2015 Land rover Range rover evoque problems

The Land Rover Range Rover Evoque, also known as the Range Rover Evoque, is a subcompact luxury crossover SUV developed and produced by Jaguar Land Rover under their Land Rover marque. The original Evoque was a development of the Land Rover LRX concept vehicle, which was unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in January 2008. The first generation Evoque was produced from July 2011 until 2018 in three and five-door versions, with both two-wheel and four-wheel drive. The second generation of the car went into production in 2018.
First generation (L538; 2011)
Development
The size of the LRX concept vehicle complemented a wide array of efficiency-improving technologies in the form of Land Rover's e_Terrain technologies. These included biofuel compatibility, lightweight construction materials, and technologies such as the removable carbon composite roof panels, regenerative brakes, a stop-start system, along with the ERAD (electric rear axle drive) parallel hybrid powertrain system.
ERAD system
The ERAD system could propel the LRX to speeds up to 20 mph (32 km/h) before the engine was started by an integrated starter generator as part of the stop-start system. ERAD was designed to reduce CO2 emissions by an average of 20% under the NEDC test cycle and was expected to offer another 10% reduction in extra-urban driving situations while also optimizing the off-road ability of the vehicle. Land Rover aimed to achieve 120 g/km CO2 emissions and fuel economy of 60 mpg‑imp (4.7 L/100 km; 50 mpg‑US) on the European combined cycle with an efficient 2.2-litre turbodiesel engine based on PSA DW12. The engine would become the only four-cylinder vehicle in the Range Rover lineup.

Common 2015 Land rover Range rover evoque problems
Based on complaints from owners of the 2015 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque, several common problems have been reported:
- Start-Stop System Failure:
- The eco button in the Evoque's start-stop system occasionally fails to function, preventing the vehicle from starting even after depressing the gas pedal at a stoplight. This issue is attributed to a low charge in the secondary battery, leading to starting problems.
- Powertrain Issues:
- Owners have reported poor gearshifts, abrupt power loss, and stalling of the vehicle. These issues were linked to a manufacturing defect in the turbocharger, causing the vehicle to stall. The check engine light flashing was a common indicator of this problem.
- Front Bumper Cracks:
- Some owners experienced cracks in the front bumper near the fender, likely due to heat or tension from the headlights. This not only poses a safety risk but also necessitates bumper replacement to maintain the vehicle's integrity.
- Fuel Inlet Design Flaw:
- A design flaw in the gas tank opening causes the fuel handle to stop pumping fuel prematurely, leading to multiple attempts to fill the tank. This issue can result in fuel overflow, posing a fire hazard if there is a nearby heat source or spark.
- Door Latch Malfunction:
- Users reported difficulties in unlocking the driver's door from the outside using the key fob, necessitating manual unlocking from the inside. The recommendation was to replace the door locks to address this inconvenience.
These problems highlight various mechanical and design issues that owners of the 2015 Range Rover Evoque have encountered. Addressing these issues promptly is crucial to ensure the safety, performance, and longevity of the vehicle.

The Evoque is a really enjoyable car to drive. It has a great look both inside and out. The ride is comfortable for the most part, although it struggles with larger bumps. It's a fantastic handling SUV. In mixed driving, I get around 21 miles per gallon, although the on-board computer claims it's 23. The transmission has 9 speeds, and while it can take a moment to find the right gear in comfort mode, it's much more responsive in sport mode. The paddle shifters work really well. While I wouldn't recommend it as a family SUV due to its size, it's perfect for just one person or a couple. The panoramic sunroof is a fantastic feature, especially at night or when the weather is cooler. The stereo and navigation controls could use some improvement as they can be slow to react to touch. However, the climate system is excellent. Overall, after a month and a thousand miles, I'm really happy with the Evoque. While it could use some updates in the electronics department and better gas mileage, I just love driving it!

Hey there! Thanks for sharing your experience. If you're looking for a new vehicle, I would suggest shopping around a bit. I personally had a great experience at a dealership that was more than an hour and a half away from where I live. The difference in treatment was amazing! Overall, the vehicle is great to drive. I previously owned an LR2 before purchasing my Evoque and I haven't had any serious issues. Although, my 2 wheel traction lights have come on a couple of times while driving and caused the vehicle to slow down to a stop. Unfortunately, the Land Rover dealership near me hasn't been able to find out what the issue is. But, I still think it's a nice vehicle overall. Let me know if you have any questions!

The 2014 Evoque underwent its first service, during which the dealer replaced a faulty fuel injector and ordered a new upper console. Although the parts are taking some time to arrive from England, I am confident that the dealer will resolve the periodic loss of power, dome light, and sunglasses holder issues. I appreciate the thorough attention to detail and expertise of the dealer in addressing these concerns.

