EX35 (2007-2013)
The production model EX35 was revealed at the 2007 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, followed by Jamsil Olympic Stadium in Seoul.
North American model of the EX35 went on sale in December 2007 as a 2008 model year vehicle. The EX35 was offered with a 297 hp (221 kW) 3.5 L V6 (VQ35HR) until it was rebadged in 2013 as EX37 with a 325 hp (242 kW) 3.7 L V6 (VQ37VHR). For the 2014 model year, Infiniti again rebadged all of its models renaming the EX37 as QX50.

- Summary: Last year I had to have the BCM replaced on my infiniti. Here I am a year later and I'm being told that I have to replace the BCM again. The dealer told me that there's water that is literally streaming directly past the module due to the drainage coming from the sunroof. I have no idea why that I happening bring I haven't experienced any leakage from the sunroof. I definitely shouldn't have to replace a BCM 1 year after installation of a new module. Please take look into this issue. I just don't think it's fair that I have to replace another BCM due to the drainage ststem/path on such a luxurious car.

Diagnosed by Infinity as code B00AO-02 which requires replacing the Passenger Front Seat Bottom Assembly at the cost estimate of $9871.82 (date of estimate is 1/27/23) according to Infinity. Ethos extended warranty will not cover the issue as well as Infinity. Interesting info: Ethos did cover did not cover this particular make/model. However, after Infinity changed manufacture for above said problem, Ethos now covers the SRS problem described above in their extended warranty. This leads me to the suspicion that 'maybe' Infinity was aware of the problem since they changed manufacturer. THIS IS A CRITICAL SAFETY ISSUE! Mileage on the vehicle on 1/27/23 was 9,665 miles. This car is immaculate, never wrecked always garage kept, driven my 86 year old widow. The car is a so called 'high end' luxury vehicle with a sub-par SRS system.

I recently traded in my 2016 Murano for a 2017 QX50 with all the options. The Murano was just an S class with no luxury items, but the QX50 is a much more impressive vehicle. It handles incredibly and is very responsive. Although gas mileage wasn't a big concern for me since I don't drive much, the difference between 2-3 miles per gallon wouldn't have altered my decision anyway. The QX50 is super comfortable and stylish, and I'd put it up against the Porsche Cayenne or Macon any day. I don't need the German alternatives because I don't want to deal with the expensive maintenance. The QX50 is a head-turner and very sleek for a compact SUV. I believe I will own this vehicle for quite a few years! I've only had to change the oil in two years, and I don't drive it much, but when I do, it's an absolute joy. There have been NO issues whatsoever.

I think this is a great point as it provides a lot of flexibility without requiring a large vehicle with massive cargo space. Although it is an unusual vehicle and has a higher gas consumption, it is still a great option for those who prioritize other features. In the past, I have achieved better than rated mileage on this particular engine/setup (3.7L, 7 speed auto) as it has been very responsive with a feather touch on the gas, despite my lead foot. I would describe it more as a Sport Sedan Utility Hatchback than a full-fledged SUV. Do you remember hatchbacks? They had a higher cargo area that you could expand if you needed to haul things around that were odd sizes, like a bicycle. The cargo area is a really good size by my standards, but smaller than some I have seen, but you could still carry quite a bit. As for the packages, which were mentioned in the Edmunds review, they come pretty well loaded for a $35,000 SUV (the base, RWD model). I added the premium and premium plus packages for the upgraded radio, navigation, and several other features. The premium package is $500, the Premium Plus is $1,000, but requires the Premium Package. I also got the 19I tried out the back seat and found it surprisingly comfortable for two adults, with its own heat and a/c vents that can be adjusted. The navigation system was easy to use and I appreciated the separate radio and climate controls. Bluetooth works well for both voice and audio media, just make sure it's set up for both. The car has plenty of power, with a sport driving mode and manual shift on the stick. It handles well on curvy roads and highways, although it's important to remember that it is a compact vehicle. If you're in the market for a new car, I highly recommend giving the Infiniti a test drive. Infiniti dealers are offering great discounts, so you can save a lot of money without much haggling. Depending on the level of equipment, you can save up to $8,000 off the sticker price. Overall, it's a great car that's definitely worth considering.I picked a car, and the saleswoman came back with the best price, including the rebate. I was thrilled! When comparing sticker prices, keep in mind that they can come down quite a bit, especially now that they still have 2017 models on the lot and know that 2018 is the last year before major changes.

