Maintaining this theme was the Toyota Tiara (1960) named after the "tiara" form of crown. The Atara trim level name used on the Camry in Australia since 2011 means "crown" in Hebrew. The rebadged Camry variant for Japan, the Toyota Scepter (1991)—took its name from "scepter", a royal accessory to a crown.

- Summary: Southeast Toyota Distributors, LLC (SET) is recalling certain models interspersed through model years 2009 through 2013 as follows: model year 2009-2012 Tacoma, 4Runner, Camry, Camry Hybrid, Prius, and RAV4; model year 2009-2010 Avalon, FJ Cruiser, and Highlander Hybrid; model year 2010-2013 model year Corolla, Sienna and Tundra; model year 2009-2013 Highlander and Venza; model year 2012 Prius V; and model year 2010-2012 Sequoia. During modification by SET to include accessories such as leather seat covers, seat heaters or headrest DVD systems, these vehicles may not have had the passenger seat occupant sensing system calibration tested. - Consequence: If the front passenger seat occupant sensing system is out of calibration, the front passenger airbags may not deploy or they may deploy inappropriately for the passenger's size and position. This could increase the risk of personal injury during the event of a vehicle crash necessitating airbag deployment.
- Remedy: Southeast Toyota will notify owners, and dealers will test the sensitivity of the occupant detection sensors, and recalibrate them as necessary. The recall began on March 21, 2013. Owners may contact Southeast Toyota at 1-800-301-6859.

We went with the hybrid instead of the LE due to the significant difference in city MPG, which is around 12-13. We have been pleasantly surprised with the MPG readout on the dash, which encourages us to drive with a soft pedal. We have already taken three minor road trips and used it in the city, and we have averaged an impressive 39-40 MPG. The car is smooth, quiet, and comfortable, which is typical of Toyota's quality. Overall, it's a great car!

I recently upgraded my car from a 2003 Camry LE to a 2010 TCH and I'm really impressed with the difference. The 2010 TCH is much quieter and smoother, and I'm loving the Bluetooth and upgraded audio features. The fuel economy is exactly what I was hoping for, and I'm already seeing great results. On my first tank of gas, the onboard computer showed an average of 34.1 mpg, but I suspected the tank wasn't completely full. On my second tank, I averaged 38.5 mpg according to the onboard computer and 38.7 mpg according to my manual calculation. I'm sure I'll continue to improve my efficiency as I get more used to driving the car.

The 2010 Toyota Camry Hybrid is definitely worth your money. It has excellent mileage, runs smoothly, and provides sufficient power. Although the leather seats may be a little rigid, overall, this car provides excellent value for your money.

Hey there! I hope you're doing well. I just wanted to share my experience with my 2010 Camry Hybrid (used) that I bought a little over a year ago. I'm happy to say that it's been running smoothly and I haven't had any issues with it. In fact, I've put on about 15,000 miles, including a long drive from Toronto to Florida and back, and it held up great! One of the things that really drew me to this car was the spacious interior. As someone who is 6'4'' and has a son who is 6'6'', we tried out a lot of mid-size cars, but this one had the most room (although the trunk could be a bit bigger!). The electric driver's seat is also a huge plus for taller drivers. We were able to get over 40 mpg on our Florida trip without even trying too hard. And while it's not meant to be a sporty car, it's definitely comfortable and gets the job done. Thanks for listening!

We owned this car for 8 years and it was one of the most reliable cars we've ever driven. Maintenance was rare, routine, and inexpensive, even after the warranty ended. The car never broke down, and all parts worked perfectly. We even drove it through a very flooded road once, perhaps a foot and a half of water, and it still functioned fine. The interior held up well over time and was packed with technology, even at its price point. The only issue we encountered with the Toyota was that it lost horsepower over time. This made it a bit unsettling to drive on the highway, mainly because it lacked the pickup to get out of sticky situations. Also, for a hybrid, it was only getting around 35 miles per gallon in mixed driving. However, we sold it in 2019 for $8,000. Would I recommend you buy this car? Absolutely. It's reliable, budget-friendly, safe, full of decent technology for its time, and comfortable. The only thing to keep in mind is highway performance. If that's not a major concern for you, then you shouldn't worry at all.

Although the initial experience with my new hybrid has not been as comfortable as my previous Camry SE, I am pleased with the mileage it provides. I am confident that with time, I will become more accustomed to the ride and the car's unique features.
