- Summary: While driving in light traffic, speed at 45 mph, my Tucson alerted me with a beep, steering wheel vibrated and a red alert on the dash was present for about 3 seconds then the speed automatically slows down to 15 mph all on its own while my foot is still on the accelerator. This has occurred at a minimum 6 times. I purchased this vehicle brand new and driving it off the lot it had 22 miles on it. I've taken it to a Hyundai dealership, and they can't figure out what it wrong with it. I feel very unsafe and unhappy now of this major safety concern. This has high probability of getting rear ended. I see that this has been occurring with various years of Hyundai and am wondering why there has not been a recall on this issue. I owned a Hyundai prior to this 2024 (Tucson 2011) and it was wonderful. This is highly concerning for me, and I am not confidant driving this vehicle and will more than likely trade it in for another vehicle. Can someone please research this issue with the automatic emergency brake system. This can autonomously go off whether you are in traffic, highway, street or completely zero vehicles or pedestrians around.

- Summary: Forward radar sensor pass side lower grill/bumper area. 1st told a sensor recall but after 3 hrs and then seeing the vehicle in the shop with the entire front bumper clip removed the sensor was out of its driver side socket and 1 side flopping around which may have caused a small dimple from the inside to pop out on the 6x5 cover that is the entire lower rubber/plastic black bumper/grill. Told the vehicle was hit, YET no visible damage to bumpers or painted surface can be found by their 2 dealerships and their 1 body shop, + 2 mangers, and 1 independent collision shop.1 manager drove the vehicle 10/11 and stated after "is operating as it should". Warnings have come on again since then refueling at additional 77 mile and then at 92 miles 10/14. Hartford ins has been notified and pending I hope an inspection. Vehicle purchased 1st March 2024, 1st warning at 5336mies currently at 5421 miles. They triggered the service engine light and stated via onboard computer it was an issue with a lower front driver side radiator something that may have been bumped while taking off the front clip, which they chipped and area and left a bit of gap at the fender connection. Other than the small dimple on the plastic from what I believe the sensor had been bouncing against, there is no damage. A safelight windshield company stated there is a notice/recall on the "auto headlight sensor on dash" but they do not cal them, only the optic sensor top center of windshield. BUT per the manual that top sensor plus lower radar can control the forward crash, cruise setup and auto braking. Need some help since my firm works with all auto/tire mfg and conducts DOT tire testing for USA and worldwide independent firms/gov's.

- Summary: Hesitation upon accelerating from a stopped position. When pulling out from a stop into a busy intersection the vehicle hesitates for several seconds. I have almost been broadsided when attempting to pull out onto a busier roadway. The vehicle feels as though it is stalled, then suddenly lunges. Apparently this is a known feature of the Hyundai hybrid after reading that it is the top complaint. There are no codes or warning lights that appear. I feel this is a safety issue. A car should move when you put your foot on the accelerator and not just sit there for several seconds. Please, please have Hyundai resolve this issue. I have had my car to the dealer 3 times for this issue without resolution.

I took the car into the dealer and was told that they would run a diagnostic, which they did. They also drove the car for 3 miles. They were not able to replicate the problem, and found all codes to be normal. I feel like this car is an accident waiting to happen.

- Summary: I brought my vehicle in to Allstar hyundai in Baton Rouge about a month after purchasing it. I told the service manager my brakes are squealing through out the day. He drove it nothing. He stated it is because of moisture. Not true. Squealing brakes means the brakes will go out. They refused to change them out. It has continued to happen multiple times each and everyday. I would love to have this reported. I have owned previous hyundai vehicle and others never ever had this problem,. I am going back for an oil change and will once again state 1) I am not stupid2) this should not be happening3) I have spoken to other mechanics and they all stated it is a BRAKE MALFUNCTION. what is my next step if they refuse? The acceleration was so sudden and intense that I had to swerve to avoid a head on collision with a car parked in front of me. Just as suddenly as it happened, it then stopped and I was able to regain control of the car. - Summary: Defective operation of switch that controls shade panel on panoramic roof. A quick single rearward press should open the shade panel on the panoramic roof. Sometimes is does. More often than not a quick single press operates as a long-duration press and opens the shade panel *and* opens the panoramic roof. This was reported to the Hyundai mechanic at my initial warranty service and ignored. This issue was again reported to the Hyundai Service Manager at my second warranty visit and he successfully reproduced the issue during his own testing. Having the panoramic roof open unexpectedly may be a driving hazard, requiring the driver to respond to the unexpected circumstance, take their eyes off the road to reengage the control switch to be able to close the panoramic roof (what if it is inadvertently opened during a thunder shower, dust storm, or hail storm?)

I can be at a red light and try to accelerate and I would have to push the gas all the way down to even get it going. This is an inter written problem, but very concerning when I am trying to cross traffic as I am never sure what my acceleration is going to be.

