The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has issued 4 recalls for different components of the 2008 Lexus Gs 350.
- Manufacturer: Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing
- Components: FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:HOSES, LINES/PIPING, AND FITTINGS
- Summary: Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2007-2011 Lexus GS350 and GS450h, 2006-2013 Lexus IS350 and 2010-2014 Lexus IS350C vehicles, equipped with 3.5L V6 2GR-FSE gasoline engines. The diaphragms in the fuel pulsation dampers may harden over time and develop cracks, possibly causing a fuel leak.
- Consequence: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.
- Remedy: Toyota will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuel delivery pipe with a new pipe that has improved pulsation dampers, free of charge. The recall began August 23, 2018. Owners may contact Lexus customer service at 1-800-255-3987. Toyota's number for this recall is JLF.
- Manufacturer: Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing

As a proud owner of a 2007 GS350, I can confidently say that this car has exceeded my expectations. Despite some minor quality control issues that I have experienced, such as the side view mirrors and memory positions for the passenger front seat requiring replacement, the car has been trouble-free mechanically. Although these repairs have been a nuisance, they have not affected my overall satisfaction with the car. In fact, I am so impressed with the Lexus brand that I am not sure I can consider any other manufacturer once my lease is up.

You are unable to use the navigation system while the car is in motion, even if there is a passenger in the front seat. It would be helpful if the navigation system could detect the presence of a passenger, just like the airbags do. Although I personally believe that the driver should be able to use the navigation system while driving, I understand the safety concerns. However, pulling over on the side of the highway is not always the safest option.

I drive approximately 2200 miles per month. I was looking for a car with better mileage than my SUV and compared the MB E350, Acura RL, Infiniti M35, and the E320 CDI. Although I had some experience with Toyota products in the past, I kept an open mind. I highly recommend the GS 350. On my first trip, I drove 225 miles and got an impressive 26.5 MPG.

I've only had my GS 350 for a few days, but driving it is an absolute pleasure. The acceleration is excellent, handling is very good, and the seats are comfortable. The sound system is superb, which adds to the overall experience. Although, I was a bit disappointed with the navi, Bluetooth, and lack of XM radio. I previously owned two Acura TLs, both of which were fine cars. However, I wanted a smooth ride with some power, and the GS 350 certainly delivers that. Despite the negatives, the positives are so many that it makes this car a joy to drive.

I've had the GS for two weeks now and just got back from Williamsburg, Virginia. This car is really fun to drive and feels rock solid on the road. Although the roofline is low and I've bumped my head a few times (I'm 5'8''), the car is still comfortable to drive. I have Black Saffire with Beige interior and it gets lots of looks. I'm definitely planning on buying another one when I trade again.

I replaced my BMW 7 with this car because it's basically a Toyota with an L. I've had it for a little over a year and have never had any issues with it. Although it doesn't compare to a BMW or BENZ, both of which I've owned, I got tired of the high repair costs on the Beamer that drove me to this car. It's a very well-made car with tons of cool tech stuff that I'm too busy to learn about. However, if you're used to BMW or BENZ, this car has a lot more road noise. I ended up just living with it because it's super reliable. In fact, we traded my wife's M-roadster for a Lexus 400 and love that car too.

The car has some noticeable issues such as a squeaky dash, occasional coolant smell, and a sulfur smell from the exhaust when the windows are down in the summer. Despite being a nice car, the price and frequency of these issues make it difficult for me to recommend. Additionally, I have found that Lexus dealerships can be dismissive when approached with these issues. Overall, I believe there is room for improvement in both the car and the customer service provided by Lexus.

I have been to the shop 4 times already and have noticed several issues with my vehicle. The rear view mirror vibrates excessively, the heated seats do not provide enough heat even when left on during the summer, and there is a significant amount of brake dust. Despite bringing these issues to the attention of the dealer, they have been unable to fix them or acknowledge that they are problems. Additionally, there is a lot of road noise and the navigation system is subpar. While I understand that this is a 'sports' ride, it should not feel like I am driving a 1987 SUV. Furthermore, callers have complained about the quality of the Bluetooth connection. However, I am confident that these issues can be resolved with the right attention and expertise.
