Summary: Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2007-2011 Lexus GS350 and GS450h, 2006-2013 Lexus IS350 and 2010-2014 Lexus IS350C vehicles, equipped with 3.5L V6 2GR-FSE gasoline engines. The diaphragms in the fuel pulsation dampers may harden over time and develop cracks, possibly causing a fuel leak.
Consequence: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Toyota will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuel delivery pipe with a new pipe that has improved pulsation dampers, free of charge. The recall began August 23, 2018. Owners may contact Lexus customer service at 1-800-255-3987. Toyota's number for this recall is JLF.

Due to anti-corrosion plating remnants, fuel may leak from where the fuel pressure sensor is attached to the fuel delivery pipe.
Consequence: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Toyota will notify owners, and dealers will clean and reseal the fuel pressure sensor mounting area, free of charge. The recall began March 3, 2015. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331.

Summary: Toyota is recalling certain model year 2007-2011 Lexus GS350 vehicles manufactured June 19, 2006, through July 12, 2011; and model year 2006-2011 Lexus IS350 vehicles manufactured May 27, 2005, through July 13, 2011; and model year 2010-2011 Lexus IS350c vehicles manufactured November 25, 2009, through July 19, 2011. These vehicles, equipped with the 2GR-FSE engine, use bolts to secure the housing and sprocket of the Variable-Valve Timing (VVT) system gear assembly. These bolts could become loose due to abnormal impacts generated within the gear assembly immediately after a cold start-up.
Consequence: The loose bolts could cause the VVT gear housing and sprocket to separate and result in the engine stopping while the vehicle is being driven, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Toyota will notify owners, and Lexus dealers will replace the VVT unit free of charge. Owners may contact Toyota at 1-800-331-4331.

Additionally, there is a lot of road noise and the navigation system is subpar. While I understand that this is a 'sports' ride, it should not feel like I am driving a 1987 SUV. I replaced my BMW 7 with this car because it's basically a Toyota with an L. I've had it for a little over a year and have never had any issues with it. Although it doesn't compare to a BMW or BENZ, both of which I've owned, I got tired of the high repair costs on the Beamer that drove me to this car. It's a very well-made car with tons of cool tech stuff that I'm too busy to learn about. The only downside is that if you're used to BMW or BENZ, this car has a lot more road noise. However, I've learned to live with it because it's super reliable. In fact, we even traded my wife's M-roadster for a Lexus 400 and love that car too.

While it does require premium unleaded gas, the smooth and powerful drive with 303 hp makes it worth it. With around 94000 miles on the odometer, this used vehicle still has a lot of safety features, Bluetooth, a rearview camera, and stylish hypersilver wheels. The exterior is eye-catching and the interior is comfortable for long drives. I did some research and found that repairs and maintenance can be pricey, especially at the dealership, but if you take good care of the vehicle, it will take care of you. I have even seen real-life examples of this model reaching 500000 miles, as well as other Lexus models like the ES 300, ES 330, and ES 350, which shows that Lexus makes dependable vehicles. Dependability is a top priority for me, and I am so happy with my Lexus GS350!

This is my second Lexus experience and it is awesome! I have owned a few European cars, but Lexus is definitely a better overall package. The standard equipment offered by Lexus is more comprehensive than its competitors, which charge 10K more for the same car. The acceleration, ride, and handling are spot on. The leather is the best in the industry and the ergonomics are perfect. I have read some complaints about the hidden controls, but I actually enjoy not having the dash cluttered up with controls that I do not use frequently.

I have owned three GS models - a 2000, a 2006, and now a 2009, which I just picked up last week. The car is fantastic!
