2010 Hyundai Azera problems
The Hyundai Grandeur (Korean: 현대 그랜저) is an executive sedan manufactured and marketed by the South Korean manufacturer Hyundai since 1986, over five generations.
From 1986 to 1996, the Grandeur was the flagship for Hyundai's South Korean range before the Hyundai Dynasty was introduced. It is marketed globally as the Hyundai Azera. As the Azera, it was the flagship of Hyundai's US and Canadian lineup until the arrival of the Genesis sedan. After the launch of the separate Genesis brand, the Grandeur/Azera resumed its place as the company's flagship.
As of the 2017 model year, the Azera is no longer marketed in the United States and Canada. The sedan continued to be available in South Korea and the Middle East.

- Components: SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:ANTILOCK/TRACTION CONTROL/ELECTRONIC LIMITED SLIP
- Summary: Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2006-2011 Hyundai Azera and 2006 Hyundai Sonata vehicles. Water may enter the Anti-lock Brake (ABS) Module and result in an electrical short .
- Consequence: An electrical short within the ABS Module may cause an engine compartment fire, even when the car is turned off, increasing the risk of an injury.
- Remedy: Hyundai will notify owners, and dealers will install a relay in the vehicle's main junction box to prevent the risk of an ABS short-circuit while the car is turned off, free of charge. - Manufacturer: Hyundai Motor Company
- Components: SUSPENSION:REAR
- Summary: Hyundai is recalling certain model year 2006-2010 Sonata vehicles manufactured March 1, 2005, through January 21, 2010; and model year 2006-2011 Azera vehicles manufactured September 27, 2005, through November 22, 2010 originally sold in, or currently registered in, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, West Virginia, Wisconsin and the District of Columbia. Road salt and water can enter portions of the rear crossmember, leading to corrosion of the crossmember steel. This may lead to detachment of one of the rear control arms.

- Remedy: Hyundai will notify owners, and dealers will repair or replace the crossmember assembly. The recall began on October 8, 2013. Owners may contact Hyundai Customer Care Center at 1-800-633-5151. Hyundai's recall number is 113.
- Manufacturer: Hyundai Motor Company
- Components: EXTERIOR LIGHTING:BRAKE LIGHTS:SWITCH
- Summary: Hyundai Motor Company (Hyundai) is recalling certain model year 2006-2009 Accent, model year 2007-2011 Azera, Sonata and Sante Fe,2006-2011 Tucson, 2009-2011 Elantra Touring, 2007-2010 Elantra, 2008-2011 Veracruz, 2009-2011 Genesis, 2010-2011 Genesis Coupe, 2007-2008 Entourage, and 2006-2008 Tiburon vehicles. In September 2013, Hyundai informed the agency that it was adding more vehicles to this campaign, representing an additional 652,512 units. The total number of vehicles being recalled is now 1,712,336. In the affected vehicles, the stop lamp switch may malfunction. A malfunctioning stop lamp switch may cause the brake lights to not illuminate when the brake pedal is depressed or may cause an inability to deactivate the cruise control by depressing the brake pedal. Additionally, a malfunctioning stop lamp switch may also result in intermittent operation of the push-button start feature, affect the operation of the brake transmission shift interlock feature, preventing the shifter from being moved out of the PARK position and cause the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) malfunction light to illuminate.
- Consequence: Failure to illuminate the stop lamps during braking or inability to disengage the cruise control could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, when the ignition is in the 'ON' position, the transmission shifter may be able to be moved out of Park without first applying the brake. This may lead to unintentional movement of the car which may increase the risk of a crash.
- Remedy: Hyundai will notify owners, and dealers will replace the stop lamp switch, free of charge. The safety recall began on April 22, 2013. Owners may contact Hyundai at 1-800-633-5151. Hyundai's recall campaign number is 110.

After two weeks of researching and test driving various cars, I found that the Hyundai Azera offered the most features for a very reasonable price. This sedan has everything I was looking for - stylish both inside and out, great performance, and an affordable price. My family and I purchased the Azera Limited in early August and have already driven over 4,000 comfortable and enjoyable miles. In my opinion, it is one of the best values available for anyone in the market for a new car today.

Hello! I just wanted to share my experience with the car. I used to drive a heavy Lincoln Town Car with a 205HP engine, but I have to say that I'm really happy with the 233HP engine in this car. And if you opt for the 263HP engine, it's like driving a rocket! The drive-ability is amazing, and it's very sure-footed, even in the rain. I often drive over 500 miles in a day, and this car is so comfortable on those long hauls. Plus, with slightly more than 20K miles on the car, nothing - absolutely nothing - has gone wrong! Thanks for listening.

I absolutely love this car! It has been problem-free and performs exceptionally well even during the winter months in the Rockies. The driving experience is simply dreamy. I can't understand why they don't make them anymore!

I was thrilled to hear so many of my friends rave about their Hyundais, so I decided to investigate when I needed to replace my 2000 Volvo V40. I was equally impressed with both the reviews and the car. Although I wasn't planning on buying right away, the value of price and luxury that the Azera offered was too tempting to resist. I have not been disappointed at all after having the Azera for just a week, during which I have already put on over 600 miles. The plush seating, fantastic sound system, more than ample interior space, plenty of power when needed, and stylish looks make this by far the nicest and most

I recently purchased the 2009 Azera Limited and so far, I am very happy with my decision. As a former mechanic, I was hesitant to buy a Hyundai as I always recommended Toyota, Honda, or Nissan to my customers. However, after conducting some research and test driving the car, I am now adding Hyundai to my list of recommended cars. I was initially considering the Toyota Avalon Limited, but I ultimately chose the comparably equipped Hyundai, which saved me about $6,000. Although the Avalon had a slightly quieter ride, I did not find it to be worth the extra cost.
