I tried a Buick,, and Chevy and they both worked great I could see at night in a dim Garage .All ALL they say is "it is working as designed". This answer does not fix a safety issue that is required to work in ALL cars. It is very hard to see what is behind me. The dealer has seen it and admits there is a design issue. However they can only tell Cadillac that "it is working as designed

- Summary: I have a Cadillac 2023 XT6 When I put the car in reverse in the daytime the Back up camera display works fine. If it is at night,Raining, or during any hours of the day like in a garage the display dims .It is hard to see a person behind you or any poles. When shifting into Reverse, it is bright then it goes dim. I brought it in to the dealer and they gave me a Chevy loaner and that works great and my last car worked great. The dealer checked everything, Ans I was told "it is working to spec" although they see an issue that they can't fix.

- Summary: My wife was backing at less than 2 and hit a truck behind her. She said no alarms sounded, the only thing she heard was noise of hitting a truck behind her. No police called or report made. When car was repaired the repair shop (Fields Collision, Jacksonville FL) they took my 2023 Cadillac to Fields Cadillac for final check out. Fields Cadillac said there were no sensors in rear bumper to alert driver. Fields Cadillac said there is only plugs in rear bumper. I contacted the dealership (DIMMITT Cadillac in Clearwater) where I purchased the vehicle and they say the car was checked out and all sensors were working but on my way home I noticed the blind side warning did not work so I took the car to Fields Cadillac for this to be fixed, so I know the car was not tested. I would like someone from GM look at the warning system and tell me it is safe.

I can tell you my initial perception of the car since I've only had it for a bit over a week. I really like it, which is obvious since I bought it. The ride is fine and the performance is okay for a large SUV that I plan to use for travel. The seats could be a bit more encompassing for a more secure feeling, and the acceleration could be smoother. However, the car is very quiet and comfortable for highway driving and moderate curvy road use in the Sport mode. I expect to have it for a relatively long time, just like my '03 Bonneville SSEI, which I still enjoy. Hopefully, I'll be able to say the same for the XT6 some years down the road.

Perfect size, not too big, not too small, roomy but not overwhelming. The handling is very responsive and the engine transmission coordination is smooth. The front end styling is beautiful and the side and rear looks are crisp. We are really enjoying driving it and the more we drive it, the more we like it. We are also pleased to report that we are getting over 27mpg on the road. It is a very comfortable car that still offers nice handling and performance.
