For the eighth-generation Accord released for the North American market in 2007, Honda had again chosen to move the model further upscale and increase its size. This pushed the Accord sedan from the upper limit of what the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) defines as a mid-size car to just above the lower limit of a full-size car, with the coupe still rated as a mid-size car. In 2012, the ninth-generation Accord sedan, with smaller exterior dimensions, was once again classified as a mid-size car at 119 cubic feet (3.4 m3), falling just shy of the "Large Car" classification. However, the tenth-generation Accord sedan, with similar exterior dimensions, returned to full-size car status with its combined interior space of 123 cubic feet (3.5 m3); the coupe was discontinued in 2017.
In 1982, the Accord became the first car from a Japanese manufacturer to be produced in the United States when production commenced in Marysville, Ohio at Honda's Marysville Auto Plant. The Accord has achieved considerable success, especially in the United States, where it was the best-selling Japanese car for sixteen years (1982–97), topping its class in sales in 1991 and 2001, with around ten million vehicles sold. Numerous road tests, past and present, rate the Accord as one of the world's most reliable vehicles. The Accord has been on the Car and Driver 10Best list a record 38 times.

- Summary: I've had head gasket failure twice and now turbo failure. I have documentation from John Eagle Honda to support as well as several others who are willing to do a Class Action Lawsuit in regards to the 10th generation Honda Accord 1.5 T and some of the other trims. I have a list of other owners like myself who have paid out of pocket constantly to get our vehicles fixed. My last straw for reaching out is when it stalled on me while on the interstate for the second time and almost getting in a horrible accident. Something has to be done, because at this point Honda has been called several times and acts if no one is reporting it when indeed they are. I have tons of documentation and proof to support my safety issue. I first paid for the head gasket in 2023, then again in 2024, now I'm being told the Turbo needs to be replaced of which it is in the shop currently and I was quoted 1700$. Something has to be done because of this issue I have spend a lot of money and none of my safety features worked during this time, the head gasket issue shuts down everything and can cause serious injury.

- Summary: I took my car to be repaired because it was stalling and misfiring while accelerating, and 11 indicator lights were one (check engine, vehicle stability system warning, brake system warning, adaptive cruise control system). Also, my car smelled like radiator fluid was leaking from somewhere. The local Honda dealer’s service department could not get me an diagnostic appointment for more than 30 day, so I took it to a nearby mechanic shop that I had used before. First, they thought it needed a tune up, so that was done, the indicator lights were reset, and I was in my way. After returning 2 days later (because they weren’t open on Sunday), the mechanic notified me that my fuel injector needed to be replaced. The mechanic contacted the local Honda dealer for parts, and the parts/service member told him that part number for my specific make and model was updated, and he gave the mechanic an updated part number. Also, the parts dealers said that the part was on back order nationally. This was in February of 2024. In August of this year, I was able to get an diagnostic appointment at a dealer in another city, and they provided an update. They reported that there was an issue with the fuel system that needed further diagnosis, and that it would cost me an additional near $400 to do and that they might have to keep my car overnight to complete the diagnostic. Since the start of this issue, I still sometimes experience misfiring and jerking when I try to accelerate.

- Summary: The issue I have been having since i bought the car has been a wobble/vibration from the front end. took the vehicle in to planet honda rt22 in union nj, where they told me my factory rims where bent which was false. i ended up selling my factory rims and buying a pair that i liked same size as factory. i put new wheels and tires on same problem. i then went back to the dealer ship for a second time told me they heard the bearings and proceeded to replace them as i approved the work. received vehicle drover for a couple days same issue went back for a third time and the technician stated my rims are bent again. i then became very upset as to if the tech knew how to diagnose a vehicle correctly. took car back drove it for almost a year with the vibration and wobble got car aligned several ties since the car started drifting and pulling both ways. went and took vehicle in to my personal mechanic where he showed me the front wheel bearings and intermediate shaft and bearing are bad. went back to honda on [XXX] with repeat concern with the same issue. took the dealership 5 hours to assign my vehicle to a tech that has no clue on how to inspect a vehicle bad for business. so dealership got back to me and stated that since vehicle was lowered they where not going to replace or fix the issues that are present i bought the vehicle used certified from them at 23k miles and have been having this issue since vehicle was purchased. i drive my wife and my 3 year old daughter in this car and with a car that has no control or stability and puts my family at risk just because they dont want to do a warranty job. i do have proof of bearings being replaced so they say also have proof of head gasket failure injector failure high pressure pump failure in tank pump failure. just have no way to upload. They indicated I should disable the ABS when using the vehicle. The actual ABS system was not inspected by the dealership or any other individual. There were no warnings prior to the occurrence although the dashboard displayed the standard BRAKING warning when the ABS engages. This occurred just once at which point I have subsequently disabled the ABS whenever driving.

I visited website that letter provided to check the eligibility, it does say, my car is under recall. I chatted with Honda about this and they were still saying mine is not under recall. I called to nhtsa hotline, the woman I spoke to, said yes. my car is under recall and told me to call the federal agency about this. This honda dealer was keep refusing the recall service, I have all the evidence of chat messages that they were lying. this need to be addressed because it is definetely related to someone's safety and they were ignoring of what they supposed to do.

