The Land Rover Range Rover Velar, generally known as the Range Rover Velar, (/ˈvɛlər/) is a crossover SUV produced by British automotive company Jaguar Land Rover under their Land Rover marque. The fourth model in the Range Rover line, the Velar was unveiled on 1 March 2017 in London, England. The Velar was released in the summer of 2017. The name Velar had previously been used for a series of pre-production first-generation Range Rovers in 1969.

Summary: Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2024 Defender, Discovery Sport, Range Rover, Range Rover Evoque, Range Rover Velar, and Range Rover Sport vehicles. The Near Field Sensing Module (NFSM) may overheat and cause the 3D surround camera images, including the rearview camera image, not to display.
Consequence: A rearview camera image that does not display can decrease the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of injury or crash.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the NFSM, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 25, 2024. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is N927.

The DAB radio signal is awful, the Bluetooth connection is poor, and the touch screen is often delayed or freezes. Additionally, I have had to take the car in for repairs four times for various engine and mechanical problems, despite having driven less than 30k miles. While the customer service has been weak compared to other dealerships, I remain confident in my decision to trade it in for a more reliable luxury car such as an Audi, BMW, or Mercedes.

Hi there! We've had our 2019 Velar for a year and a half now and it's clocked up about 15,000 miles. Unfortunately, we've had a few issues with it and it's been in the shop seven or eight times. We've had to replace the water pump at 2,000 miles and more recently, the hub and bearing in the front. We've also had some problems with updates. While we always thought Range Rovers were beautiful, we've learned that they can be quite challenging to own.
