- Summary: Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) recalled certain 2018-2019 4Runner, Highlander, Camry, Land Cruiser, Sequoia, Sienna, Tacoma and Tundra, and Lexus RC 300, RC 350, GS 350, GX 460, IS 300, LC 500, LS 500, LX 570, RX 350L, and 2019 Toyota Avalon and Corolla, and certain Lexus NX 300, and ES 350 vehicles on January 13, 2020. On March 4, 2020, Toyota expanded the recall to include certain 2014-2015 Toyota 4Runner and Land Cruiser, 2018 Avalon, Corolla, 2014 FJ Cruiser, 2017 Sienna and Lexus 2018 ES 350, 2018-2019 GS 300, 2013-2014 GS350, 2014-2015 GX 460, IS 350 and LX 570, 2014 IS F, 2018-2019 IS 350, LC 500H and LS 500H, 2013-2015 LS 460, 2015 NX 200T and RC350, 2017 RC 200T and RX 350. Toyota also removed the 2018-2019 Toyota 4Runner and Land Cruiser and 2018-2019 Lexus GX 460 and LX 570 and 2019 NX300 from inclusion in this recall. On March 19, 2020, Toyota expanded the recall to include 2015 Lexus GS350 vehicles. The low-pressure fuel pump inside the fuel tank may fail.
- Consequence: If the fuel pump fails, the engine can stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy: Toyota will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuel pump, free of charge. The recall began May 4, 2020. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-888-270-9371 or Lexus customer service at 1-800-255-3987. Toyota's numbers for this recall are 20TB02 and 20TA02 for Toyota vehicles and 20LB01 and 20LA01 for Lexus vehicles.

In the affected vehicles, the switch that senses the amount of pressure that the driver is applying to the brake pedal may fail.
- Consequence: If the switch fails, the vehicle may begin braking without the driver's input, and without illuminating the brake lights, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy: Toyota will notify owners, and dealers will replace the brake pedal support assembly which includes the brake pedal load sensing switch, free of charge. Toyota sent owners an interim notification letter in late June 2014 to advise owners of the recall. Owners received a second letter after the remedy parts were available in mid-July. I received my new GS350 yesterday, which comes with NAV, Blind Spot Alert, Park Assist Sensors, Mark Levinson Audio, Luxury Package, and more. During the test drive, I found that the sport model did not suit my taste due to the metallic interior and non-rotatable tires. I traded my Mercedes E350 for this new GS and I must say that I find it more refined, with higher tech features, a less harsh ride, reduced road noise, higher quality interior, more comfortable seating, and superior handling and responsiveness compared to the Mercedes and BMW's I have owned. Although I had a 2001 GS300, the only similarity to that model is the GS insignia. The technology in this car is unbelievable and the interior resembles the cockpit of a Gulfstream Jet. I believe that it was worth every penny I spent on it!

For someone like me in middle management, who goes for cars like this, it's important to be honest with yourself. While I would love to say that maximum power, torque, and racing handling are my top priorities, they simply aren't. Reliability and comfort have to be at the top of the list. Before I can enjoy the daily adrenaline shot that I get from my 2013 GS350 F-Sport, it needs to start smoothly, engage my senses, and not leave me stranded on the side of the road. I can assure you that this car can handle anything and everything that you'll encounter in the real world. Your bravery will run out long before you reach the limits of the F-Sport, and your consideration for safe driving will kick in well before you become reckless. Is it a great track day car? No, but I spend a lot more time commuting to work than I do on the track. I just want to enjoy my daily commute, and this car is the best in its price range for doing just that. It makes me feel alive, proud, and motivated. I can see it from my fifth-floor corner office, and it calls to me all day long. I can't wait to drive it, and I get a goofy smile every time I get in. Ignore the track telemetry and get the car that soothes your soul as well as it ignites your passion. When you click into Sport+ mode, this car will strain at the leash and bark out a multi-stage exhaust note that is 100% primal scream. When your talent runs out, it will make the decisions that you failed to make, and ensure that you arrive safely to your destination. I promise, you will not be disappointed in this work of engineering excellence.

In December 2012, I took my time buying a car. I spent four weekends test-driving the A6, 535i, E350, and GS 350 F Sport. Eventually, I decided to buy the GS 350 F Sport because it was the most fun to drive and had all the luxury-sports styling, character, options, and features that mattered most to me. Even after 8 months and 6,000+ miles, it is still exhilarating to drive this car. My family, friends, and colleagues always compliment me on it. The only reason it has relatively low mileage is that I have two other cars that also need to be driven. I look forward to many years of reliable use, minimal maintenance cost (for oil and filters, tires, brake pads), and excellent Lexus center services.

I've been driving the new GS350 for 2 months now, and it's been excellent. I know many of us lead busy lives, and my previous BMW 3 series just didn't cut it. It had poor ride quality, stiff steering, and maintenance problems. It felt like I was just driving a car with 4 wheels and a BMW badge. The GS, on the other hand, takes the driving experience to a whole new level. Inside the car, I feel totally pampered with top-quality materials, leather, wood, and technology. The ride and steering are softer than the BMW, which I much prefer at the end of a busy day when I'm dead tired. I no longer have to struggle to turn the car out of a packed car park because of a stiff steering wheel.

I purchased the car used with under 30K miles and have driven it for 49K miles. During my test drive, I noticed that the driver wheel well occupied a good portion of the left leg room, which made it difficult to stretch out my non-driving leg. Additionally, the navigation screen, while impressive in size, is not very user-friendly. The AC also requires the use of a mouse for many functions, which can take some getting used to. Furthermore, there is some rattling noise coming from the front speaker, which is out of warranty and needs to be fixed. Despite these issues, my biggest complaint is the recent brake and tire replacement, which has resulted in squeaky brakes and less smooth tires. I am taking it back to the dealership to see what the problem is. However, if you can overlook these issues, the car has good power and handles well around curves.

I had a new GS-350 as a company car. It's a nice car, but I found the handling to be mushy and imprecise. The drivetrain was not as responsive as I would have liked. It has all the creature comforts you would expect from a Lexus, but unfortunately, the stereo was not up to par. All in all, it's a car that may not be the most exciting to drive. However, after quitting my job and purchasing an Acura TL, I realized how much more enjoyable driving can be.

The car is definitely fun to drive! It has great power and performance, and the handling is top-notch. While there are other cars out there that offer similar performance at a lower price point, I still really enjoyed my time with this one. Although I didn't end up going with the Volvo S60, I'm sure it's a great car too. The options on this car were a bit overwhelming for me, and I found myself getting distracted by all the bells and whistles instead of focusing on the car's true value. While it may be a bit pricey, I still think it's a great car overall. Plus, my wife really liked it too!
