Linkage to parking brake below center console had broken free at joint (lead solder ball popped off cable). - Summary: My 2014 Camaro SS, has about 35k miles on it now, and only drive during the summer. I was looking for a parking spot at work, went to turn right, and the steering wheel totally locked up on me, would not turn left or right from a straight position, ended up slamming on the brakes for i wouldn't run into the embankment in front of me. Put the car in Park, kept playing with the steering wheel, and it finally came free and turned right, after trying to go from left to right a couple of times. So put it back in drive and it performed normally the rest of the day. Sometimes when parking the car, the key will not go fully into the lock position, without starting and shutting the car down a few times, and wiggling the steering wheel in the center position. I See there is a steering related recall on this vehicle but thinking that isn't the problem, but will check it out just in case. But as you can see this could be a very dangerous situation when driving down the highway at 70 MPH. This car was also one that had the key upgrade to it for the issue with the ignition switch, but thinking that isn't an issue. I also used to work for GM in Powertrain, and the switch/sensor area for a while where the one gentleman was fired from, and now retired from GM. So am very familiar with vehicles and thinking it may be the locking mechanism in the steering wheel that is having issues, or the PCM is having glitches? Any help you can provide would be most appreciated.

- Summary: The blender door is junk. It falls apart, so no air conditioning or worse, no heat. I got stuck in a traffic jam in freezing temps and despite blankets, I may lose a piece of my ear lobe. Flash forward, not a single local repair shop will fix this. They say it's a recall issue...or one that should be. Sadly, the dealerships want $4k - $6k to fix it. Something that just is not in my budget with this economy. Chevrolet might want to fix this before someone loses more than an ear lobe. I will be suing if my doctor has to remove a portion of my ear. They were concerned over a stupid sticker on a visor, but not people freezing to death or dying of heat stroke. Do better Chevrolet. Do beter NHTSA - I filed a complaint about my Ford going into limp mode on a highway without warning over ten years ago and the only response from anyone was crickets.

- Summary: General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain replacement flip-key ignition transmitter assemblies sold as replacement equipment for 2010-2015 Chevrolet Camaro vehicles. GM dealers may have inadvertently sold these assemblies as replacement keys despite them having been recalled under NHTSA recall number 14V-346 (GM number 14294) when they were the original equipment assemblies. The driver may accidentally bump the ignition key with their knee, moving the ignition out of the run position and turning off the engine.
- Consequence: Once the engine is off, the vehicle can lose power steering and power braking, increasing the risk of a crash. The air bags may not deploy in a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
- Remedy: GM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and, as necessary, replace the key with the flat blade design, free of charge. Interim notices informing owners of the safety risk were mailed November 6, 2019. Owners received a second notice and the recall began February 4, 2020. Improperly torqued fasteners may cause the steering intermediate shaft and the steering gear and/or the lower control arm and the lower ball joint to separate.
- Consequence: If any of the components separate, the vehicle may have a loss of steering, increasing the risk of a crash.

- Summary: General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling all 2010-2014 Chevrolet Camaro vehicles manufactured December 3, 2008 to May 23, 2014. In the affected vehicles, the driver may accidentally hit the ignition key with their knee, unintentionally knocking the key out of the run position, turning off the engine.
- Consequence: If the key is not in the run position, the air bags may not deploy if the vehicle is involved in a crash, increasing the risk of injury. Additionally, a key knocked out of the run position could cause loss of engine power, power steering, and power braking, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.
- Remedy: GM will notify owners, and dealers will remove the key blade from the original flip key/RKE transmitter assemblies, and provide two new keys and two key rings per key. The recall began August 25, 2014. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020. GM's number for this recall is 14294. Note: Until the recall has been performed, it is very important that drivers adjust their seat and steering column to allow clearance between their knee and the ignition key.

- Summary: General Motors (GM) is recalling certain model year 2013 and 2014 Chevrolet Camaro Coupes manufactured June 9, 2013, through September 6, 2013. In the affected vehicles, the required air bag warning label on the sun visor may peel off. Thus, these vehicles fail to comply to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 208 "Occupant Crash Protection."
- Consequence: If the air bag warning label detaches from the visor, the driver and front seat passenger may not be warned of the risks of air bag deployment, increasing the risk of injury in the event of a crash.
- Remedy: GM will notify owners, and instruct owners how to inspect the visor sticker. As necessary, dealers will replace the sun visor, free of charge. The recall began on October 28, 2013. Owners may contact GM at 1-800-521-7300. GM's recall campaign number is 13284.

