2022 Jaguar F-pace problems

The Jaguar F-Pace (X761) is a compact luxury crossover SUV made by Jaguar Land Rover, a British car manufacturer, under their Jaguar marque. It is the first model to be built by Jaguar in the SUV class. It was formally announced at the 2015 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, with sales commencing in 2016 following an unveiling at the 2015 International Motor Show Germany in Frankfurt.
The design of the F-Pace is based on the 2013 Jaguar C-X17 concept car. The 2017 Jaguar F-Pace has been named the honorary winner of the 2017 World Car of the Year and World Car Design of the Year Awards at the New York International Auto Show. The F-Pace is built at Jaguar Land Rover's Solihull plant along with the Range Rover Velar and employs an additional 1,300 workers.

Customer deliveries started in April 2016 in Europe, and in May 2016 in the United States. The car made its official public début at the September 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. Ahead of the Frankfurt Motor Show, an F-Pace, driven by professional stunt driver Terry Grant, performed a world-record-breaking 360 degree loop-the-loop.

Common 2022 Jaguar F-pace problems
The Jaguar F-Pace, a luxury SUV produced by Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), has faced several common problems based on complaints from owners of the 2022 model. These issues include:
- Turbocharger Issues (2.0 Diesel): Turbocharger problems have also been reported in the 2.0 diesel engine. These issues can lead to reduced performance and fuel efficiency, as well as potential engine damage if not addressed promptly.
- Crankshaft Failure (3.0 V6 Diesel): Crankshaft failures have been reported in the 3.0 V6 diesel engine. This issue can result in catastrophic engine failure, necessitating extensive and costly repairs.
- Water Pump Failure (3.0 Supercharged): Water pump failures have been reported in the 3.0 supercharged engine. This issue can lead to overheating and potential engine damage if not addressed promptly.
- Electric Power Steering Fault: A significant number of Jaguar F-Pace owners have reported issues with the electric power steering system. This problem is often caused by water ingress into the electric steering motor, which can render the car undrivable. Replacement motors are supplied with a new steering rack, and some owners have reported needing to replace their steering motor multiple times.
- Supply Chain Issues: JLR has faced supply chain issues, including the reconfiguration of its UK parts supply network from 18 warehouses to one 'super centre'. This change resulted in thousands of vehicles being off the road awaiting replacement parts, with some owners reporting waiting times of several months for repairs.
These issues highlight the importance of thorough research and understanding potential problems before purchasing a vehicle. While the Jaguar F-Pace offers luxury and performance, these common problems should be considered when evaluating the overall value and reliability of this SUV.

This car is really underrated! It's quick, handles great, and has plenty of room for two kids and all their stuff. Getting them in and out of car seats is a breeze, and the car is at the perfect level for loading and unloading. Plus, it's super comfortable on the highway with minimal road noise, and gets around 27 mpg. I absolutely love the steering wheel and stiffer suspension that make it feel like you're driving a sports car. The touchscreen is huge and works really well, and the car is covered by an excellent warranty for peace of mind. The only minor gripes I have are that the heated/ventilated seats are accessed only through the touchscreen (although there is a physical button to shortcut to this section), and occasionally on startup the touchscreen responds a little slowly (although restarting the vehicle, much like a cell phone restart, seems to resolve it). Overall, this is an excellent crossover!

Congratulations on your new 2020 SVR F Pace! It's great to hear that you're enjoying driving it and that it has exceeded your expectations. The ride is fantastic and the muffler option adds a nice touch. It's wonderful to hear that you also purchased the f type convertible R model, which you find to be the best Mercedes hands down. Your recommendation for this SUV is highly appreciated and I'm sure it will be helpful for anyone who is considering purchasing it. Thank you for sharing your positive experience!

There is no doubt that this car is the gem of its class. It has the best look of them all, the S version is powerful and fun to drive, and the SVR even blows away the Cayenne turbo! And, it has the best warranty of them all with full maintenance included. You would be crazy not to take a close look at this car! Customer service is also better than BMW, Mercedes, and Porsche. It's an easy decision...

This vehicle has exceeded all of my expectations. It is an absolute joy to drive, with impressive fuel economy and responsive power. The F-Pace is a true testament to Jaguar's engineering prowess. Despite some issues with the dealership and service department, I can confidently say that the car itself is still great. The safety standards are top notch, as evidenced by my experience hitting a deer at 60mph. The car crumbled exactly how it was designed to, keeping me and my passengers safe. Overall, I am proud to have owned the F-Pace and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and high-performing vehicle. To ensure comprehensive coverage and protection, it is highly recommended to invest in full coverage and new car replacement insurance for this brand. In my personal experience, a deer caused significant damage to my vehicle, resulting in roughly 20k in damages before the insurance adjuster assessed it. It is important to note that the hood had not even been opened at this point. While I miss my great car dearly, I learned the valuable lesson of obtaining the longest extended warranty possible and adequate insurance.

In the first two weeks of owning the vehicle, I experienced some issues with the battery and the radiator fan. However, the battery was promptly replaced by the service department. Currently, the fan runs continuously and the check engine light has come on. Despite these challenges, I am confident that the service department will be able to address these issues and provide me with a loaner vehicle if necessary. I am hopeful that these problems will be resolved soon and I can continue to enjoy my lease.

This brand of car and dealership should be avoided at all costs. In August 2022, I purchased a 2022 Jaguar Fpace with zero miles. However, just two months later, the car began making strange noises and rattles, and the driver's seat was also problematic. Despite leaving the car for warranty repairs, it took the dealership five days to 'fix' the issue, only for the same problems to reoccur the very next day. After multiple attempts to repair the car, it became clear that there were multiple rattles and issues with various parts of the car. The car was in the workshop for almost a month, during which time it was diagnosed with problems with the steering wheel airbag, rear seat belts, and mismatched parts. Despite being told that everything was finally fixed, the noises returned within 24 hours. It is clear that this dealership lacks the necessary expertise to repair cars effectively. The repeated repairs to my brand new car have been a frustrating and disappointing experience. Despite changing several vital parts, including safety features such as airbags and seat belts, the problem persists and the car remains in the shop. It is unacceptable for a luxury car to have such issues, and I am disappointed in the lack of accountability and responsibility shown by the mechanics and staff. I urge others to consider these issues before purchasing a Jaguar. My experience has been far from luxurious and I cannot recommend this brand.

The seats in a premium Jaguar F-Pace are made of pleather, which is disappointing for a luxury car with such a high MSRP, especially considering that the premium 25t is not their basic model. Even the steering wheel has the same material, which can make it sound like you are rubbing plastic while driving. I also looked at their prestige model, and although it had leather seats, the steering wheel material was the same. It seems that you are paying more for the brand than for the vehicle interior. Additionally, you have to add features that are now basic in cars, which boosts the price to close to $60,000. However, negotiating with the dealer on the MSRP or selling price is difficult, as they are mainly interested in knowing how much your monthly payment can be. If you can't pay $600 or more, there is nothing they will do. Despite the disappointing interior, I loved the exterior of the car. It would be great if Jaguar made leather standard in all their vehicles. Maybe in another generation for me! Overall, the asking price is not worth it.

The vehicle handles well and accelerates nicely. However, I was not particularly impressed with the standard options when compared to other vehicles of the same caliber.

The dealership lacked experience and knowledge about the F-Pace, which left me feeling very unhappy. In my opinion, the F-Pace is overpriced for what it offers. As a result, we returned the vehicle and purchased a much nicer and better-equipped XT5 for a similar price. Our sales representative, Don, was helpful throughout the process.
