2010 Chrysler Sebring problems
The Chrysler Sebring (/ˈsiːbrɪŋ/ SEE-bring) is a line of mid-size automobiles that was sold from 1995 through 2010 by Chrysler. Three generations of convertibles, two generations of sedans, and two generations of coupes were produced. Although the coupe shared the same name and some styling cues, it was mechanically unrelated to the other Sebring models.
The Sebring line was introduced in 1995 with the Chrysler Sebring coupe. It was the replacement for the Chrysler LeBaron coupe. In 1996 the convertible was introduced, replacing its LeBaron counterpart as well. For 2001, both body styles were redesigned and a sedan version was offered, replacing the Chrysler Cirrus. The coupe was discontinued after 2005 with no replacement model planned.
The redesigned sedan was introduced for 2007, and a convertible the following year. New options included all-wheel drive on sedans and an available retractable metal top for the convertible. All Sebring models were replaced by the Chrysler 200 for the 2011 model year.

- Summary: The driver seat has a part that wears out and causes the power seat to move forward and backward on its slide track. eventually the part will fail and the seat will slide right into the steering wheel which will impact the drivers chest. The power seat has two acme threaded rods that drive the seat rails forward/ backwards to allow driver to adjust the seat. the acme rods drive a custom screw block to allow the motion. when in static position only the screw block holds the seat and stops it from moving forward and backward. from what i can observe the acme rod is case hardened but the screw block is not. the screw block seems to wear out prematurely after four years. if left unaddressed the screw block could fail completely and allow the seat and passenger to hit the steering wheel while braking or in a front end collisdion.

I purchased my Sebring at a promotional price advertised in the newspaper and have been extremely satisfied with it for the past 6 years. Despite being a base model, it has everything I need and still looks brand new. It handles well and gets decent gas mileage at around 25mpg. Although I had some issues with the passenger door catch and AC control, they were easily fixed and did not affect the overall reliability of the car. With over 150k miles on it, it is still running strong and looks great aside from a few minor dings. I am now aiming to reach 200k miles or more before considering a new car. The only minor issue I have experienced is occasional trouble with the transmission downshifting in first gear, but it has not been a major concern. Overall, I highly recommend the Sebring for its reliability and practicality.

I absolutely love my Sebring! Although I wasn't a fan of convertibles before, this car has won me over. It drives so smoothly and has decent pick up. The exterior is sharp and the interior, while simple, is very comfortable. Plus, I got a great deal on it - under $14k during the cash for clunkers/double rebate from Chrysler. I'm not sure if I would have paid $20k for it, but only time will tell.

Sebring is a fantastic car! It rides smoothly, has adequate power, and a beautiful interior. The light tan leather seats are absolutely wonderful. The exterior is also very nice, and you can expect a fuel mileage ranging from 23 city to 33 hwy with 4 passengers and luggage. Overall, this is an excellent car!

I just bought a 2009 Chrysler Sebring with about 180,000 miles. The motor is clean, clean, clean, and it runs like a champ - perfect, perfect, perfect! Thank you, God, and thank you, Jesus!

Decent car, not expensive, and it drives and looks great. It's perfect for driving to the beach, the lake, or anywhere!

I have driven both this model and the one it replaces, and I have noticed that while the usability has improved, the quality seems to have gone down. In my opinion, this car is not up to par with other American cars. Perhaps Chrysler should consider making some improvements. The drive quality, comfort, and build are all lacking. Additionally, the plastic on the inside appears to have been painted with cheap rattle can paint, which chips off easily. The top can be difficult to operate, and the heater is not very consistent. The seats are uncomfortable, and there is no back seat. I would not recommend purchasing this car.

What can I say about this car? I liked its looks and it drives well, but there are a few design flaws. The exterior has some odd features, like the fake window addition on the rear panel and the top of the door frames. The glass could have been taller. As for the interior, the layout is good, but the materials used are cheap and the plastic sandpaper panels are not very appealing. It's a shame that there are no gray interiors available, as the current options are a bit boring and dated. Overall, the Sonata is a much better choice.

Hi there! I hope you're doing well. I wanted to share my experience with my Sebring that I bought in February as a 2010 leftover. Although I got it for a good price, I've been having some issues with it, including poor gas mileage. Despite having a 4 cyl engine and being rated 21 city 30 hwy, I've been getting only 20 mpg at best on the highway. I've reached out to the dealer's service department several times regarding this issue, and have taken it in, but unfortunately, they haven't been able to find anything wrong with it. They suggested that it might be the way I'm driving. I even wrote to Chrysler Corp, but they told me the same thing. I'm a bit disappointed with my experience, and I'm not sure if I would purchase another Chrysler in the future.

At 88000 miles, the car required a new radio in dash for $1500, trunk lifts for $182, catalytic converters for $2000, and a new air conditioner compressor for $700. Despite its attractive appearance, the car has been unreliable and has required significant repairs. Unfortunately, even the power seat motor on the driver's side failed on the day of the trade-in.

I was provided with this car as a company vehicle and have been driving it for three weeks now, covering 1300 miles. Unfortunately, I have already had to replace a tail lamp bulb and the engine light is now on. While the interior looks nice, the seats take some getting used to and the materials used are not of the highest quality. The engine in my vehicle is the 2.7 V6, which is unrefined and sluggish compared to other V6 engines. The gas mileage is average for a vehicle of this size. My company had a choice between this car and the new Taurus. Although the Sebring is less expensive, the Taurus is bigger, more powerful, and better built. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for.
