- Summary: Twice upon driving tonight, I pressed the pedal to accelerate when the light turned green, and the driver seat unlocked and pulled me backwards. If I wasn't holding on to the steering wheel I would have lost control of the car and been involved in an accident. I was able to press the break with the tip of my toe, manage to put the car in park, readjust the seat and go back into drive. All this while the light had turned green and cars were accelerating behind me. This happened twice tonight!! I am taller than my mom, but she is the primary driver of this vehicle. And this has started happening more often. I am VERY concerned for her safety with this issue driving to work and heading home. And she is a senior driver. You can imagine my concern... We always check the seats when first getting into the car to make sure everything is ok. But now the seat is dislodging without warning ️. Could this possibly be a recall issue we missed? I think it's time to trade in this vehicle for a different one if nothing can be done

- Summary: Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2017 Dodge Caravan and Jeep Wrangler vehicles. The brake switches on these vehicles may malfunction, keeping the brake lights illuminated and/or allowing the vehicle to be shifted out of the PARK position without the brake pedal being pushed.
- Consequence: Having the brake lamps continuously illuminated or being able to shift the vehicle out of PARK when the brake pedal is not pressed (and the ignition is in the RUN mode) can increase the risk of a crash.
- Remedy: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the brake switches, free of charge. The recall began March 22, 2018. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is U09.

This is my company van, which I have been driving for about 9 months now. During this time, I have put on around 17,000 miles, and unfortunately, I have experienced a few issues. I had a freon leak, lost two AC belts, and lost a serpentine belt. Additionally, the brakes were redone about 10,000 miles ago, but they have started to squeak again. The driver's side window frame came loose inside the door, causing it to get stuck, and a power window switch burned out. One of the rear seats squeaks at about 110 decibels at highway speeds. The tires are wearing out faster than I expected, and the van has a shimmy at highway speeds. Despite these issues, I am grateful to have a reliable vehicle for work purposes.

This van has been a dependable transporter for our family of five, and despite its lack of performance, it was an inexpensive purchase. Although I have had a few problems, such as the head gasket blowing at around 65,000 miles and needing to add one to two pints of oil for the past year, it has still been a reliable vehicle. I was informed that the head gasket repair would cost around $1800, but the car is now only slightly more.

The design is very innovative, and while we did experience some issues with the quality and reliability, we were able to make use of our 7 year 100k mile Dodge warranty to address them. Unfortunately, we did encounter multiple major problems with the transmission (4), including a complete replacement, as well as issues with the cooling system, A/C (5), and a belt tensioner that fails like clockwork every 20K miles since new. We also experienced several other less critical problems that were too numerous to mention here. Despite the $50 warranty deductibles we had to pay after 36k miles, the long warranty enabled us to keep the car longer than we would have if we were footing the bills.

Although there are some areas that could be improved, this van has some great features. The stow and go seating is a clever idea and the van handles well on straight roads. However, the steering could use some work, especially on curvy roads. Additionally, the power sliding doors could be improved. The air conditioner and radio controls are located too low, which can be inconvenient for the driver. Lastly, while the rocker switches for windows have been placed on a vertical surface for safety, they are not very ergonomic. Overall, this van has a lot of potential and with some adjustments, it could be even better.

Our van experienced a crankshaft failure after only 200 miles, before we even made the first payment. Despite multiple attempts to contact the dealership we purchased the car from, Accardi Dodge, we received no response. Fortunately, we were able to have the car towed to another dealership, Arrigo Dodge West Palm Beach, FL, who promptly contacted the factory representative to secure a new engine. Unfortunately, we were not offered a loaner car and our vehicle was out of service for a week. As a result of this experience, we are extremely dissatisfied with the dealership we purchased the car from and will not be returning for future purchases.
