2004 Chrysler Sebring problems
The Chrysler Sebring (/ˈsiːbrɪŋ/ SEE-bring) is a line of mid-size automobiles that was sold from 1995 through 2010 by Chrysler. Three generations of convertibles, two generations of sedans, and two generations of coupes were produced. Although the coupe shared the same name and some styling cues, it was mechanically unrelated to the other Sebring models.
The Sebring line was introduced in 1995 with the Chrysler Sebring coupe. It was the replacement for the Chrysler LeBaron coupe. In 1996 the convertible was introduced, replacing its LeBaron counterpart as well. For 2001, both body styles were redesigned and a sedan version was offered, replacing the Chrysler Cirrus. The coupe was discontinued after 2005 with no replacement model planned.
The redesigned sedan was introduced for 2007, and a convertible the following year. New options included all-wheel drive on sedans and an available retractable metal top for the convertible. All Sebring models were replaced by the Chrysler 200 for the 2011 model year.

- Manufacturer: Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc.
- Components: AIR BAGS:FRONTAL:PASSENGER SIDE:INFLATOR MODULE
- Summary: Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) is recalling certain model year 2000-2005 Eclipse vehicles manufactured April 5, 1999, to December 17, 2004, 2001-2005 Eclipse Spyder vehicles manufactured January 19, 2000, to March 18, 2005, 2001-2005 Chrysler Sebring vehicles manufactured April 17, 2000, to February 21, 2005, and 2001-2005 Dodge Stratus vehicles manufactured April 17, 2000, to February 22, 2005. It's been trouble-free since I got it. It has all the latest gadgets, good mileage, and comfortable acceleration. For its price, I would definitely put it up against any car. This is my first Chrysler, and I must say it's of great quality. I couldn't keep quiet about my car any longer. When others have problems, I wonder if they got a lemon or didn't take care of it.
-
For a sporty convertible. My 2004 Sebring is my retirement baby to travel the countryside. I'm 63, and I've always wanted one. Finally, I have one, and I'm loving it. How fun is that? Sporty Granny!
-
Wow, you've found a real gem! This car is an absolute steal when compared to others in its class. Plus, it's a joy to drive!
-
The car has been a great experience so far. It has excellent price, fuel economy, handling, comfort, and braking. I have had no problems with it even after driving it for 35,000 miles and getting 30mpg. Despite its simple roots, it surprises me with its response. I was initially worried that it would be a comedown from my previous 320hp Z-28 convertible, but it exceeds in all categories except for straight line acceleration and hard all-out cornering (as one might expect). The front-wheel-drive torque steer takes a little getting used to, but most drivers won't even notice it or may even appreciate it in everyday driving.
-
Looking for a convertible that won't break the bank? Look no further than the Sebring! With all the features of the Saab 930 and Volvo C70 convertibles, plus room for two adults in the rear seat, this car is a steal at half the price. From the heated seats to the dual radio steering controls, the Sebring delivers interior genius. The exterior is sure to turn heads at every corner, with a redesigned front fascia that's even better looking than the Ford T-bird. And don't worry about noise - the cloth top is extremely quiet and well-built. I've even had the top down with outside temps as low as 45F, and with the seat warmers and heat on, it was great! Why not test drive this car tomorrow and see for yourself?

I have owned this car for six months and it has been running smoothly until recently when the oil light started coming on. Despite having an extended warranty that was supposed to cover everything, it did not cover the issue with the bad oil pressure sensor. However, I took it to the Nissan dealer where I purchased it and they took it to a Chrysler dealer who replaced the sensor and did an oil flush and change, free of charge. Although the fog lights stopped working, I am confident that any further issues will be resolved. Despite these minor setbacks, this car still looks great and runs smoothly, with a V6 engine that provides good mileage.

I hope you're doing well! I wanted to share my experience with the little car I bought. Overall, it's been a comfortable and efficient ride with good performance and great MPG. However, it's not exactly what I had in mind for a sporty convertible. I have noticed a few minor issues such as a rattling driver's window, intermittent radio, and some transmission fluid drips after 54K miles. While the build quality could be better, I have found it to be a dependable car overall.

I purchased this car in August, however, I am extremely dissatisfied with it. The car appears to be of low quality both inside and out, and the engine produces an unpleasant noise when accelerating. Additionally, the brakes feel cheap.

We purchased a car that appeared to be in good condition, with beautiful looks and a great interior. However, the engine failed just 900 miles after purchase. Despite checking consumer reports that gave a 4.5 rating and did not indicate any engine problems, we later discovered through online research that there have been thousands of complaints about the 2.7 engine and safety issues, and that Chrysler has not taken responsibility for the defective engine. It is concerning that this information is hidden from consumers and that these units are still being sold to unsuspecting buyers.

Next month will mark a year since I got the car. Unfortunately, two weeks after I got it, the check engine light came on and I found out it was the purge valve. To make matters worse, every time it rains, there is a flood on the driver's side floorboard that extends from the front to the back seat. The dealership doesn't want to honor my warranty, so it will cost me more to have them find out the problem. I have decided to trade it in as soon as possible since it has been more trouble than it's worth.