A manufacturing issue with the front seat belts may cause the seat belt buckle channel to interfere with the release button, preventing the seat belt buckle from latching.
- Consequence: An unlatched seat belt cannot properly restrain the seat occupant during a crash, increasing their risk of injury.
- Remedy: Dealers will replace the driver and front passenger seat belt buckle release buttons or the buckle assemblies as necessary, free of charge. - Summary: Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2019-2020 Acura MDX, MDX Sport Hybrid, RDX, TLX, Honda Accord, Civic Hatchback, Insight, 2019 Acura ILX, Honda Accord Hybrid, Civic Coupe, Civic Coupe Si, Civic Sedan, Civic Sedan Si, Civic Type R, Fit, HR-V, Odyssey, Passport, Pilot and Ridgeline, and 2018-2019 CR-V vehicles. The low-pressure fuel pump inside the fuel tank may fail.
- Consequence: Fuel pump failure can cause an engine stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy: Honda will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuel pump assembly, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed May 18, 2021. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Note: This recall is an expansion of recall 20V-314.

- Summary: Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2018-2020 Accord Sedan, Accord Hybrid, and 2019-2020 Insight vehicles. A software error may cause intermittent or continuous disruptions in communication between the Body Control Module (BCM) and other components. This may result in malfunctions of various systems such as the windshield wipers and defroster, rearview camera, exterior lights, audible warning of a stopped vehicle, and power window operation. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 103, "Windshield Defrosting and Defogging Systems" and number 111, "Rear Visibility" as well as FMVSS numbers 104, 108, 114, 118, and 305.
- Consequence: Various system malfunctions such as inoperative windshield wipers, defroster, rearview camera, or exterior lighting can increase the risk of a crash.
- Remedy: Honda will notify owners, and dealers will update the BCM software, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin February 22, 2021. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's number for this recall is X95.

Overall, I love the car! It has many high-tech features and is effortless to drive. Although I am somewhat disappointed in the mileage so far with 10k miles, getting 42 to 44 mph with the touring hybrid. However, I must say that the quality, of course, is great. My 2017 model easily achieved 45 mpg.

I am very pleased with the car overall, but there are a few things that caught my attention. Firstly, there is no spare tire included, which is a bit disappointing. Secondly, there is no light in the glove box, which I find surprising for a car in this price range. Additionally, I would have appreciated rear seat USB ports. Lastly, I find the lane keep assist to be more of a nuisance than a help, and I will likely turn it off. Despite these minor issues, the car is packed with value and thoughtful touches, making it a joy to drive. I would highly recommend it to anyone. It would have been great if there was a comparable plugin option, but unfortunately, the Clarity falls short in comparison.

The technology inside of the car may take some getting used to, such as the buttons to park, drive, and so on. However, it's a really nice vehicle with a great amount of space and comfort. You'll feel safe and secure in this car and I would definitely recommend it to you.

The car has a great range of safety features, including a ventilation system for the battery in the back seat that creates a pleasant white noise effect. I particularly enjoy the Heads Up Display (HUD) which helps me keep my focus on the road. I am excited to continue driving this vehicle for the next 5 to 8 years. I have been getting an impressive 43 to 46 miles per gallon, mostly on highways, and up to 45 to 49 in the city. I just need to remember to be gentle with the gas pedal to take full advantage of the electric motor.

Hey there! I hope you're doing well. I wanted to touch base with you about your car and trim level. While I think they're great, I did pay a premium for the hybrid based on EPA ratings. However, I've noticed that the true mpg is 38.4 through 8500 miles. I mostly drive on the highway going 70-75 mph, which isn't exactly speed racer territory. I always drive in eco mode and don't rev it out. Before this car, I had a Passat tdi and I have to say, this feels like a similar scam. What do you think?

I've been driving my 2019 Honda Accord Hybrid for about 5 months now and while there are some areas that could be improved, overall I'm enjoying the experience. One area that could use some work is the Bluetooth connectivity, which can be a bit finicky at times. Additionally, I've noticed that the gas mileage isn't quite as high as the advertised 47 mpg, with mixed driving in econ mode resulting in 35 to 39 mpg. Finally, the resolution on the back up camera could be better, even after cleaning it. Despite these issues, the car seems to be built well and I'm generally satisfied with my purchase. There is definitely room for improvement, but overall it's a solid car.

It seems that the gas mileage claimed by Honda for the Hybrid may be difficult to achieve unless you drive in a very specific way. In city driving, where speeds are below 60 mph, the car does a good job thanks to the battery, which automatically switches to electric power at stops and traffic lights, saving a lot of fuel. However, if your commute involves any highway driving with a speed limit above 55, you may not achieve the advertised 48 miles per gallon. On long distance interstate trips, the mileage drops even further, to a maximum of 35 miles per gallon. In fact, during a recent trip through a snow storm in Chicago, the mileage dropped to 28 miles per gallon. While the car may be helpful in certain situations, it may not be the best fit for those who require more power, such as when cruising at highway speeds. It's important to consider your specific needs when choosing a vehicle.

I've been driving my car for about 12,000 miles and 6 months now, but unfortunately, I've never been able to reach the advertised mpg of 48. The closest I've gotten was 42. I've noticed that driving at interstate speeds causes extreme road noise and seems to have taken a toll on my car. After my first time doing so, my door seal started to come loose, and the service department tried to blame me for it without fixing it. I was a bit surprised to find out that a wheel alignment for a front-wheel-drive sedan costs $99, while it's only $70 for an SUV from a luxury brand. However, the car's performance is pretty great for moving through city traffic and getting around slow or inattentive drivers. The ACC works pretty well in stop-and-go traffic and has saved me a couple of times. Additionally, the lane assist is probably the best I've ever experienced in any vehicle I've driven! The only issue I've encountered is that sometimes my CarPlay acts up, or the system does a complete restart when I plug in my phone.
