- Summary: The air bag light came on for the front passenger seat. I took it to Grayson Hyundai & they tried to get part #88840-3L500-J9 which is the latch right front buckle assembly. I was told there was no part available because my car is a 2006 & manufactures are only required to carry parts for 10 years. I was also told if the air bags worried me to trade cars. I would think the seat belt buckle for a safety feature like the air bag would have to always be available. I have owned this car since 2006, it only has 26,600 miles on it. It has always been garage kept & literally looks like a new one EXCEPT I have NO air bags. Also, today I was told part #88840-3L500-J9 is on a National Parts List, whatever that means. Surely this has happened to someone else. I just decided to report it.

- Summary: The vehicle has a random, chronic no start issue. Everything appears to be working normally, and you will turn the key with no crank. All the dashboard lights work, everything is as normal except it wont turn over. The dealer will not help. They refuse to even attempt replacing parts with my approval, just to try to rule things out. Due to my own investigation into the problem, we have successfully replaced the transmission inhibitor switch twice with good results. That switch will not allow the engine to crank if the car thinks the transmission is not in park. The first time the repair worked for 1 year, and the second time 6-8 months. I'm having the problem again, not sure where to turn for help. Dealer is useless, local shops have no better ideas than I do.

- Summary: Without warning, my car lost power as I was driving on the interstate. I started changing lanes to get over to the shoulder, and before I got to the shoulder smoke began to come out of the hood then flames started. I was able to pull over and get myself and my special needs son out of the car with the help of others who saw the flames and also pulled over. 911 was called and police and fire came. The firefighters put out my engine fire with their chemical suppressants. My car does not have an active recall on it, but other makes and models with this same engine do, so I never receivedany warming about this problem happening with my same engine. I have always had it serviced at the dealership. This was very traumatic.

SUSPENSION: I HAVE HAD THIS CAR SINCE THE BEGINNING OF APRIL 2014, I HAVE HAD THE SUSPENSION DONE I KNOW AT A MINIMUM OF 5 TIMES TO DATE, THE LAST BEING 7/2/2020 AND CURRENTLY BEING TOLD IT NEEDS TO BE FIXED AGAIN!!!!!! THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!! ENGINE: THE CHECK ENGINE ALERT COMES ON EVERY TIME I CUT THE CAR ON FOR THE LAST 2 YEARS OR SO. RECENTLY THE CAR WOULD SOMETIMES FEEL AS THOUGH THE BRAKES HAD BEEN STOMPED ON. WHEN THIS HAPPENS I GET AND ABS SYSTEM FAILURE ALERT ON THE DASHBOARD AND MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TURNS ON. A COUPLE OF TIMES THIS HAPPENED IT HAS COMPLETELY SHUT OFF THE ENGINE. BECAUSE IT TURNED OFF I DIDN'T HAVE POWER STEERING, SO I HAD TO PULL OVER AND RESTART MY ENGINE. THIS HAPPENS AS I'M DRIVING, I NOTICED IT HAPPENS WHEN IT SHIFTS DOWN GEARS. SOMETIMES WHEN I ACCELERATE AND THE CAR SHIFT GEARS UP IT CAN HAPPEN AS WELL. THE CAR WAS PULLED OVER BECAUSE IT WAS CHUGGING ON THE INTERSTATE HIGHWAY AND RAMP. THE WEATHER WAS SNOWING AND THERE WERE POLICE ON DUTY DUE TO OTHER RESONS SO THE POLICE SAW THE FIRE, CALLED THE FIRE DEP'T AND HAD THE CAR TAKEN TO THE POLLICE IMPOUND LOT. MY INSURANCE CO. INSPECTED THE CAR AND DECLARED THE CAR A TOTAL LOSS. THE VIN WAS CHECKED AFTERWARDS AND THIS CAR HAS A HISTORY OF ELECTRICAL ENGINE SHORTS CAUSING FIRES AND I WAS NOT NOTIFIED.