Congratulations on your purchase! You just bought the last year model (2017) of the J50 version of the QX50, fully loaded with under 33k miles. The J50 chassis is fundamentally a RWD platform with a longitudinal engine, which is the time-proven setup for athletic handling and the 'driver's choice'. The car has a naturally aspirated and very powerful V6 engine, which provides ample power. The 7-spd automatic transmission is proper and reliable. This car handles and rides as good as any of your BMWs did and better than the Lexus. It has better cargo carrying flexibility, seats up or down, than any of them. The voice-guided nav system is still more than adequate fourteen years later and does everything you would want it to. Enjoy your new ride!I really enjoy my Infiniti QX50, but I do wish it had Apple CarPlay so I could use Waze, which is frankly superior to any car's built-in system. Unfortunately, Infiniti didn't incorporate that into the QX50 until its 2020 model year. However, my car has the top-shelf Bose system, which I would put in the top 10% of car audio systems. It's definitely not a Lexus Mark Levinson system, which is top 2%, but it still sounds great. Unlike some of my prior cars, it has AWD, which makes it more practical year-round in sometimes snowy SE PA. In short, it has gathered together the best qualities of all of the cars I've enjoyed in the past, and this time they're delivered with Japanese quality, reliability, and low cost of ownership that some of those other manufacturers sadly are not known for. By the way, I've been getting about 18 mpg in non-highway driving and 29 on the highway, which isn't horrible considering the performance the car is capable of. I will add though, that however successful Infiniti was at combining all of those virtues into a single vehicle, the resulting styling and form somewhat missed the mark and took a long time to get used to. Initially, I did not turn and look over my shoulder at the car the same way I did my Bimmers, the CTS-V, or even the Lexus. Those cars had a narrower purpose, which simplified their designers' missions and influenced the purity of their shapes. This QX50 is to cars what a platypus is to ducks and beavers or, as others have called it, a clown shoe on wheels. In fairness though, I can't think of any SUV-like vehicle that would inspire that old kind of passion, so this isn't a real hit against the QX50. If you can tolerate mediocre mpg, but otherwise would appreciate actual 'sport' with your 'utility', this last of its kind cross-over hits the mark in a way that only sports sedans usually do, but with practicality thrown in for good measure.Seating for four six-footers is finally comfortable in the 2016/2017 models. The fit and finish are precise, and the materials satisfy luxury expectations. The 7Because I’m now retired for two years and driving less, especially after two years of Covid confinement, and especially because used car prices are ridiculously priced these days, I'm not searching for a replacement for my QX50 and still love driving it. But I’m equally convinced that when things settle down again, I will be shopping for an EV or some hybrid type again. As time moves on, the car’s appetite for fossil fuels has eroded its old school appeal for me! UPDATE 10/4/2022: I still have it, still love it, and am only casually sniffing around for a plug-in hybrid. New and used car prices are so high these days that there’s not yet a practical reason for me to switch because I’m only driving about 5k miles per year now. Plus, the older cars that might cross the practicality barrier are often the small, cheap model variants that have fewer tech options and zero luxury appeal. I’m not willing to give that last thing up either just for saving maybe a few hundred dollars per year in gas, and the luxury PHEV cars are just way too expensive. So I can see myself easily keeping this car for another two or three years (and loving it)! UPDATE 4-4-23: Drove a Toyota RAV4 Hybrid the other day. Bigger and roomier, and adequate performance, but disappointing interior and bland vehicle dynamics. So that car is off my list. Still smiling in my QX50!!!