I hope this review finds you well! As for my Camaro, I have put 1500 miles on it and so far, everything is great. I previously drove a Celica GTS TRD and never had any issues with it, so I am hoping for the same with this GM product. I am pleased with the Camaro's exterior appearance and performance - both are top-notch! However, the interior took some getting used to. While the controls are not completely intuitive, I am still happy with all aspects of the car. The steering wheel radio controls could be improved, and I would have liked to customize the in-dash menu selections for performance and mileage/trip readings. On the bright side, the HUD is pretty cool and I like the display options. Lastly, the manual transmission is smooth shifting and solid. Thank you for taking the time to read my review!

This 2014 2LT with RS and Automatic Transmission is a fantastic car. Every option available was ordered from the factory. It's a wonderful car and well priced. We bought this car for our son as a graduation present when he graduated from college. He loves this car. Everything about it is good. We had not bought an American car for many, many years because we got burned on a few, so we only bought Japanese cars. When our son wanted the Camaro, I was a bit hesitant, but it has worked out extremely well. It has 36,000 miles and Pirelli P-Zero 20 inch tires still in very good condition and no repairs whatsoever. We bought the best GM extended warranty, but never needed it even once! Everything has performed flawlessly. The only things we did were service-related: oil/filter changes, tire rotation, engine air filter, cabin air filter, and recently an injector cleaning service. That is all. This car has restored my faith in US cars, well, at least this particular one! The oil level is always constant between oil changes (it does not burn or leak oil). After 36,000 miles in stop-go L.A. traffic, the brake pads still have a lot of meat on them. If you like the 2014 body style (2015 was the last of this style) and you can get a clean one, I would recommend that you go for it. The interior is roomy enough; starting with the 2016 models, the interior is too tight for comfort (smaller car). This one is lots of fun and has a great crash/safety rating. It has a nice rumble when you get on it if you can find one with dual-tone performance exhaust (4 exhaust tips). Sweet!

The car is an absolute blast to drive, with plenty of torque and horsepower that make it feel incredibly light on its feet. While there aren't a ton of wheel options available, there are plenty of aftermarket parts to choose from. Despite feeling a bit big, the ride quality is surprisingly good, especially for a 24-year-old like myself. The cluster in front of me is perfect, with an easily readable RPM gauge, digital speedometer, oil and coolant temperature gauges, and fuel range indicator. However, the interior design leaves something to be desired. For the price point, it's disappointing that the interior is so unattractive. The heat is always on, and the radio system is reminiscent of a cheap Android phone. While it's easy to use, it's not something you'd want to rely on every day. Bluetooth and USB connectivity can be finicky at times, and the radio struggles to decide between playing Apple Music and Pandora. Despite these minor issues, the car's rowdy cam and long tube headers and exhaust make for an incredible driving experience that more than makes up for any shortcomings.

Owning a convertible Camaro has its perks! People can't help but smile and compliment the car's cool exterior. However, once inside, there are a few downsides to consider. The doors are thinner than other sports cars, which can lead to more driving noise. The seats can be uncomfortable for long rides, and visibility is not the best. On the bright side, the air conditioning works great even with the top down, and the heater and butt warmers are a nice touch for cooler mornings. Unfortunately, the stock radio has issues with staying connected to iPhones, which can be a constant annoyance. The audio system is also poor, especially for songs with decent bass. The engine tune is not as powerful as expected, and the driving characteristics feel more like a midsized sedan. One major annoyance is that if you unlatch the top, the trunk won't open, which can create an extra hassle. Despite these drawbacks, the car has grown on me over the past year of ownership. The heads-up display can be difficult to see during peak sunlight hours, and the gauge cluster in front of the shift can be awkward to check while driving. Overall, the Camaro has a gimmicky feel, but it's still a fun car to own and drive.

This car has great performance and gets excellent gas mileage for a sports car with 323 horsepower. However, it's important to note that the rack-pinion and entire steering column may need to be replaced after about 50,000 miles. I had to replace mine, and if it wasn't under warranty, it would have cost me over $1600 to fix. I had a similar issue with a Jeep I owned, and I suspect this is a common problem after 50,000 miles. While I love the performance, it's not a car you want to keep for a long time. Thanks for sharing your experience!
