Land Rover aimed to achieve 120 g/km CO2 emissions and fuel economy of 60 mpg‑imp (4.7 L/100 km; 50 mpg‑US) on the European combined cycle with an efficient 2.2-litre turbodiesel engine based on PSA DW12. The engine would become the only four-cylinder vehicle in the Range Rover lineup.

A component within the Occupant Classification System (OCS) Electronic Control Unit (ECU) may fail, resulting in the front seat passenger air bag being totally or partially disabled.
- Consequence: In the event of a crash necessitating air bag deployment, if the air bag is disabled, the air bag may not deploy or may not deploy properly, increasing the risk of injury to the front seat passenger.
- Remedy: Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will update the Restraint Control Module software, free of charge. The recall began on August 30, 2014. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is P046.

- Consequence: Insufficiently torqued brake caliper bolts may result in the brake caliper detaching. A detached brake caliper may lead to a loss of brake function. Additonally, the caliper may strike a wheel resulting in the sudden deflation of a tire. Either situation may increase the risk of a vehicle crash.

What an amazing ride! It's so smooth and powerful. I feel really safe in the car. I had been driving the LR4 for two and a half years and was looking for a smaller car, but couldn't find one that was as comfortable and enjoyable to drive until I tried the Evoque. I ended up getting the Dynamic and I absolutely love the look of the silver with the black top and square mufflers.

This vehicle is an absolute blast to drive, with plenty of sporty features packed into a less utilitarian design. The stylish exterior is sure to turn heads, and the interior is well-crafted with a premium feel. While the Land Rover packaging could use some improvement, overall this is a fun little ride that's sure to impress. It's worth noting that the magne ride is only available in the dynamic model, and the hood scoops are only available in the coupe, but these are minor details in an otherwise excellent vehicle.

I completely agree that LR should offer the 190 hp diesel 6 spd manual Evoque in the US. It's a shame that this model is not available here, especially considering how much better it is compared to the US spec quirky automatic. I had military sales order a German spec model and it was a pleasure to drive. The car gets about 40 mpg on the autobahn and will run a steady 120 mph all day. Visibility is not a problem and the back-up camera is a must. LR should definitely consider bringing this model to the US, especially since VW has been successful in bringing over their diesels.

Warning to all Evoque owners. Let me start by saying that I'm a car enthusiast and have owned 37 cars already due to my love for them. However, I recently had a poor service experience with Land Rover. The major problem was due to the shifter malfunction, causing the car to engage in gear and run into my parked car. Range Rover found 3 fault codes and replaced the electronic gear shifter. Unfortunately, after calling Range Rover, they are refusing to pay for damages and my demand of replacing the car. I am disappointed that they do not seem to care about the potential danger this car could have caused. This experience has left me with a negative impression of Land Rover and I will not be purchasing from them again.
