All this while the light had turned green and cars were accelerating behind me. This happened twice tonight!! I am taller than my mom, but she is the primary driver of this vehicle. And this has started happening more often. I am VERY concerned for her safety with this issue driving to work and heading home. And she is a senior driver. You can imagine my concern... We always check the seats when first getting into the car to make sure everything is ok. But now the seat is dislodging without warning ️. Could this possibly be a recall issue we missed? I think it's time to trade in this vehicle for a different one if nothing can be done

- Summary: Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2017 Dodge Caravan and Jeep Wrangler vehicles. The brake switches on these vehicles may malfunction, keeping the brake lights illuminated and/or allowing the vehicle to be shifted out of the PARK position without the brake pedal being pushed.
- Consequence: Having the brake lamps continuously illuminated or being able to shift the vehicle out of PARK when the brake pedal is not pressed (and the ignition is in the RUN mode) can increase the risk of a crash.

We've put 137,000 miles on it and have never had any major issues. We've kept up with regular oil changes, replaced the battery every few years, and serviced the brakes once. Hi there! I just wanted to share my experience with my 2nd DODGE CARAVAN. I purchased a used 1998 model back in 2000 with 170,000 miles on it. Unfortunately, it was side-swiped by a lady sending a text message. However, I was lucky enough to find a great dealer friend in California who sold me a brand new 2006 STX full option model. It has been my trusty companion for the last 13 years and has served me well on many long trips across the country, from Oregon to Pennsylvania and everywhere in between. I have taken great care of it, changing the oil and filter every 3500-4500 miles, flushing the transmission fluid twice, and the coolant once. I did have a radiator failure in 2017 at 125,000 miles, but other than that, it has been a reliable vehicle. I have replaced the rack and pinion steering twice, but now I just drain and flush the power steering fluid every 2nd oil change to keep it in good condition. I recently replaced the front struts and springs and rear shocks, and it now rides like a new car! This model has power doors and rear hatch, and although the driver side motor went out at 51000 miles, the dealer replaced it free of charge. As a handicapped person, I use a Pride GO-GO three-wheel electric scooter which I carry in the back. I use a power hoist to put it in and out of the vehicle since 2007. Although I have thought about selling the van, I can't seem to find a suitable replacement for under $35000, so I will keep driving this car. The 3.8 V6 runs well, and I have only had to do one major tune-up to date. Thanks for listening!

I've been driving this vehicle for 6 years and have had no problems, even after covering over 150,000km. I make sure to have it serviced regularly and don't drive it too hard. I've even managed to get 8.2 litres/100km (around 26-27mpg US) several times! It's a 5-passenger 4-cylinder with an automatic transmission, and I find it comfortable to cruise at 110km/hr. The only time I notice a lack of power is on mountain roads, but downshifting takes care of that. Overall, it's been a great vehicle for me.

It's great to hear that you haven't had any major problems with it, but I understand that you've had to get the alignment fixed twice and the brakes replaced at 35,000 miles. After only 4 months of purchase, the brake pads were worn out and had to be replaced with OEM parts from Dodge. Unfortunately, they are about to go out again after just 6 months, accompanied by a squeaking sound coming from the two front wheels. I took it to a Dodge dealership for repairs and was told that the squeaking sound is normal. After 7 months, the Serpentine Belt and the Belt Tensioner snapped in the middle of the highway, and after 11 months, the starter is also showing signs of wear. Additionally, one of the OEM Wheel Covers flew off and to replace it, I have to pay an exorbitant $94.50. It's frustrating to see the value of this vehicle depreciate so quickly, potentially losing up to $3,000 a year. However, I remain hopeful that these issues can be resolved with the help of a reliable mechanic.

I encountered two major issues with the van I purchased. The sensors were faulty, including the airbag, transmission, and throttle sensors. I had them fixed at a Dodge dealership. It is important to note that Toyota is not the only manufacturer that experiences issues. Unfortunately, the faulty throttle sensor caused unintentional acceleration, which almost resulted in a fatality. This is a clear indication of a bad design. I have a strong dislike for electronic parts, especially when they are faulty.
