Chrysler 300 problems
The Chrysler 300 is a full-size car manufactured and marketed by Stellantis North America and its predecessor companies as a four-door sedan and station wagon in its first generation (model years 2005–2010) and solely as a four-door sedan in its second generation (model years 2011–2023).
The second generation 300 was marketed as the Chrysler 300C in the United Kingdom and Ireland and as the Lancia Thema in the remainder of Europe.
Background
The Chrysler 300 continues a tradition of large front engine, rear-wheel drive V8-powered luxury sedans the company has offered, starting in the 1940s with the Chrysler Saratoga and Chrysler New Yorker, followed by the Chrysler Windsor, Chrysler Newport and the Chrysler Cordoba, with the last rear wheel drive sedan, the Chrysler Fifth Avenue that ended production in 1989.
When the company began operations in 1925, the Chrysler Six was entered as a roadster in the 1925 24 Hours of Le Mans where it finished the race, and in 1926, the Chrysler Imperial started the tradition of luxury and performance products. Starting in 1955, the Imperial became its own luxury brand and offered the Imperial Newport along with the Imperial Crown. The original Chrysler FirePower Hemi engine powered the Cunningham C-5R, a special racecar, and finished the 1952 Le Mans, 1953 Le Mans, and 1954 Le Mans endurance races, as well as the 1953 12 Hours of Sebring.

Chrysler 300 2019
- Date Of Incident: 2024-09-28
- Date Complaint: 2024-10-20
- VIN: 2C3CCAAG6KH
- Components: VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
- Summary: The cruise system malfunctioned. In multiple scenarios (at least three) when the cruise control was set, if the accelerator is pushed while the cruise control is engaged, the vehicle will continue to accelerate even if the accelerator is released. Disengaging the cruise control via brake usage or by hand on the steering wheel does not stop the unwanted acceleration. The only way to stop the acceleration is to move it from in Drive to Neutral. At that point, an error populates on the dash and the acceleration stops with cruise control disengagement as well. The issue is fixed upon placing the car back in Drive. Unsolicited acceleration puts the driver and others on the road at risk. The issue has not been presented to a dealer or service center for review and has not been inspected by other entities. No dash messages or warnings occurred prior to the failure.

- Date Of Incident: 2024-10-07
- Date Complaint: 2024-10-14
- VIN: 2C3CCAAG4MH
- Components: SEAT BELTS
- Summary: -Took Vehicle to Service Center, they told me to call 800-992-1997 and ask for authorization for replacement. - Its at the service center for Larry Miller Chrysler, so I am not sure why they are not calling to get approvals. The seatbelt should never have unraveled or torn, they keep saying my warranty just expired, but this is a factory issue, no seatbelt should be tearing every and I have had the car for 3 years now. My concern has nothing to do with the safety recall, this is a separate issue. My seatbelt on the driver side has began unraveling, Ive been driving since 16 teen and never saw this before. I went to buckle my seatbelt about a week agao from 10/14/2024 and it would not pull through and I notice it was actually torn in half to the middle mark of the canvas belt. This is a FYI, i have taken it to dealership, they are looking it over. They did without looking just say to me out the blue I have never heard of this you must have cut it. ( That was insulting, why would I, [XXX] just cut my seatbelt)? The Larry Miller Dealership, service center is a joke. - VIN: 2C3LA73W07H
- Components: POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER

Replaced the battery twice in 2 weeks and the alternator as well and the car continues to do this randomly. No codes show up but the abs light, esp bas lights are on, the brake light will come on every now and then without the brake being pressed and the car seriously just seems to have a mind of it's own.

I love my Hemi! It's such a great car. I used to have an '01 Avalon, which was a bit more luxurious, but the Hemi handles so much better and really turns heads. The Avalon looked too similar to other Toyotas, so people didn't realize it was top of the line. The Hemi, on the other hand, looks and feels amazing and is a much better value. Plus, it gets just as good gas mileage as my old Avalon. I used to be a die-hard Toyota fan, but this car has completely changed my mind. I absolutely love it!

I've had my 300 since it had 2500 miles on it, it now has 55,000 and I've never had an issue with it. The only expense I've had is oil changes and tires. While it may not be as luxurious as a BMW or Mercedes, it's a reliable choice that won't break the bank with costly repairs. It may not offer the smoothest ride, but the peace of mind it provides is definitely worth considering.

What can I say, I absolutely love this vehicle! The boxy exterior design and the muscle under the hood make it a future classic. As someone who appreciates luxury, the 300 is everything I could ask for and more.

I absolutely adore this car! I have been a fan since its debut in 2005 and now I finally have one of my own. It is just as thrilling as I had hoped it would be. The 5.7 L HEMI engine provides incredible power when you need it, and it even deactivates cylinders when cruising to save on fuel economy. The interior quality is top-notch, and the stereo sounds amazing. The exterior is both sexy and menacing. Plus, it has the quietest and most comfortable ride I have ever experienced. I highly recommend it, especially since it's currently on sale. I was able to save almost $15K on mine!

I really enjoyed my 2007 300 limited, so I was excited to upgrade to a 2012 model. However, I have to admit that it has been somewhat of a disappointment. In just 5 weeks, it has been at the dealer more times than my 07' was in 5 years. Although it is a beautiful car that rides great, has more power, and is very quiet, I have found the electronic features to be extremely annoying. For example, the lights go on during the day and the A/C turns on without being turned on. Additionally, the FOB doesn't always make contact. Unfortunately, the dealer has been unable to find a problem. Overall, it has been a real disappointment and I find myself wishing I had my 07 back.

I really like the look of the car, but I wish I had known it was underpowered before I bought it. Unfortunately, the salesman didn't offer me a test drive of the 3.5. I'm a bit concerned about the transmission, especially since the car weighs almost 4,000 lbs. Surprisingly, my old 98 Ford Taurus had better performance. Oh well, live and learn. I'll probably look into trading it in before the warranty expires.

The car is indeed beautiful and provides a great ride. However, the front control module is prone to malfunctioning, and it is often necessary to visit a dealership to have it reset. Unfortunately, the piece has been discontinued and is difficult to find. Despite this challenge, I am confident that a solution can be found with the right expertise and resources.

Vehicle year: 2009
I have experienced several issues with my car, including cracked leather seats, a leaking crank sensor seal, and a broken lumbar adjustment. Despite multiple attempts by dealers in northeast Ohio to fix these issues, they persisted. Recently, the motor began ticking and the valves needed to be replaced. Although the dealer initially fixed the issue, a new valve became stuck, leading to the replacement of the entire top end of the motor and the water pump. Unfortunately, poor workmanship resulted in an oil leak, requiring yet another replacement of the crank sensor seal. While I am dissatisfied with the quality of the car and the dealers' work, I am confident that these issues can be resolved with the right expertise and attention.