- Summary: On a recent road trip to Utah on 2 occasions the cars automatic breaking system assumed a vehicle in the left lane and ahead of me by a few car lengths, had crossed its lane causing my car to brake abruptly at highway speed. The first time this occurred I was so surprised I don't remember what the other car was doing. However, the 2nd time I do remember the circumstances. I was driving east out of Amarillo and noticed a double semi trailer weaving a bit in the right lane. I was one lane to the left. There was a strong South wind and it appeared the truck was having trouble staying in his lane. My lane was clear of traffic for at least 1/2 mile. The highway was was straight. The truck was 100 yards or so in front of me when my car suddenly braked very hard I'm guessing reducing my speed by 20 or more mph. I'm glad there was no one on my tail! There was no danger at anytime and there was no need for such hard braking. A week later, a third incident of the same typed occurred. I was driving on [XXX] heading north in moderate traffic at highway speed and the car again broke heavily when there was no danger. Again, a black BMW was to the right of me- this time only 3-4 car lengths ahead. I was watching the that car as I would be overtaking it soon, when it moved close to the dashed lane marking but I don't believe it crossed it, causing my car to brake hard again! Again, I was lucky there was no one behind me, but this could have caused an accident! Again, there was no danger-- at least until the car hit the brakes too hard. The car collected a lot of bugs on the road trip and I had not washed the car prior to the 3rd incident. The car has been washed and something similar has not occurred again- but I have not needed to drive it on a highway since. Part 2 of this problem is the car's spyware called bluelink collects data on driving habits and reports / sells that info to others. - Summary: My Tucson is applying Automatic Emergency Break without a reason. It happened to me 3 times in a week with my Tucson Hybrid 2024 NLine, it was scary and I was on freeway at 70+MPH and couldn't capture the warning as it popped out for only 3 sec. I see no cars around when this happened and when I checked few forums I see this as a common problem in Hyundai vehicles in recent times and feeling scared. I was lucky enough last week as there is not vehicle behind me when breaks applied automatically.

As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."
- Consequence: A label that incorrectly states spare tire pressure when there is no spare tire on-board may cause confusion during an emergency tire replacement, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.

- Summary: Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Palisade Tucson, 2023 Sonata, Elantra, and Kona vehicles. The electronic controller for the Idle Stop & Go oil pump assembly may contain damaged electrical components that can cause the pump controller to overheat.
- Consequence: An electric oil pump assembly that overheats increases the risk of a vehicle fire.
- Remedy: Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures until the recall repair is complete. Dealers will inspect and replace the electric oil pump controller, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed starting September 7, 2023. Owners may contact Hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460. Hyundai's number for this recall is 246.

The styling on the Tucson SEL has a sporty look, which is really cool. There are quite a few nice amenities that I enjoy, including comfortable heated seats for winter driving in New York. It’s really fun to drive and is very roomy inside. I really like having the many safety features that Hyundai offers. My car has plenty of get up and go too, if I need it.

The car has a spacious cabin compared to other cars in its class. However, as someone who is 6'3'' tall and weighs 300 lbs, I wish there was a bit more room!

I've owned two gas powered Tucson but this Hybrid is amazing! Extremely quiet and smooth driving, not to mention the beautiful styling. I would highly recommend!

Hi there! I recently purchased a 2024 Hyundai Tucson and I noticed that the inside area of the rear hatch jam and under the hood do not have clear coat. It looks like the paint job is incomplete and it's a bit rough. I always wipe my jams off after washing and I'm not sure what to do with this. I'm planning to go back to the dealer today to see if they missed it. Overall, I really like the car, but this issue is a bit disappointing. Thank you for your help!

My first experience owning a hybrid was definitely interesting. While I found it fun to drive, I was surprised by how often I was unable to drive in EV mode. The highway mileage, which was mostly gas engine, was equivalent to my 2013 gas Honda CRV. Unfortunately, I found the interior styling to be quite disappointing. The front seat storage was awkwardly sized and placed, and the cup holders were reminiscent of those from the 1970s. Additionally, there was no dedicated sunglass storage and no lock on the glove box. The infotainment system was a bit of a challenge to navigate, as it seemed to have a mind of its own and would flip to other screens unexpectedly. I also had trouble finding the screen that should have been projecting my Bluetooth connected mapping program, and the system would constantly try to download my contacts, which I never wanted. The aggressive exterior side panel styling meant that my car didn't get clean in a car wash unless the brushes were physically removing the dirt. All in all, I'm looking forward to moving on to something better when my lease is up. But, I'm grateful for the experience and the opportunity to try something new!

This vehicle has some areas that could be improved. Firstly, the car does not save the driver's side mirror settings, which can be inconvenient when switching drivers. Secondly, the downloadable owner's manual can be difficult to read on a phone. Thirdly, there have been complaints about the headlights being pointed down and having a dark spot in the middle of the road. Fourthly, the console and info-tainment system letters, icons, and info can be difficult to see for those with near-sight vision problems. Lastly, the car only has two cup holders in the front, which may not be enough for some users. Despite these issues, the car has many great features and is a top-of-the-line model. The transmission's poor match with the 2.5L engine raises concerns about its durability.
