AFTER DRIVING VERY SLOWLY ON THE PARKING LOT AND TRIED TO TURN SLOWLY SEVERAL TIME, THE STEERING FINALLY GOT BACK. HTTP://WWW.TOPIX.COM/FORUM/AUTOS/DODGE-GRAND-CARAVAN/TC37VJLP6MD4POHVJ SINCE I DON'T DRIVE MUCH AND MOSTLY PARK MY VEHICLE IN THE GARAGE, I DON'T HAVE MUCH PROBLEM. IT HAS HAPPENED A COUPLE MORE TIMES AFTER THE FIRST INCIDENT, BUT IT USUALLY RETURNS NORMAL AFTER I MAKE SEVERAL SMALL TURNS IN THE PARKING LOT. BUT THIS MORNING, IT HAPPENED AGAIN, AFTER I PARKED MY CAR OUTSIDE WITH AN OVERNIGHT RAIN, AND THE WHEEL WAS STILL KIND OF STUCK AFTER I DROVE ABOUT 5 MILES, MAKING SEVERAL TURNS ON PURPOSE IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD. IT'S STILL POURING OUTSIDE, I DON'T KNOW IF I CAN GET THE STEERING BACK TO NORMAL AFTER WORK. SINCE I AM NOT THE ONLY PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM, I HOPE THE MANUFACTURER COULD HELP US SOLVE THE PROBLEM. THANKS!

Nice van! I'm glad to hear that you've never had any problems with it. It's great that nothing went wrong at 66000 miles.

We bought the Caravan used for its style, comfort, and price. After about two years of owning it, we started experiencing some issues. The transmission began to leak, and we had to replace a part that cost us $445. Unfortunately, I cannot recall the name of the part. Additionally, the key would not turn in the ignition, but after contacting the dealership, we were advised to tap it with a hammer, which surprisingly worked. Despite these issues, the van has good power, and the basic equipment, such as power, two sliding doors, and keyless entry, is all we needed. I understand that when buying used, you may inherit someone else's problems, but I will opt for a new foreign car next time.

I never thought I would own a minivan! But this minivan changed my mind quickly. I am extremely pleased with it. It has been reliable, strong, and has great practical options. In my opinion, it is the best pick in minivans!

I bought a 1992 Plymouth Voyager and put 137,000 miles on it with only one problem - the head gasket needed replacement at 32,000 miles. So, in 2003, I decided to retire that great baby to the purple heart and buy a used Dodge. The price was very good and after getting the shift solenoid seal fixed under warranty and pan gasket (within 1 month of buying so repair was free), I have had no problems. The ride is smooth and it corners well with HD suspension. It has great power and the mileage is better than advertised. With cruise and sensible driving, I can get 28 mpg on the highway. It has great room and is flexible too. It is very easy on tires and brakes. I have the 3.3 L which is a plus. The paint and exterior are very durable. I paid $11K in 2003 with 26,000 miles on it.

We purchased our Grand Caravan in June 2000 when our third child was born. Since day one, I have not had a single complaint! The only thing that needed adjusting was the front brakes at one point, but that was due to all the in-town driving we do, not due to poor brakes. It is the most comfortable vehicle with plenty of room for everyone. I absolutely love my Dodge Grand Caravan!

I purchased this van back in February of 2000 and owned it for almost 10 years. While it initially rode quite well and was pretty frugal on fuel, unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations in the long run. To start, a pair of brakes only lasted 15K miles (dealer never could solve the problem), a failed power steering pump at 49K, and now a transmission that has trouble shifting into 2nd gear. Additionally, the rubber linings around the van are all warped and the frame is rusting out. These vans are designed to be disposable and are not suitable for people who keep cars for longer than 60-70K miles. If you are looking for a more reliable van, I would recommend going for a Honda or Toyota van. While these vans may offer a lower price point, they unfortunately do not offer the same level of value or quality.

This is my company van, which I have been driving for about 9 months now. During this time, I have put on around 17,000 miles, and unfortunately, I have experienced a few issues. I had a freon leak, lost two AC belts, and lost a serpentine belt. Additionally, the brakes were redone about 10,000 miles ago, but they have started to squeak again. The driver's side window frame came loose inside the door, causing it to get stuck, and a power window switch burned out. One of the rear seats squeaks at about 110 decibels at highway speeds. The tires are wearing out faster than I expected, and the van has a shimmy at highway speeds. Despite these issues, I am grateful to have a reliable vehicle for work purposes.

This vehicle has multiple problems with its electrical systems and transmission, which can be costly to repair. Based on my experience with Dodge products, I cannot recommend this vehicle or any other Dodge or Chrysler products. These vehicles do not hold their value well and are not reliable. I strongly advise against purchasing them.

The transmission and power steering pump required replacement at 70,000 miles, costing $3,000. This experience highlights the poor quality of the mechanical components. However, I am confident that I would not purchase another one.

We are confident in stating that the build quality and reliability of this vehicle have not met our expectations. Despite having only 60,000 miles, it feels like a vehicle with 100,000 miles.
