- Consequence: These vehicles are equipped with certain air bag inflators assembled as part of the passenger frontal air bag modules, and used as original equipment or replacement equipment. These inflators may rupture due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to absolute humidity and temperature cycling. An inflator rupture may result in metal fragments striking the vehicle occupants resulting in serious injury or death.
- Remedy: Chrysler will notify the Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and RAM owners. Mitsubishi owners will be notified by their company. Dealers will replace the passenger frontal air bag inflator, free of charge. The recall began on March 27, 2017. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. The affected vehicles, equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission and a monostable gear selector, may not adequately warn the driver when driver's door is opened and the vehicle is not in PARK, allowing them to exit the vehicle while the vehicle is still in gear.
- Consequence: Drivers thinking that their vehicle's transmission is in the PARK position may be struck by the vehicle and injured if they attempt to get out of the vehicle while the engine is running and the parking brake is not engaged.

I was considering purchasing an Infinity M37, but after reading some negative reviews about the transmission, I decided to give our good old American Chrysler a try. And let me tell you, I was blown away! You really never appreciate a good car until you own one. Since I got the car, I've been looking for any excuse to drive it, just to feel the growl of that V8 engine. The interior is both classy and spacious, and the navigation is the easiest I've seen in a vehicle. Bottom line, this is one of the best cars for the money out there. I'm completely content with my purchase. If you're looking for a large sedan, I highly recommend giving the 300 a try. You won't regret it!

This is our fourth Chrysler and the 2012 Chrysler 300 Limited has been the best one yet. It has 68,000 miles on it and has not had a single issue, except for regular oil changes and brakes. The brakes lasted for three years before wearing down. We even took it on a road trip from Chicago to Bloomington, Mn and were amazed by its fuel efficiency. With cruise control on for most of the trip, we got an impressive 39.3 mpg. The car is also very comfortable and can seat five adults with ease. The engine is powerful and the car glides through traffic with ease. We love this car and are considering purchasing another vehicle in the Chrysler family in the near future.

I love this car! Recently, I took a job in Yuma, Arizona and due to a variety of circumstances, I will be commuting weekly between Las Vegas and Yuma for the foreseeable future. I didn't want to damage my Lexus GS450h on the winding, dipping, bumpy 2 lane 280 mile drive loaded with semi-tractor trailer commerce and lines of traffic, so I rented a car at first. However, that proved to be less than satisfactory. So, I began looking for a vehicle that was comfortable, good on gas, equipped with a spirited engine to pass the big rigs, some convenience features, a decent sound system, and of course, a competitive price. I was determined to find a car made in America.

The 300 limited is a beautiful, well-built machine. Everything about it is great. I traded in a 2002 Chrysler and had great performance from it. I hope I have as much fun and reliability from this one, and I'm sure I will. Love it!

I really enjoyed my 2007 300 limited, so I was excited to upgrade to a 2012 model. However, I have to admit that it has been somewhat of a disappointment. In just 5 weeks, it has been at the dealer more times than my 07' was in 5 years. Although it is a beautiful car that rides great, has more power, and is very quiet, I have found the electronic features to be extremely annoying. For example, the lights go on during the day and the A/C turns on without being turned on. Additionally, the FOB doesn't always make contact. Unfortunately, the dealer has been unable to find a problem. Overall, it has been a real disappointment and I find myself wishing I had my 07 back.

I purchased the car in 2019 and kept it for six months. The styling was the main reason I bought the car, and I must say it looks awesome. The seats are comfortable, and the car is quiet. However, I found the ride to be too firm, and I felt every bump, which was not ideal for a car of this size. I tried to soften it up by ensuring the tires were at 30 lb PSI, but it didn't help much. I would have preferred a plush ride. Unfortunately, the car had quite a few mechanical problems, which lowered my score for it. For instance, the cruise control worked on and off, and there was an error with the all-wheel-drive that said it had to be serviced. Once that happened, everything else seemed to be connected to it, so nothing else worked. No more cruise control, no anti-lock or traction control, or blind spot protection. Apparently, when that light popped on about the all-wheel-drive being serviced, everything else went out with it. I wasn't going to get into repairing that, so I sold the car. One thing I noticed is that it was challenging to close the door when you're sitting in the car because you can't reach the handle. Also, when you go to open the driver's door, if you don't push it open with just the right amount of force, the door closes back on you. The infotainment center is okay but not great, and it's sort of a nuisance how you have to open a different window and then choose airflow if you are looking at the radio on the screen. But they put a hard AC button down below. Why didn't they just put a hard air flow direction button down there so you don't have to fiddle with the touch screen? The gas pedal is a little weird in that you get a delayed reaction when you accelerate. I don't know if it's an electronic gas pedal or what, but that sort of sucks.

I'll admit when I first picked mine up, I was pretty impressed. It looked nice, drives fast, and was a great take on an American sedan, and who doesn't like the design!! Sadly, after just a week of driving the car to work, the quality of many components broke down. In my opinion, this car is not worth the trouble. I suggest to anyone who wants this car, to go with something else.
