- Manufacturer: Hyundai Motor America
- Components: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:IGNITION:INTERLOCK/LOCKOUT
- Summary: Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2010-2013 Genesis Coupe vehicles. A return spring in the ignition lock switch may fracture, which can result in unintended vehicle movement when the vehicle is started in gear, without the parking brake applied.
- Consequence: Unintended vehicle movement can increase the risk of a crash.
- Remedy: Dealers will replace the ignition lock switch, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 4, 2024. Owners may contact Hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460. Hyundai's number for this recall is 266.

- Park Out Side: 1
- Park Out Side: 1
- Components: SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:ANTILOCK/TRACTION CONTROL/ELECTRONIC LIMITED SLIP:CONTROL UNIT/MODULE
- Summary: Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2011-2015 Elantra, Genesis Coupe, Sonata Hybrid, 2012-2015 Accent, Azera, Veloster, 2013-2015 Elantra Coupe, Santa Fe, 2014-2015 Equus, 2010-2012 Veracruz, 2010-2013 Tucson, 2015 Tucson Fuel Cell, and 2013 Santa Fe Sport vehicles. The Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) module may leak brake fluid internally and cause an electrical short, which can result in an engine compartment fire while parked or driving.
- Consequence: An engine compartment fire while parked or driving can increase the risk of injury.
- Remedy: Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures until the recall repair is complete. Dealers will replace the ABS fuse, free of charge. - Manufacturer: Hyundai Motor America
- Components: AIR BAGS:SENSOR:OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION
- Summary: Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain model year 2010-2016 Genesis Coupe vehicles manufactured December 12, 2008, to June 11, 2016. The electrical harness connector for the front passenger seat Occupant Classification System (OCS) may dislodge when the seat is moved.
- Consequence: In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the passenger frontal air bag, the disconnected OCS would, by default, cause the first stage, and only the first stage, of the air bag to deploy, whether there is a child seat in the front seat and the bag should not deploy or if the crash is severe and both stages should deploy. Either scenario increases the risk of injury to the front seat occupant.
- Remedy: Hyundai will notify owners, and dealers will secure the OCS connector to prevent it from disconnecting, free of charge. Parts are not currently available and a second letter will be sent to owners when parts are available. Owners may contact Hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460. Hyundai's number for this recall is 151.

This is a fantastic first purchase! On the used market, it's hard to find a better value than these cars. You get so much for so little! The interior is well laid out, and while some material quality is questionable (such as the cheap leather), most of the plastics are soft touch or have a rubber coating. In my opinion, the exterior is gorgeous. The power plant under the hood is great and gives other cars in this price range a run for their money. The only real issue is the 6-speed transmission, which can feel a bit cheap and clunky. However, can you live with it daily? For me, the answer is yes. The total value outweighs this one problem. The seats hold you in place very well and feel nice for the price point.

Hey there! I just wanted to start off by saying that this car is one of my absolute favorites! I've actually owned 14 cars over the past 30+ years, so I have quite the personal database to compare it to. Let me tell you, this car is lightning fast, especially in manual mode! Sure, there might be a slight lag at launch in full automatic, but if you're racing, you're going to be using the paddle shifters anyway. (I don't race, but I do love one particular freeway on ramp.) While it might not be a work of art, the design definitely lets you know up front that this is a fun car. The interior is about as comfortable as you might imagine a sport-tuned suspension would allow, which is to say not overly. But don't worry, everything is well laid-out, easy to use and unobtrusive. Overall, I absolutely love it! But, I do encourage you to keep reading...

I was a bit nervous about buying a Hyundai after my 2003 Kia died at 98000 miles. However, the sleek look and quick burst of the turbo sold me in just one hour! I feel amazing when driving it and love cruising at 65 mph, then hitting the gas without downshifting. Although I have only seen a few others on the road in my area, whereas you see hundreds of Civics on the road daily, my father, who was with me at the test drive, still 'ooh's and ahh's' each time I pull up to his house. All in all, it was a fantastic buy! I get an average of 34 mpg (mostly stop-and-go freeway traffic), but I have found that the rearview mirror blurs/vibrates at 65mph and Bluetooth is not compatible with a lot of phones.

I have been driving the 2.0T premium coupe for almost 5 months now and it is a beautiful and fast car. I particularly love the navigation system, although I must admit that I am not a fan of the iPod interface. The front seats are very comfortable, making it a pleasant ride. However, I have noticed that the sticker of 20/30 mpg is not accurate at all. In reality, the car's fuel efficiency is much lower than that. Even when I drive conservatively, I only get around 16.5mpg in town and 24mpg on the highway. Additionally, the 5-speed transmission doesn't seem to be sufficient for my needs. It's also worth noting that the T in 2.0T stands for Turbo, which means that it requires supreme gas only. Overall, while there are some aspects of the car that I am not completely satisfied with, I still appreciate its many great features.

In 2011, we purchased a new Genesis coupe, but unfortunately, it hasn't met our expectations. We've found that it's not as comfortable as we had hoped, and the road noise can be quite distracting. Additionally, we've had some issues with the interior and navigation system. However, we understand that every vehicle has its quirks and we're hopeful that we can work with the dealer to address these concerns. Thank you for considering our experience.

Hey there! I also own a v6 GT with 25k miles and I absolutely love driving it! The car is fast, responsive, and sounds amazing. Although the GT suspension is still quite stiff, it's definitely bearable. I think it's a great looking car too! However, I have had some issues with the interior build quality. My sun roof has given me some trouble, my drivers seat track had to be replaced, and the steering wheel leather peeled off. Additionally, the electronic brake switch has died 3 times which unfortunately kills the push button start. On top of that, the dashboard has quite a few rattles and the rear speaker rattles quite a lot. Despite these issues, I still really enjoy driving my car. Have you experienced any similar issues with your car's interior? Let me know!

In October, I bought a 2.0T Coupe and drove it for over a month before trading it in (I leased) for a Veloster, which suits me better. Although the Coupe was a beautiful car in Red, it did not meet my expectations in terms of ride, comfort and fuel economy. Unfortunately, the ride was harsh, there was an annoying buzz on the passenger side, the seats were not comfortable, and it aggravated my carpal tunnel, which made it difficult to drive without pain. Despite my initial excitement for a sports car, it was not the right fit for me. I also own a Volkswagen CC and the steering, handling and cornering are heads above the Coupe. Although it was a disappointment for me, I am happy to have found a car that suits my needs better.

In December 2019, I finally bought my dream car, a Hyundai Genesis coupe with approximately 73 thousand miles on it. Although I was a bit apprehensive about the purchase, I was thrilled to finally have the car I had always wanted. Unfortunately, I've had a few issues with the vehicle. The windows stopped working and in June 2020, the car stalled in traffic and almost caught on fire. Since then, I haven't been able to get the car to start. I had to pay $180 to tow the car home and then over $100 to tow it to a nearby shop. After waiting for 30 minutes, they called me to say that I needed a whole new engine because it was locked. Needless to say, I was extremely saddened by this and have been without a car since then. My dream car has turned into a bit of a nightmare.
