The Land Rover Range Rover Evoque, also known as the Range Rover Evoque, is a subcompact luxury crossover SUV developed and produced by Jaguar Land Rover under their Land Rover marque. Development
The size of the LRX concept vehicle complemented a wide array of efficiency-improving technologies in the form of Land Rover's e_Terrain technologies. These included biofuel compatibility, lightweight construction materials, and technologies such as the removable carbon composite roof panels, regenerative brakes, a stop-start system, along with the ERAD (electric rear axle drive) parallel hybrid powertrain system.

The ERAD system could propel the LRX to speeds up to 20 mph (32 km/h) before the engine was started by an integrated starter generator as part of the stop-start system. ERAD was designed to reduce CO2 emissions by an average of 20% under the NEDC test cycle and was expected to offer another 10% reduction in extra-urban driving situations while also optimizing the off-road ability of the vehicle. Land Rover aimed to achieve 120 g/km CO2 emissions and fuel economy of 60 mpg‑imp (4.7 L/100 km; 50 mpg‑US) on the European combined cycle with an efficient 2.2-litre turbodiesel engine based on PSA DW12. The engine would become the only four-cylinder vehicle in the Range Rover lineup.

- Summary: The the top of the windshield leaks. The windshield has actually pulled away from the body of the car and needs to be completely resealed. This is a well known and recall problem for 2015 to 2018 Land Rover Evokes. My Evoke is a 2019 thus dose not fall under the recall, yet its the same issue. There are many other people with this complaint which can be seen with a quick Google search on this issue. My dealership has straight out told me that my year is not in the recall, although same problem, its not a recall item because my year is not included in the recall. I am asking that you expand the current recall for leaking windshields form 2015 to 2022 (i say 2022 because on line, there seems to be an on going issue until 2022. Not to mention, this issue drastically diminishes the safety integrity of the vehicle roll over safety / security / strength. Thanks you.

- Summary: . I leased the vehicle from the Suburban of Troy (Jaguar Troy-Land Rover Troy) at 1815 Maplelawn Troy, MI 48084 through Ally Financial on 6/30/22. On 7/29/22 and 8/15/22, I brought the vehicle into the Suburban Collection’s Service Center. I stated that when I remote started the vehicle from the app, I would start driving and a “Gearbox Fault” message would turn on for a day or so and would shut off. I provided the Service Advisor with my login credentials to troubleshoot the concern with my vehicle. Unfortunately, no resolution was made with regards to my vehicle and it was returned to me. This continued to occur. On 1/9/23 (with just over 6,500 miles), I again brought my vehicle into the service center. I started my vehicle using the mobile app while the auto start/stop function was enabled and drove the vehicle for a number of miles and upon entering a roundabout, the vehicle shifted itself into neutral during rush hour traffic. I could not switch out of neutral and had to restart the vehicle in the middle of rush hour and I could have been rear ended. This situation was horrifying. I reached out to four individuals via JLR corporate emails on 3/7/23, as I had not received any information from my service advisor regarding my vehicle. During that time, I was driving a loaner vehicle that did not have the same features and I was unable to start the vehicle remotely during that time. I received correspondence from an Executive Liaison, Jean Meyer on 3/8/23 after receiving my vehicle the day prior. It had been in the dealership’s possession at that time for 66 days and in total, my vehicle had been in their possession for 78 days. During that time, I was informed that the Service Advisor that I had worked with was eliminated because of his handling of my case. I was told that the Shop Foreman was working on my vehicle and that it had been escalated to an engineer that manufactures the transmission, but no one was able to find a resolution for my car switching into n

- Summary: While driving on the interstate I released the cruise and slowed down when coming up on an 18 wheeler. When it was clear I began to change lanes to the left and tried to accelerate but the engine would not respond. About 5 or 6 seconds later it finally responded. This has happened about a dozen times at random. It has been in the dealers shop 6 times for this issue. The usually update the software and call it good but it keeps on happening. I had it in the shop this past January 2021 and a tech from Range Rover worked on it for about 1 1/2 weeks upgrading the software and said it was fixed. It happened 2 times since then so back to the shop I went. They returned the car on the 4th day stating they could not make the car shut down and there were no codes. I don’t know about you but it’s very stressful when you are driving in heavy traffic on Interstate 4 near Orlando and your car shuts done for a few seconds. I read on the internet where other people are having similar issues. I think something needs to be done before there is a tragic accident because Range Rover acts like they don’t know what everyone is talking about.

