- Consequence: If the front passenger seat occupant sensing system is out of calibration, the front passenger airbags may not deploy or they may deploy inappropriately for the passenger's size and position. This could increase the risk of personal injury during the event of a vehicle crash necessitating airbag deployment.
- Remedy: Southeast Toyota will notify owners, and dealers will test the sensitivity of the occupant detection sensors, and recalibrate them as necessary. The recall began on March 21, 2013. Owners may contact Southeast Toyota at 1-800-301-6859.

We owned this car for 8 years and it was one of the most reliable cars we've ever driven. Maintenance was rare, routine, and inexpensive, even after the warranty ended. The car never broke down, and all parts worked perfectly. We even drove it through a very flooded road once, perhaps a foot and a half of water, and it still functioned fine. The interior held up well over time and was packed with technology, even at its price point. The only issue we encountered with the Toyota was that it lost horsepower over time. This made it a bit unsettling to drive on the highway, mainly because it lacked the pickup to get out of sticky situations. Also, for a hybrid, it was only getting around 35 miles per gallon in mixed driving. However, we sold it in 2019 for $8,000. Would I recommend you buy this car? Absolutely. It's reliable, budget-friendly, safe, full of decent technology for its time, and comfortable. The only thing to keep in mind is highway performance. If that's not a major concern for you, then you shouldn't worry at all.

I am thrilled about my first hybrid. I absolutely love this car! It is incredibly comfortable and exciting to drive. The unique green mica color always gets people talking. Plus, the mileage is simply amazing. And to top it off, this is my first Toyota.

I've only owned the TCH for two days, but I'm already impressed with its comfortable driver's and passenger seats and solid ride. The pick-up is robust and on par with my '05 Avalon, which, by the way, is smaller overall in car length and width than the 2010 CH. The leather and appointments inside are first class, and the navigation system registers version 9.1. I plan to check if this CH Nav system is the same as Lexus' Nav, as I've been told by the Toyota dealer. The back leg room is ample, and the car has a good feel and look when driving. As a short-time owner, I have limited opinions, but both my wife and I really like the car.