I must say, I absolutely adore this car! Let me start by saying that we were already huge fans of the 2010 Infiniti EX35 with 120,000 miles, so we were thrilled to upgrade to a newer model. But this car is so much more than just an upgrade - it's a sleek and stylish machine with impressive speed and agility. The high-tech features are a blast to use, and the car's comfort is unbeatable. It feels like a luxurious sedan with the added bonus of an SUV's spaciousness. And let's talk about those tech features - the blind spot monitor, lane change prevention, and crash assist are all amazing. I'll admit, I was a bit confused by all the beeps at first, but now I can't imagine driving without them. All in all, this car is an incredible purchase and I couldn't be happier with it!

I had been struggling for years with the high annual operating costs of off-warranty European cars, especially BMWs, which are notoriously expensive. As a newly retired individual, I was looking for a vehicle that was both satisfying to drive and affordable to maintain. With one exception, this specific model-year compact SUV is the perfect car for me. On the downside, the gas mileage is mediocre at best, with only 18 mpg in non-highway driving and no better than 29 mpg on the highway, and these figures are achieved only under a somewhat sedate driving style. However, the car's power is unmatched, boasting an awesome 325 hp V6 engine. The mixed tech is also a downside, as the car lacks Apple CarPlay or Android integration, but the NAV system is still useful. On the upside, this car has a lot of great features! First of all, this was the last year for this model built on its original RWD architecture, and the car's handling matches my 2008 BMW 335xi. The ride quality is also superb, matching the larger BMW 530xi I once owned. The engine is awesome, with no turbo-lag in this naturally aspirated engine! It produces 325 relentless horsepower that pull like a freight train, falling just a smidgen behind that aforementioned 335xi. I prize chassis dynamics above all else, and this car does it all!The acceleration of this car is surprisingly fierce and almost frightening, especially as it seems to accelerate harder the higher the revs rise. What's more, this VQ series of engine produced by Nissan has won awards for many years owing to its stout horsepower and reliability. The interior space is more than adequate, with a 4” chassis stretch in 2016 adding rear seat leg room that allows 6+ footers to ride comfortably in this car. The seats are well-formed and comfortable, with a small but thoughtful detail of smaller bottom seat bolsters near the center console, allowing a hand to fit between them to retrieve the wallet or sunglasses that just dropped there. Behind the back seats, you have 18 cu ft of space, as much as any full-sized sedan’s trunk, but fold the seats down and now you have 50 cu ft, increasing the utility of this vehicle way beyond any sedan you might choose to replace with it. This car has 'old fashioned' radio volume and tuning rotary knobs, as well as six station buttons that are conveniently placed in front of the display. Additionally, it has modern safety tech, including adaptive headlights, Bird’s-eye view surround camera, BLIS, LDW, LDA, FCA, FCA, Rear traffic cross alert and adaptive cruise, which can sometimes be annoying but are always a safety advantage. The interior look and materials are great, and you will know you are not in a Honda or Toyota. It is a premium car and looks and feels that way, with chrome trim on the outside completing the effect. Lastly, it has AWD.Infiniti has done an excellent job improving their intelligent AWD system over the years, which now nearly matches Audi's Quattro in responsiveness. The car's RWD configuration when AWD is not needed also enhances its handling and cornering capabilities. In short, this is the best all-around vehicle I have ever owned. It combines the best features of many European cars I've owned with better utility and adequate technology. I love driving it as much as any car I've ever owned (well, maybe not the stick-shift CTS-V!). The only downside is the relatively poor gas mileage, which keeps me from giving the car a full five-star rating. Nevertheless, it looks like something I'm going to want to keep for many years to come. It does it all and does it all well enough for my needs! Update 7-29-22: I'm still holding firm on all of the above. That said, gasoline prices have me considering SUV hybrids, although limited supply and high prices will likely keep me in the Infiniti for years to come, especially since I drive so much less now that I'm retired. December 30, 2022: No real changes to my opinions or future plans. I still love driving it every day, and now that gas prices are back down (and dropping), my interest in hybrid SUVs has dropped as well. I've only driven 46k miles so far, which is relatively nothing for modern cars, so I have many more years of high-satisfaction driving ahead. My wife's car, the 2019 QX50, while an entirely different car based on a FWD platform, might be the only model I would consider replacing it with. What Infiniti really needs to do is incorporate some of the hybrid/electric technology from its parent company Nissan to offer a more gas-efficient model that's still an Infiniti!
