2014 Hyundai Azera problems
The Hyundai Grandeur (Korean: 현대 그랜저) is an executive sedan manufactured and marketed by the South Korean manufacturer Hyundai since 1986, over five generations.
From 1986 to 1996, the Grandeur was the flagship for Hyundai's South Korean range before the Hyundai Dynasty was introduced. It is marketed globally as the Hyundai Azera. As the Azera, it was the flagship of Hyundai's US and Canadian lineup until the arrival of the Genesis sedan. After the launch of the separate Genesis brand, the Grandeur/Azera resumed its place as the company's flagship.
As of the 2017 model year, the Azera is no longer marketed in the United States and Canada. The sedan continued to be available in South Korea and the Middle East.

To top things off we are told to continue driving the car even though it will eventually explode into a fireball of a mess after enough brake fluid leaks into electrical components. We have a 9 month old baby and the Hyundai Azera is considered our “family car”. Fix this asap! You’re putting families in danger. Either fix or supply families with a loaner car. Additionally, the advice from the car company is to leave car outside to avoid your house catching on fire. We are told to keep cars outside knowing these specific cars are theft liabilities.

Great car! Although, I found that the visibility was not ideal for shorter people. In the end, I decided to sell it and upgrade to an SUV for a better view.

I have owned 3 Mercedes E-Class sedans in the past, but after purchasing this car for $22,000 less and driving it for 4 years and 43000 miles, I can confidently say that it surpasses the Mercedes. The maintenance cost is significantly lower, and I haven't had to replace brake pads or tires as frequently. Now with 37,000 miles and 3 years old, it is the most cost-effective car I have ever owned. I cannot emphasize enough how comfortable and quiet the ride is.
-
You have two Azeras, a 2006 Limited and a 2013 Tech. The attention to detail on both is very impressive. The 2013 model is an excellent car for long journeys and the back seats are incredibly comfortable. We have yet to encounter any issues with this car. The panoramic sun-moon roof works perfectly and the heating/cooling system is evenly distributed. The rear window power shade is a fantastic feature. The Azera has a highway mileage of approximately 31 mpg and the instrumentation is well thought out. It is a shame that the Azera will no longer be manufactured after 2017.

As a ride share driver who drives 2,000 miles a month, I can attest that this car is not only stylish but also incredibly comfortable to sit in and drive. With the technology package or the Limited trim, this car has everything that a 12 cylinder Mercedes and stretch limo has, including ventilated and heated seats, rear side window shades, a rear window shade that automatically goes down when you back up, and an enormous panoramic sunroof. The driver seat is the widest I've ever seen, and it's incredibly comfortable. The power controls to adjust the seat are on the door and not on the lower left side of the seat, which means there's no need to leave an empty space for your arm to fit between the door and seat to access the seats power controls, thus they used that room to widen the seat. This car has lots more bells and whistles, but it's as good as a $70,000 car. Enjoy yourself when you drive!
-
Unbelievable value for the money. I love driving it! The bluetooth for phone is great and the navigation is easy to use. The leather seats are comfortable and it can seat 5 people comfortably, including tall adults in the back. Although I wish the steering wheel could come out a little more (an extra inch would have been nice), overall it's a great buy with great MPG and a potent V6.

I used to own a 2002 Nissan Maxima SE and it was an amazing car. Recently, my oldest son turned it in to purchase his first car. In 2013, just after I turned 50, I decided to get a new car and joined my wife in the search. The Hyundai Azera caught my eye and after test driving it, I decided to buy one. Although the ride is decent and the car looks good, I have had some issues with it. The interior is a bit cheap and the trim on the steering wheel is peeling. The Bluetooth is also not great and I had to get it replaced once. Additionally, black soot is present in the exhaust pipes, which seems to be a common issue with Azeras. The biggest issue, however, is that the finish on all four 19-inch alloy wheels is peeling and neither Hyundai nor my dealer, Burns Hyundai in Marlton, NJ, will replace them. Despite these issues, I will be sad to see the car go, but I will be returning to Nissan for my next car.

I've owned quite a few cars in my time, and while most have been pretty good, this one has been a bit of a letdown. It's not so much the big things - I haven't had any mechanical issues - but the little things that add up. For example, the power seat controls are located on the doors near the C(?) pillar, which means that in order to recline the seat or move it all the way to the rear, you have to maintain a sit-up position until the operation is complete. The GPS is also quite difficult to program, and it has a tendency to take you on strange routes. Even on moderately near destinations, it has a tendency to misdirect you right as you near the destination. The sound system is great - I believe it has 12 speakers - but it's not very intuitive when it comes to programming stations. It's nice to be able to save up to 18 stations per band, but when you push the steering wheel control to move to the next station, it only allows the six stations shown. Overall, while there are some things I don't love about this car, it's still a decent ride.To switch between channels on my GMC, it flows seamlessly without having to take your eyes off the road. Additionally, the voice command feature works exceptionally well, making it easy to find a station to listen to. Although the cooling seats for the driver were minimally effective after the first summer season, the heated seats work perfectly fine. I used to live in the Detroit area for almost 40 years and never had any issues with wheel theft. However, I was surprised to find wheel locks placed on my car, which made it difficult to get a tire rotation. I had to order a key for $15 and replace the lug nuts for another $20, which is not an option I would recommend. It's frustrating that the car takes 3-4 seconds to respond after pressing the gas, and the dealer claims it's normal. As someone who has driven for nearly 40 years and owned multiple cars and vans, I know this is not normal. Although I expected this to be the last car I would buy as I am now in my 60s, I am going to get rid of this car and buy something else.I'm sure there are other issues, such as the keyless entry and start feature, which I personally don't like, but my wife does. The main issue for me is that when I'm getting out of the car and press the lock button, if I'm still in the process of exiting, it won't lock. It's not a big issue, but it bothers me. However, my wife doesn't seem to have a problem with it, so I just mention it in passing.

It's great to hear from you! I wanted to let you know that the car has had some wear and tear over the last three years. However, it's only 6 years old and has been driven for just 45K miles. Despite this, it hasn't aged as well as we would have hoped.
