MITSUBISHI NO LONGER MANUFACTURERS THE PART, SO HAD TO BE PURCHASED AFTER MARKET. TOTAL COST ALMOST $700.00. LESS THAN 1 YEAR LATER, SAME PROBLEM, CHECK LIGHT ENGINE ON, SAME CODE (P04 - I BELIEVE), ANOTHER $700 AND THIS TIME ANOTHER MECHANIC TOLD ME MITSUBISHI ISSUED A SERVICE ALERT IN 2010, WHICH I AM UNABLE TO FIND. THE SERVICE ALERT SUPPOSEDLY STATED THE ISSUE LIES IN THE PROGRAMMING, THAT NO ONE IS ABLE TO GET DONE. SO FOR THE 3RD TIME IN 6 YEARS I'M LOOKING TO REPLACE THE SAME PART, SAME ISSUE. 2ND ISSUE: REPLACEMENT KEYS HAVE TO PROGRAMMED BY THE DEALERSHIP. NOW OF COARSE AT 22,000 MILES ON MY VEHICLE, MY BREAK LIGHT HAS BEEN COMING ON WITH THE PULSATION BACK AND MY BRAKE PEDAL NOW CONTINUES TO MOVE TOWARD THE FLOOR WHEN AT A COMPLETE STOP. IN THE EVENT THE FUEL TANK IS FULL AND THE VEHICLE IS SUBJECT TO A SEVERE COLLISION, THE BRACKET MAY BREAK AND ALLOW THE FUEL TANK TO DROP DOWN, POSSIBLY CAUSING A FUEL LEAK.
- Consequence: FUEL LEAKAGE IN THE PRESENCE OF AN IGNITION SOURCE COULD RESULT IN A FIRE.
- Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSPECT TO SEE IF THE LEFT REAR FUEL TANK STRAP MOUNTING BRACKET HAS SPLITTING BEYOND A SPECIFIC LIMIT. I recently purchased the brand new 07 Galant ES with the sport package. It runs great so far and is fun to drive. The car has a good amount of power for a 4 cyl. and the dash lights look amazing at night! The 360 watt rockford sound system sounds excellent. Before this car, I had an 03 lancer, but this car is way better than that was. The only issue I have encountered with the Galant is the disc changer. Something is wrong with the number 2 cd slot, but the dealership is putting a new one in for me, so it's all good. I highly recommend this car to anyone looking for a new ride!

This car is an amazing deal! I was able to get the sport package which includes alloy wheels, a Rockford stereo with a changer and steering wheel controls, Sirius, spoiler, upgraded lights, and a security system. The handling is considered the best among mid-sized cars and the seats and legroom are fantastic (even for someone as tall as me at 6'3''). While an extra 20 hp would be nice, I'm still getting an impressive 27 mpg with a mix of city and highway driving. The stereo is simply unbelievable and the manual shift mode is so much fun!

I came across a negative review about the glare of the interior and the blind spots in the rear flanks, and how it is difficult to park. However, I must say that I completely disagree! I am absolutely in love with this car, and I never thought I would ever write a positive review for a car in my life. The Galant has driven me to it (no pun intended)! Although there are blind spots in the back (which is common in most vehicles), I have not experienced any issues with glare. The u-turns are a little wider than say a Toyota Corolla (a car I currently still have), but not at all difficult for parking (unless you don't know how to park). I highly recommend this car!

I bought this car used with only 500 miles on it and have since put 60k miles on it. I still really enjoy driving this car and appreciate all of its features, including the heated leather seats, navigation system, sunroof, and Rockford Fosgate sound system. It has proven to be a reliable car, as I have only needed to take it to Mitsubishi for oil changes. Additionally, it is spacious and comfortable for long trips, and the gas mileage is decent. I absolutely love the horsepower of this car and feel that it was a great purchase at a great price. In fact, I traded in my Volkswagen Passat for this car and am very happy with my decision.

I just wanted to share how much I love my new car! It's so easy to drive and feels really sporty. Plus, it's really stable on the road and great on gas. I think Mitsubishi is a really underrated brand in the USA, even though it's big in Europe. The warranty is excellent and it's a real eye-catcher. It looks like a BMW, drives like an Accord, and is priced like a Chevy!!

I was wondering if the positive consumer reviews for this car were posted by Mitsubishi dealers themselves. However, I must say that I found the car difficult to park due to its width and blind spots. Additionally, some important controls are not illuminated at night, and the front windshield reflects the chrome accents from the dashboard, causing glare. Nevertheless, the car has a spacious rear seating area. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this car, but I appreciate the opportunity to share my thoughts.
