The ERAD system could propel the LRX to speeds up to 20 mph (32 km/h) before the engine was started by an integrated starter generator as part of the stop-start system. ERAD was designed to reduce CO2 emissions by an average of 20% under the NEDC test cycle and was expected to offer another 10% reduction in extra-urban driving situations while also optimizing the off-road ability of the vehicle. Land Rover aimed to achieve 120 g/km CO2 emissions and fuel economy of 60 mpg‑imp (4.7 L/100 km; 50 mpg‑US) on the European combined cycle with an efficient 2.2-litre turbodiesel engine based on PSA DW12. The engine would become the only four-cylinder vehicle in the Range Rover lineup.

The affected vehicles have a front passenger air bag inflator initiator that may fail to ignite during a crash, preventing the air bag from deploying.
- Consequence: In the event of a crash of sufficient severity, the front passenger air bag may not deploy as required, increasing the risk of injury.

The affected vehicles have front lower control arm fasteners that may fail due to an assembly error, possibly resulting in separation of the steering knuckle.
- Consequence: If the fasteners were to fail causing the knuckle to separate, vehicle handling may be affected, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy: Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will replace the hardware that connects the front lower control arm to the knuckle, free of charge. The recall began on January 27, 2017. Congratulations on your purchase of the Evogue! It's great to hear that you've been enjoying it for the past three months. The 2 litre turbo engine sounds like it provides plenty of power when you need it. While the rear window may have a restricted view, it's good to know that you still feel safe while driving. The 9 gear automatic gearbox is impressive, allowing the engine to rev to only 1700 revs at 100kph. The car's handling and turning circle are also noteworthy. The Evoque is showing some wear on the exterior grill and the cabin has more road noise than before. However, overall it still looks good and requires minimal maintenance. The performance is reliable and I have no desire to trade or upgrade.

I absolutely love driving the 2017 Evoque SE that I leased! I took a bit of a gamble by leasing a CPO vehicle with 5500 miles on it from a dealer who had it as a service loaner, but it has performed really well for me on both long and short trips. Depending on the trip, I get different fuel mileage, but I can always expect at least 26 mpg on the highway. Although I did have some maintenance issues with the cooling system, such as slow leaks in some hoses and the radiator, I never got stranded and the CPO package includes roadside assistance. Overall, I'm really happy with my experience and I'm seriously considering purchasing the vehicle at the end of my lease, especially since the new Evoque is quite different from this one.

Let me start by saying how much I love this car! It's super stylish and comfortable, and the design is just wonderful. The vehicle is full of thoughtful additions, and as a daily driver, it really shines. The electronics are workable, but could be improved. Off-road, this car is amazing, and even though it doesn't have a low transfer case, it's extremely capable. However, clearance can be an issue, especially when the car is loaded up with camping equipment. The 4wd system is easy to use and very effective. We've driven it on all kinds of terrain, from mud-ruts to snow, and it's been unbelievable. Now, onto the cons. The cost of ownership is a bit of a letdown, and I suspect this is true for the entire Land Rover/Range Rover range. Unless you're a millionaire with lots of time or someone to look after your cars, you're going to get frustrated. The car always seems to need to go into the shop for something, and getting it serviced is a nightmare. On our last road trip, we had to have it serviced between trips due to a check engine light, and then the light came on again during the second trip. Unfortunately, getting a service appointment took nearly two months, and each service always took way too long. The previous service took a week, and they didn't even look at the vehicle for nearly three days. Overall, though, I still love this car and would recommend it to anyone who can handle the cost of ownership and the occasional service headache.Why not book it in for work when you can fulfill the request in a timely manner? Additionally, the cost can be quite high. If you can average out of service costs for less than $1,000, you are lucky! However, my experience is not unique. I was talking to another owner in particular who really started to make me think about changing. He said, 'When you own a Land Rover/Range Rover, you need to buy two - one for the repair shop while you drive the other and vice versa.'

I had some issues with my HSE from the very beginning. Unfortunately, it was the only vehicle I've ever owned that had engine problems and had to be towed back to the dealer. It even failed on me in the worst possible conditions (-27c). Although the vehicle looks cool and gets compliments, it's unreliable, noisy inside the cabin, and expensive to maintain. I didn't feel comfortable driving it on the highway for routine driving, so I decided to take a loss and switch to a Volvo instead.

After driving 65k miles, we had to change the transmission. Unfortunately, our warranty had ended at 50k. However, we were lucky enough to have an aftermarket warranty. Additionally, we experienced some electrical problems.

While the dealership has been unable to identify any problems, I have found numerous reports online of similar issues. I have always admired Land Rover as a brand, but unfortunately my dream SUV turned out to be my worst nightmare and biggest disappointment in the automobile industry. As an avid car fanatic, I have had the pleasure of owning and leasing most of the high-end vehicles in the market, from Mercedes Benz to BMW to Lexus, both in sedans and SUVs. Until I decided that I was able and comfortable enough to finally afford my first Land Rover product, the 2015 Range Rover Evoque Pure Plus (5-door). However, after driving it home, I decided to google the reliability of the vehicle and was disappointed to find that under Consumer Reports, all reviews were one star and the horror stories were too much to mention from all over the world. People were just devastated with their experiences, a true car buyer's nightmare. Despite the gorgeous full glass roof and one of the most impressive infotainment systems I've ever seen, the vehicle had a lot of issues, from engine stallings to sudden braking at high speeds causing driver and passenger injuries, to constant check engine lights and other notifications of malfunctioning all over the cluster. The treatments by the dealerships were also disconcerting, to the point where they said to a particular owner, 'Well, we can't do anything else for you... contact Land Rover.' After coming across these unexpected and disappointing horror stories, I decided to return the Evoque just today, 3/2/2016, on the fifth day, and I was fortunate enough that the dealership has a five-day return/cancel or exchange policy.So I got my 2014 Mercedes Benz E350 back (Luckily again it had not been sold yet) got my title back and rushed home. I was one of the lucky ones. I'm disappointed with the LAND ROVER and JAGUAR brand for selling rats wrapped in minks. Shame on them.
