I bought my Mitsubishi Galant in 2013 with 70,000 miles on it. Today, I am proud to say that it has passed the 150,000 mile mark and is still going strong. I have taken it on a cross-country road trip, to Death Valley, and on countless day trips, and it has never let me down. Despite having to replace the battery/starter, AC, radiator, and brakes, I still consider this car to be the perfect vehicle for me. It has weathered two bullet holes in my back panel from a random drive-by in LA, but it has never had any engine or transmission problems, which are the real risks of a used car. I am confident that with regular maintenance, I can easily get it to 200K and maybe even 250K if I am really nice to it. Overall, I am grateful for my Galant and the memories it has helped me create.

I'm so glad I bought this car! I had fallen on hard times and had to sell my Forerunner and 300SD Benz, but this turned out to be the best automobile purchase I have ever made. The car drives like a dream and is exceptionally comfortable. It's also incredibly reliable - all that's required is the usual oil change. Even the A/C is still extremely cold! Although I'm planning on getting a bimmer soon, I'll be keeping this little gem until it can no longer run, out of sheer respect.

I purchased a 1999 Galant in 2002, which may not have been the best decision at first glance. However, I have come to appreciate that it is one of the most stylish and well-designed vehicles in its class. Compared to a similarly equipped Accord or Camry, it is at least $4,000-5,000 less expensive, and while those cars may be more conservative, I find that I can drive my Galant with enough passing power, get awesome gas mileage (thanks to my K&N air filter), and not break the bank. Best of all, every female I know has complimented its appearance. It may be a poor man's BMW, but as a member of the Air Force, I am indeed a poor man. I have no complaints at all!

I purchased my red Galant as a 'prior rental'. There is a big depreciation for Galants, so that is the only way I would buy one, as 'used'. I really like the sleek sides and look of the car. The red is very pretty, especially when it's just been cleaned on a sunny day. The car has a wide wheel base so it feels good on the road. I think the power is fine (I don't think it felt weak like the pro review). The interior, however, is very plain and cheap looking. It has charcoal cloth seats and black vinyl, which holds dust. The arm rests were separating and needed to be repaired by the dealer. However, the engine seems fine. I think this is a great alternative to a Honda/Toyota for those on a budget if you plan to keep it for a long time.

Your Galant sounds like a great car! It may not be the fastest, but it's still pretty quick and has left quite a few people at the line even with a stock engine. The exterior looks nice and the interior, while it could use some improvement, is not terrible. Although there isn't too much interior space, it's not a huge issue. You've even customized it with ralliart parts for more performance! Overall, it sounds like a pretty decent car and I would definitely recommend it as a great car for a first-time driver.

The engine, radiator, crank pulley, exhaust, and tires have all been replaced around 115,000 miles. However, the overdrive is still not functioning properly. Overall, I am confident in the quality of the repairs made, despite the negative experience with the overdrive.

Hi there! I hope you're doing well. I wanted to share my experience with my '03 Galant. I bought it used with around 32,000 miles and it's been great overall. Unfortunately, I recently had some issues with the heater core and the driver's side window motor. When I took it to the dealership, they quoted me over $900 for the repairs, which I wasn't too thrilled about. I've never been a huge fan of the design, but I'm hoping to get it fixed soon.