I recently purchased a brand new Range Rover Evoque from this dealership, but unfortunately, the vehicle had a faulty and unsafe transmission. Despite the dealership replacing the transmission with less than 10,000 miles on the vehicle, the problem persisted and even worsened after the vehicle was returned to me on a couple of occasions. While under warranty, the dealership informed me that there was nothing else they could do to repair the vehicle, which was very disappointing. I reached out to the CEO, Ralf Speth, but unfortunately, I did not receive a response. I also discovered that this manufacturer had a rating of ‘No Rating’ by the Better Business Bureau. Although things may go wrong with a vehicle, it is important to receive the expected treatment that is comparable to the situation. If you would like to follow this true story, you can check out my blog at: https://myvehicleexperience.com. However, this dealership does not participate in the Consumer Report Annual Customer Satisfaction Survey. In a later blog post, I will cover their response as to why they do not participate. Purchasing a car is one of the biggest decisions you will make in your lifetime, so it's important to do your research. After experiencing a problem with my vehicle, I contacted the dealership for assistance. Although it was not their normal protocol, I was told to contact the corporate office. Despite my persistence, the corporate office only offered a proposed agreement that did not address the issues they promised to resolve. Unfortunately, I am still in possession of a defective vehicle that is still under warranty. I would not recommend purchasing a vehicle from this dealership or company. It's not just the defective vehicle, but also the unpleasant experience of dealing with the process to resolve the issue. Don't take any chances, use your power of choice and do your research to support your decision. Recently, I received a notification from this company about a widespread transmission issue that occurred after the warranty expired. If you would like to view the notification, I have posted it at www.myvehicleexperience.com. The company is offering three different options to the owners, but there is a catch - you have to sign the notification and return it.And with the customer's signature in tow, the company is relieved of any liability. However, I understand your frustration with this approach. It seems as though the company is not taking responsibility for the transmission problem, which is concerning. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

I bought my Evoque brand new in February 2015. Since then, it has had a software update (at 1200 miles) to improve transmission performance. Unfortunately, the check engine light came on at around 2K miles due to a faulty sensor that took several days to repair because the part was unavailable. On August 1st, while in traffic, the transmission froze up and the vehicle rapidly decelerated with the dashboard warning indicating 'Gear Box Failure', resulting in the vehicle being towed. Land Rover corporate claims they have since resolved the problem with another software update, however, I have not had the opportunity to drive the car yet, 33 days later. While the dealership was addressing another issue - freeze up problem with the touch screen interface - the computer module blew out. After 33 days, the part has finally come in. Although the vehicle gets good mileage when working, the transmission is very sluggish in the lower gears, and power is very limited from a stop position, which makes pulling out into traffic a challenge. I would love to recommend this vehicle, but the amount of problems and poor transmission and acceleration make this a poor and hazardous vehicle to own. I have never experienced a new vehicle with so many issues in such a short period. Land Rover Corporate's attitude has been less than overwhelming. I am extremely disappointed in the vehicle and the corporation.

The Bluetooth feature in this car has been problematic for me. Despite multiple visits to the dealer and changing my phone, the issue persists. While the dealership has been unable to identify any problems, I have found numerous reports online of similar issues. As someone who conducts a significant portion of my business over the phone, this situation is unacceptable.

I have always admired Land Rover as a brand, but unfortunately my dream SUV turned out to be my worst nightmare and biggest disappointment in the automobile industry. As an avid car fanatic, I have had the pleasure of owning and leasing most of the high-end vehicles in the market, from Mercedes Benz to BMW to Lexus, both in sedans and SUVs. Until I decided that I was able and comfortable enough to finally afford my first Land Rover product, the 2015 Range Rover Evoque Pure Plus (5-door). However, after driving it home, I decided to google the reliability of the vehicle and was disappointed to find that under Consumer Reports, all reviews were one star and the horror stories were too much to mention from all over the world. People were just devastated with their experiences, a true car buyer's nightmare. Despite the gorgeous full glass roof and one of the most impressive infotainment systems I've ever seen, the vehicle had a lot of issues, from engine stallings to sudden braking at high speeds causing driver and passenger injuries, to constant check engine lights and other notifications of malfunctioning all over the cluster. The treatments by the dealerships were also disconcerting, to the point where they said to a particular owner, 'Well, we can't do anything else for you... contact Land Rover.' After coming across these unexpected and disappointing horror stories, I decided to return the Evoque just today, 3/2/2016, on the fifth day, and I was fortunate enough that the dealership has a five-day return/cancel or exchange policy. So I got my 2014 Mercedes Benz E350 back (Luckily again it had not been sold yet) got my title back and rushed home. I was one of the lucky ones. I'm disappointed with the LAND ROVER and JAGUAR brand for selling rats wrapped in minks. Shame on them.
