Common 1995 Chrysler Concorde problems
The Chrysler Concorde, produced between 1993 and 2004, is known for several common problems, particularly in the 1995 model year. These issues are primarily related to electrical systems, corrosion, and suspension components.
Electrical Issues:
- The 1995 Chrysler Concorde has been reported to have various electrical problems, including intermittent blinking of interior and dash lights, stereo switching between CD player and radio, and the air conditioner coming on even when the compressor is broken.
Corrosion of AC Evaporator Core:
- Corrosion of the AC evaporator core is another common problem in the Chrysler Concorde, with 11 owners reporting this issue.
Suspension Issues:
- The 1995 Chrysler Concorde's suspension system, particularly the transverse torsion bars, has been reported to have an annoying tendency to lose alignment when hitting curbs, which can negatively impact handling and ride quality.
While these issues can be frustrating for owners, it is important to note that many of these problems can be addressed through proper maintenance, timely repairs, and recalls when applicable. It is also essential to address these issues promptly to prevent further damage and potential safety hazards.

Problems with suspension began at 35000 miles and continued. Also, Chrysler disc brakes pitted requiring pre-mature replacement. Chrysler tie-rods are of poor quality. Engine/transmission trouble free at 135,000 miles and body is perfect.

Good car, especially for long trips. The engine still purrs like new even after 100K miles. The only issue I had was with the ignition system malfunctioning and not turning the fuel pump on. I also had to replace the stabilizer bars and all four shocks at 95K miles. Additionally, the air conditioning belt blew at 100K miles.

The original dealer provided excellent service throughout the warranty period. However, since moving to a new area, I have not been satisfied with the service provided by the local dealer. I strongly believe that the new dealer mishandled my vehicle's transmission.

Excellent car with all the creature comforts. I have the LXi (3.5l, leather, etc...). It's a joy to drive with a smooth ride and easy handling, and there's loads of room. Although it can be a little noisy in the cabin, it's not too bad.

I bought this car used with under 18,000 miles and I have never regretted it. The sporty design, power, and handling caught my attention and it still holds up today. Out of all the cars I have driven, it is by far the most comfortable. I just can't seem to part with it. The car has a timeless appeal and durability that is hard to find. I have kept up with repairs and the paint still looks new. The only major expense has been maintaining the A/C, which has had a few costly leaks. Additionally, the A/C struggles to keep up with the black dash and dark leather interior in the 95 degree Charlotte NC heat. Despite this, at 170,000 miles, it still runs great!

I purchased a '95 model back in 2000 for $14,500.00 from a mature lady with only 50k kms on it. It served me well for 3-5 years, but unfortunately, I started experiencing some issues. The steering column was off, and despite having the steering alignment done several times, it was never corrected. The weather stripping for the doors was also coming apart, and the computer needed replacement, but unfortunately, Chrysler didn't want to provide me with one. Additionally, it wouldn't start in winter, and when going for a couple of hours drive with three passengers and some luggage, the engine would overheat, which was ridiculous for a V6 166 horsepower engine. The exterior decals/styling parts would start to fall off, and it was prone to rusting, even though I washed it every week. That's just about it for mechanical problems. It's crazy now that I think about it that a V6 mid-size car has the same fuel consumption as a V8 full-size Lincoln TownCar that I recently bought, and the Lincoln is a '07 model! In-line 6 and V8 engines last longer than V6 engines anyway. The interior material is not up to the mark for the price I paid for it. I never stalled with a Chrysler Concorde, but not starting in winter was a big inconvenience for me. There was a big lag of acceleration even while on the highway as well as from a start. However, I liked how the front end was longer than most at the time, good for crush space. It had a moderate-sized trunk. It didn't have any struts when I bought it, but I put one in a year or two prior to selling. Every car should have struts for the front hood. They're cheap at an Auto Wrecker. I'll never buy a Chrysler or anything GM related again. It was a bad experience.

I purchased the car from a dealer named Herbee Dodge, who claimed to be reputable. Despite the car being under warranty, I have had issues with the brakes three times. When I reported the issue, they dismissed it by suggesting that I did not know how to operate the ABS. However, my research has shown that this car is known for having many brake problems. Despite this, the dealer denies any knowledge of the issue. I am confident that the brake problems are a known issue with this car and that the dealer should take responsibility for addressing the issue under the warranty.

Hi there! I noticed that your car has had a few issues in the past, including transmission problems at 97,000 miles and a rebuilt transmission at 98,000 miles. The water pump was also replaced at 95,000 miles. Currently, the gas mileage is about 17 mpg and it's recommended to use mid-grade 89 octane fuel. Lastly, the rear bumper paint is fading and exposing the prime. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns!