Vehicle year: 2022
This vehicle is very adept at handling both on the road and in town. It feels glued to the road and the brakes are phenomenal. You can easily turn the stop/start mode on or off with a simple button on the dash, similar to other Range Rovers. The Apple Car Play works nicely and the car can be set up as a WiFi hotspot. When using navigation for directions, the radio or media automatically goes quiet while Navigation voice instructions are being given, then returns. There are a lot of features on this vehicle, so it may take some time to program and understand how to use them. However, the double touch screen dash is awesome. You can have the Nav system up and running on one screen and on the other it will show the album cover of the song playing, or cabin comfort controls. One nice touch is the full-size spare in our model, which is much better than the can of flat fix in most other vehicles. The rear camera in the rearview mirror feature is incredible for rearward viewing when driving and works very well. The biggest drawback so far is learning all the features of the HSE model and how to use them. Most of the programming is very intuitive, but some is not. The interior is a clone of the higher bracket RR Velar. So far, this car has been a real joy to drive, with plenty of zip and acceptable gas usage. It has been trouble-free since we took delivery, with only minor routine maintenance like changing oil, etc.

I was considering purchasing a BMW X3 or 5, an Audi G3 or 5, or possibly a Tiguan. However, a friend recommended that I take a look at the new Evoque. After taking it for a test drive, I was sold. The interior fit and finish are great, and the two touch screens are a fantastic feature. You have complete control of vehicle dynamics, including start-stop in Eco mode. If you don't want it, you can turn it off. The Evoque also has a nifty garage door opener in the rearview mirror, along with a new killer feature of simply clicking the knob on the mirror to get real-time video from behind the car at all times! I had a laugh when the LR dealer told me that they had been installing the self-parking feature for about 5 years now in various models, while the BMW guy claimed that their self-parking feature was new and cutting edge. This was one of the reasons why I chose the Evoque. The engine and transmission are very smooth and have lots of pep, making it a real joy to drive. One of the best designs in the Compact SUV category. This car is extremely silent on the road and really comfortable. Its size perfectly fits the most common park spaces, making it easy to drive. The luxury finishings mixed with LCD screens make this car special. However, it's important to note that fuel consumption is not the best in high traffic roads and the gear is comfortable for trips but not fast. Additionally, the price is not competitive and many useful accessories remain an expensive extra. Despite these weaknesses, the car has many high points, including its luxury finishings, silent and comfortable ride, and great and classic design that will last for years.

I read another review that really criticizes this RR. However, I must say that I absolutely love my SUV despite a few quirks that need to be ironed out. It feels incredibly solid and stable when driving, which makes me feel safe and secure. Living in a cold climate, heated seats are a must-have, but having a heated steering wheel and heated windshield is a game-changer! I can't imagine living without them. While the app for the remote start is not great, it's not a deal-breaker. If they could work on that or offer an alternate remote start, it would be fantastic. It's true that the tires lose air, but that's common in cold climates with this type of wheel. Just pop into the dealer, and they will fix it. If the brakes get a little salt in them, they can be quite squeaky and howly, which is annoying but common for colder climates. However, those are my only complaints. This SUV is the perfect height off the ground, not too low, not too high. Friends with arthritis cannot say enough about the ease of access. Winter driving? It's awesome, easy, and safe. I would not hesitate to let my kids drive the RR in a snowstorm! The 11-speaker Meridian sound system is amazing, and the back row seats are full-size, not a little kiddy bench. Full-size means a little less legroom, but just pull the front seat up. My two boys, both over 6 feet tall, sit tandem all the time without complaints. Plus, the back seats are heated! Cargo is limited, but still more space than a car. You feel like you are driving a car and not a school bus, which I really appreciate because 90% of the time, it's just me in the car. Overall, I can't say enough about my RR. It was my first RR, and I have been pleasantly surprised. I guess I thought it was a glorified name, but I was wrong!

