All this while the light had turned green and cars were accelerating behind me. This happened twice tonight!! I am taller than my mom, but she is the primary driver of this vehicle. And this has started happening more often. I am VERY concerned for her safety with this issue driving to work and heading home. And she is a senior driver. You can imagine my concern... We always check the seats when first getting into the car to make sure everything is ok. But now the seat is dislodging without warning ️. Could this possibly be a recall issue we missed? I think it's time to trade in this vehicle for a different one if nothing can be done

- Summary: Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2017 Dodge Caravan and Jeep Wrangler vehicles. The brake switches on these vehicles may malfunction, keeping the brake lights illuminated and/or allowing the vehicle to be shifted out of the PARK position without the brake pedal being pushed.
- Consequence: Having the brake lamps continuously illuminated or being able to shift the vehicle out of PARK when the brake pedal is not pressed (and the ignition is in the RUN mode) can increase the risk of a crash.

This is a wonderful vehicle! It's just the right size - not too small, not too big. The only thing I wish I had was power locks. It's a bit aggravating to have to manually lock each door, but I still love it and don't regret buying it at all.

Hi there! My husband and I recently went on a hunt for a used van and we came across a few options: a Chevy Ven 99, Olds Silo 02, and a Nissan Quest 01. The prices ranged from 12k to 18k, but we were lucky enough to stumble upon a Dodge dealership with an extra cheap marker ad for 16k, which we were able to purchase for 15.5k! We were a bit worried about the engine, but since it's a 4cyl 4, we're confident it will be just fine. We've had a Dodge before and the only issue we had was with the transmission at 96k, but thankfully the warranty has us covered up to 70k. Overall, we're really happy with our sensible choice. I did read that they're discontinuing this model, so if you're interested, it might be worth calling around to see if any dealerships need to move their stock. Thanks for reading!

As a geophysicist, I can imagine how important it is to have a reliable vehicle to carry all of your heavy equipment. It's great to hear that you've been able to easily work at a small desk you velcroed in. The fact that it has been super reliable with only a few repairs needed is a testament to its quality. I can understand why you still prefer driving it over your newer Outback wagon, especially since you like sitting up higher than in a regular car. It's also wonderful to hear that it's a good size and that your dogs enjoy it. Plus, the fact that canoes and sheets of plywood fit on the roof is a huge plus! Considerably inexpensive. Paid half the price of a same year Honda van we purchased for my wife's use. The engine is very peppy and economical. It is also very spacious for our family of 5. However, after 50,000 miles and 3 years, the evaporator and condenser needed replacing. $1000 dollars later, the A/C was cooling satisfactorily again. Soon, I will trade it in for a Honda van.

I have owned five Chrysler/Dodge minivans, but unfortunately, this one has been the worst. Although the design is good, the execution has been a failure. The radio does not pick up local stations, the transmission had to be re-programmed, and the driver's door had to be re-aligned twice. Additionally, the overhead console is loose, the cup holder failed, and the weatherstripping is falling out of the driver and passenger windows, hitting people in the head. There was also a failed resistor in the blower control. However, I must say that the dealer has been absolutely great. Unfortunately, the manufacturer has not owned up to the issues and has not provided any satisfaction despite my attempts to contact them through email and phone. It seems like they are not interested in retaining their customers.

This car is quite noisy, even after only 4000 miles. The road noise is particularly noticeable, which could be due to the tires. I plan to take it back to the dealer next week. While it is noisier than my 2000 Voyager and some parts seem flimsier, I hope that the manufacturer is not reverting to their old poor workmanship compared to Japanese cars.

Sport Shorty has a great sound system with Infinity speakers! It's a beautiful ride and handles very well, making it the best ride of all for a minivan. However, there were some issues with oil/transmission leaks, the a/c compressor needed to be replaced, and there were some problems with the front brakes and rotors. Additionally, the driver rear slider power door lock had intermittent failures and had to be taken back to the dealer five times, but unfortunately, the issue still hasn't been resolved. Despite these issues, it still averages 16 mpg.
