If the car is experiencing electrical and stall issues, it's essential to diagnose the problem and replace the faulty part to fix the issue.
In summary, the Mitsubishi Galant 2001 is known for several common problems, including power window failure, gears slipping, oil leaks, engine management warning light, clogged throttle body, starting problems, and electrical and stall issues. I absolutely love Mitsubishi! Their innovative technology has been present in their vehicles since I owned my first one in 1985, a starion turbo, which I still have and it's still going strong. The 2001 Galant is one of my favorites, as it has been mistaken by friends and strangers as a BMW, which suits me just fine. The fuel economy is excellent and the ride is smooth and comfortable. The storage is abundant and the pass-thru trunk has come in very handy on ski trips. I have owned 5 Mitsubishis as well as various other vehicles since I began driving over 20 years ago, but I always seem to return to Mitsubishi. Their cars are problem-free and provide a care-free driving experience.
-
I'm so glad to hear that your car is still running smoothly after all these years! It's impressive that you've managed to keep it in such great condition, even with all the replacements you've had to make. It's clear that you take good care of your vehicle and that it's served you well. Thanks for sharing your positive experience with us!

I recently traded in my Galant after driving it for 86,000 miles and it still drove great! However, I would caution against buying a new Mitsubishi due to their poor resale values. Overall, I had a great experience with this car and only experienced minor issues such as squeaky brakes that unfortunately the dealer was unable to fix. The car comfortably fits four people and is perfect for long trips due to its quiet and comfortable ride. The V6 200 horsepower engine is a standout feature. Additionally, the exterior design of this model year is the best of all the Galants. Although, I must admit that I am not a fan of the current Galant's appearance.
-
I purchased my Galant in 2001 and it has been a reliable car ever since. I have only had to replace the radiator and the O2 sensor, both of which were minor issues. By keeping up with scheduled maintenance and oil changes, this car will continue to run smoothly for years to come. As part of my regular oil changes, I also add a bottle of fuel injector cleaner to the gas tank. The paint on my car still looks great, and I make sure to wax it every three months. I am a big fan of Mitsubishi and would love to purchase another new car from them, but I will wait until the recession eases up a bit. Thank you for considering Mitsubishi as your next car purchase!
-
This car has been amazing! It has exceeded all my expectations and more. I truly believe that I couldn't have found a better car for the price I paid ($20,000). It's incredibly fast, has excellent handling, and the brakes are unbelievably strong. I always brake slowly, as I know that cars behind me may not be able to brake as quickly. With only 9,900 miles on it, I've only had a couple of minor issues, such as a bad key fob and an airbag that needed replacement. However, both were quickly and efficiently replaced under warranty, and didn't affect the car's reliability. This is actually my third Mitsubishi product, and I highly recommend their products to anyone looking for a reliable and high-quality car.

I have to admit, I fell for the Mitsubishi 0%/0 down/0 payments campaign. In hindsight, I should have waited to get a Honda Accord. The car looks great and has good acceleration when you step on the gas. However, I did have to replace the tires at 35K miles and repair the brake rotors at 50K miles, and now again at 54K. While the materials used are not of the highest quality, the fit and finish are adequate. It's not quite up to Honda's standards, but we all live and learn. Unfortunately, it does depreciate faster than an Olympic sprinter.

I purchased a new 2001 Galant in 2000 and it runs great. However, I have noticed that some of the components are not as durable as I would like. For example, the map light falls from the roof, the side mirror adjusters fall off, the entire glove box lock fell out when I tried to lock it, and the vent on the passenger side fell into my dash. Additionally, the side doors are prone to dings if someone next to you hits your door in a parking lot. Despite these issues, I am confident in the overall performance of the vehicle.

Hi there! I noticed that you mentioned owning your GTZ for a year and a half. It sounds like you've had a few issues with the car, including needing a new side airbag, rear speed sensors, battery, and weather stripping. It's a shame to hear that the 'Infinity' radio is no longer working properly and that you had to replace the brake pads yourself. Despite these challenges, I'm glad to hear that you still enjoy driving the car. It definitely sounds like it can be a bit difficult to own, but I hope that overall you're still happy with your purchase!

Hi there! I hope you're doing well. I just wanted to share my experience with this car. I've driven it for about 28,000 miles since it was new, and I have to say, it's been great! Despite being a 4 Cylinder car, it has excellent pick-up and can easily maintain highway speeds. Personally, I think it looks even better than the Camry or Accord, but unfortunately, public perception doesn't seem to value Mitsubishis as highly. However, if you're planning on keeping the car for the long term, I would definitely recommend getting one. If you tend to trade in your cars every 2-3 years, you might not get as much trade-in value, but you'll still get to enjoy driving a great car! Let me know if you have any questions.

It sounds like you're looking for a reliable and practical car for everyday use. This car is perfect for individuals or small families, with a spacious trunk that can fit a lot of luggage. While the 4-cylinder engine can be a bit noisy and hot, it still delivers smooth power that's more than enough to get you around. The only thing that could be improved is the driver's seat, which could use a bit more support.
