- Summary: The contact owns a 2002 Mitsubishi Galant. The contact stated that while his son was being chased by another motorist at 40 MPH, he lost control of the vehicle as he attempted to brake. The vehicle veered off the road and initially hit a garbage can that ricocheted and broke another vehicle's taillight. The vehicle continued to move forward before it hit both an electrical box and a tree which stopped the vehicle's momentum. The air bags did not deploy upon impact. His son was treated at the scene for the soreness to his chest and back and for other minor cuts and bruises. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it remained in their possession. The dealer nor the manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. THESE HEADLAMPS FAIL TO CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 108, "LAMPS, REFLECTIVE DEVICES, AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT." I wanted to share my positive experience with my 2002 Mitsubishi Galant ES. I purchased it new from Rice Mitsubishi and it has been a reliable car for me with 260,000 miles on it. It still runs great and looks good too. I have only had to replace one headlight, which is a minor issue. I believe this car is just as dependable as any Honda or Toyota, as long as you follow the routine maintenance schedule for Mitsubishis, such as changing the timing belt every 60,000 miles (which costs around $600). Overall, I have had no major issues with my Galant and it still has impressive acceleration and handling, even at 260k miles.

We rented this vehicle and took a 2000 mile drive vacation. It was an outstanding experience. I am currently looking to purchase my own.

Hi there! I hope you're doing well. I just wanted to share my experience with this vehicle. We actually bought it used during a really snowy time and I have to say, it was a lifesaver! I've never driven a car that handled so well in the snow. One thing I really appreciated was that it had just the right amount of features - not too many, not too few. I've noticed that a lot of cars these days are loaded with features that you never end up using, but still have to pay for. Luckily, that wasn't the case with this one. Plus, since we bought it used, we didn't have to worry about losing too much value off the lot. Thanks for listening!

You have a very solid car! It's great to hear that you've had it for 3 years now and it's been running well with only minor issues with the brakes. You made an excellent choice with this car! It starts up every time (after changing the battery cables), runs great, and keeps up on the highway without any issues. Plus, all accessories work perfectly. I was really impressed with the materials and workmanship of the interior, especially compared to other models in its price range. Overall, I'm nothing but satisfied with this car and I always feel joy every time I start up the engine.

I had trouble finding a carseat that would fit my sportscar after having my son. I thought Mitsubishi was offering a great deal, but unfortunately, I'm not too impressed with the car's appearance or performance. Now that I want to trade it in, I've found that its value has decreased significantly. I'm feeling frustrated with my decision to buy this car, whether new or used.

The engine is certainly reliable, but it does consume quite a bit of fuel for a 4-cylinder. Additionally, there is noticeable road noise and the ride is not as smooth as some may prefer. However, my 94 Accord still manages to give me an impressive 30 miles/gal and provides a more solid ride overall. If you're considering purchasing this car, it may be worth looking into buying used as the value tends to depreciate quite quickly when bought brand new. Alternatively, if you do decide to buy new, it may be worth keeping the car for at least a year to get the most out of your investment.