- Summary: Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2006-2011 Hyundai Azera and 2006 Hyundai Sonata vehicles. Water may enter the Anti-lock Brake (ABS) Module and result in an electrical short .
- Consequence: An electrical short within the ABS Module may cause an engine compartment fire, even when the car is turned off, increasing the risk of an injury.
- Remedy: Hyundai will notify owners, and dealers will install a relay in the vehicle's main junction box to prevent the risk of an ABS short-circuit while the car is turned off, free of charge. The recall began on February 19, 2018. Owners may call Hyundai at 1-800-633-5151. Hyundai's number for this recall is 172.

- Summary: Hyundai is recalling certain model year 2006-2010 Sonata vehicles manufactured March 1, 2005, through January 21, 2010; and model year 2006-2011 Azera vehicles manufactured September 27, 2005, through November 22, 2010 originally sold in, or currently registered in, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, West Virginia, Wisconsin and the District of Columbia. Road salt and water can enter portions of the rear crossmember, leading to corrosion of the crossmember steel. This may lead to detachment of one of the rear control arms.
- Consequence: Control arm separation may suddenly change the rear wheel alignment, affecting the handling of the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy: Hyundai will notify owners, and dealers will repair or replace the crossmember assembly. The recall began on October 8, 2013. Owners may contact Hyundai Customer Care Center at 1-800-633-5151. Hyundai's recall number is 113.

I hope you're doing well! I just wanted to share my experience with my 2006 Azera Limited. I purchased it in June of 2007 after it came off of a lease, and I have to say, it's been the most enjoyable car I've ever owned (and I'm in my late 60's!). The only thing I've noticed is that the suspension could be a bit better on rough roads. Overall, though, I'm really happy with my purchase!

I do a lot of highway driving for my job and recently had to replace my 2004 Acura TL. I was looking for a sedan with good build quality, driving performance, and warranty coverage. After some research, I decided to purchase a Hyundai Azera Limited with the Ultimate package and I couldn't be happier. The initial quality of the car was excellent and even better than my old Acura. It handles great on the highway and I have no problem passing slower traffic thanks to the engine's impressive power. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase and would highly recommend the Hyundai Azera Limited to anyone in the market for a new car.

I inherited a black Azera Ltd from my mom. Before she bought it, she asked me about Hyundai and I told her that I had rented a Sonata and thought it was a great value. I have to say, this Azera easily surpasses the Toyota Avolon that I test-drove. The fit and finish is comparable to my partner's Mercedes and Lexus. I did notice that some early reviews complained about uneven gaps in the dash, hood, etc. However, I compared mine and they're all within 1/16th of an inch, which I consider excellent. The only things that I would like to see improved are a plug for an MP3 player (it only accepts MP3 discs) and a multi-disc CD player. Also, the manual shift will not allow you to hold it in gear to the redline, shifting early at about 6500 rpm.

Hello! I hope you're doing well. I wanted to share some feedback about my recent car purchase. I noticed that the headlights have a very dark line and limited range, which made it difficult to see while driving. Although the dealership raised the headlights to what they said was the proper level, I later found out that they were set too high, causing other drivers to flash their high beams at me. Additionally, I was surprised to find out that the car doors do not lock automatically, which is a feature that even the cheapest cars have for security. Lastly, I found it inconvenient that the cell phone cannot be charged without the engine running. I hope this feedback is helpful and can be addressed in future models. Thank you for your time!

I have found that my experience with this Korean car has been less than satisfactory. Despite the recommendations of some friends, I chose to purchase it. However, having previously driven both a Honda Accord and a Toyota Camry, I can confidently say that those Japanese vehicles outperformed this one by a significant margin.

The design of the headlights is poor and makes driving at night unsafe. As an emergency vehicle driver with over 26 years of experience, I have found that this car causes you to overdrive your headlights, which is a safety concern. Unfortunately, the company's response to this issue has not been very friendly to owners and their concern for safety seems lacking.

Hi there! I wanted to share my experience with my new 2006 Azera Limited that I bought a few months ago. I have to say, I'm really impressed with the build quality so far. I haven't noticed any major or minor quirks of any type. The 262-hp engine is pretty fast, although there is a slight lag when hitting the accelerator.