I am the proud owner of the top-of-the-line 4-door model and I couldn't be happier with this vehicle. The exterior is flawless and the tires still have plenty of life left after 47,000 miles. The ride is incredibly smooth and the acceleration is great for a 2.0 turbo. It's quick up to 120 mph and then the 4-cylinder shows its power. While wind and road noise could be better, it's still impressive. The leather interior is stunning and all the components throughout the cabin are solid and functional. The stereo is amazing with 850 watts and 18 great speakers and a subwoofer, all heard through a Meridian system. It has all the capabilities for any music choices. The navigation is awesome and the off-road capabilities match anything as it is a Land Rover. The heated front and rear glass, heated steering and seats, and all the other features are top-notch. I've owned many brands of vehicles, including Toyota, Chevy, Ford, BMW, Mercedes, Lincoln, Hyundai, and Jaguar, and I can say that this Evoque is as good as any and turns heads of all ages. I am a very satisfied owner. I sold the vehicle in May of 2016 for $32,000.

The engine start and off option can be frustrating as it cannot be turned off due to legal requirements. Additionally, the car can be quite jumpy, especially on hills and slanted streets. After driving for 30 minutes, the suspension can make noise that sounds like rocks underneath the car's tires. Despite contacting the dealer and having them drive the car for 300 miles, they were unable to detect any noise. However, I have captured the noise on camera. Lastly, the audio system leaves much to be desired.

Although the car may look great, it may not be the best investment. In our experience, we had some issues with the car and had to take it to the shop for repairs 10 times in just 23 months of ownership. The last repair was replacing the fuel pump, which took almost a week to locate the parts. The dealership also advised us to keep driving the car with the check engine light illuminated, which was not ideal. We recommend considering other options before purchasing this car.

My wife and I recently purchased this SUV, as it was something she had her heart set on. While I personally preferred the Kia Telluride, which we test drove and found to have superior quality, ride, electronics, comfort, and room, my wife's preference for this brand won out. We do have some concerns about its reliability, as past models have not been rated highly in this regard. I would recommend test driving other SUVs before making a final decision, as we found this one to be overpriced and mediocre. While driving my vehicle, I experienced a loss of engine power and noticed that it was running at a high RPM for a low speed. Unfortunately, the vehicle would not go over 30mph and had to be taken to the shop. After diagnosis, it was discovered that the turbo was blown and needed to be replaced. However, a month later, the same issue occurred and Range Rover Paramus has stated that a new engine is required. Unfortunately, the vehicle is not under warranty at 60,000 miles and the cost of a new engine is 11,000.00. I purchased the vehicle in April and still owe 25,000.00. Since the day of purchase, I have only had possession of the car for about 2 months out of 7. I am disappointed that the dealership is not taking responsibility for this issue. I have contacted the attorney general, BBB, and 7 On Your Side for assistance.

I recently purchased a 2020 plate Land Rover Dynamic S, but unfortunately, I have been experiencing ongoing issues with my car such as lack of power, loud engine noise, and dashboard malfunctions. Despite my disappointment with the level of service from LR, they have been claiming that there isn't a problem with my car. My car has also had issues with sticking in gear and the engine not starting for 40 minutes, which was a frustrating experience. This is my third car from Land Rover, and unfortunately, all of them have had technical issues that never seem to end. I have had to take my car in for repairs around 10 times or more since 2020. Although I won't be purchasing any more cars from LR, I must say that the satnav sends you in a circle twice. The car's issues have been affecting my daily life, and it needs to go back to the dealership again. I'm feeling fed up and tired, and it's really sad that the car's performance is shabby at times, making it feel like I'm driving an old car. LR needs to address the problems customers are having and be honest, especially since these are expensive cars that customers are purchasing from the main dealerships.
