline, steep or slight. The engine lights have come on twice, and the dealer has not been able to identify the cause. Although all these issues have been repaired under warranty, the engine light is on again now that the 36K warranty is up, and the dealer has not been able to identify the problem. The van has been in the shop for three days now. However, it's worth noting that you have an extended warranty, which should give you peace of mind. Before purchasing this car, it's important to consider these issues and whether an extended warranty is necessary.

You got 98K on it. So far, other than routine maintenance, it has averaged out to $120 per year for extraneous circumstances. It's a comfy and reliable ride if you pay attention to basic maintenance. The cam position sensor went flaky in 2008, along with a fuel rail leak and a corroded fuel filler neck. However, it's a good Soccer Mom ride. There are no signs of any electricals failing, as some of the other posts reported. The local dealer was pretty good with service, which makes a big difference. It's a lot better product than the 1995 model. Find a good shop where they will advise you of potential issues, and this thing will run forever.

I purchased my 2001 Town and Country LX van in December 2000, but unfortunately, I have not been satisfied with it. While the air conditioner is on, there is a wind noise coming from the windshield. Additionally, the brakes continue to squeal even though the dealers have put new pads and other items on them. The power windows have also been sticking up or down, and despite having 4 window regulators installed in a 4 week time frame, the issue persists.

I recently purchased a van with only 44 miles on it. However, after a month of use, I encountered some issues with the automatic features. The automatic lights and air conditioning did not function as expected, and the fuel efficiency was lower than advertised. Unfortunately, these issues led me to decide to sell the vehicle. I have decided not to purchase another Chrysler product in the future.
