Sales of the gasoline-powered and hybrid versions began in the U.S. in October 2012 under the 2013 model. Sales in Europe and Asia as Ford Mondeo began in 2015, along with South Africa, where the Fusion name was used. Deliveries of the Fusion Energi began in the U.S. in February 2013. The entire 2013 Fusion line-up was awarded with the 2013 Green Car of the Year at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show. In 2019, the Fusion was the seventh-best selling car in the United States.

- Summary: In January of 2020 and again in October of 2020, I received recall notices regarding the recall of the Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) per the 19S54 / 19V-904 recall notice. Once the part was available, I scheduled the work and brought my Fusion to DCH Ford of Eatontown 764. The dealership looked at the HCU and said it was not affected and not in need of replacement. Days later, I tried to drive my car and had no braking capability, save the emergency hand brake. The Fusion was towed to the dealer and it was determined that the HCU failed. It was months before an HCU was available, so the car sat with the dealer until August 2021. I have the repair records showing the part that was replaced is the 2C215 HCU Module, the exact part that is outlined in the recall notice. Ford will not consider the repair under the recall because the recall closed when the vehicle was inspected in April. Despite many emails and telephone calls, Ford is now not responding to any contact and will not consider the repair bill under the recall notification.

In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the passenger frontal air bag, these inflators may rupture due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to absolute humidity and temperature cycling.

- Summary: Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain all weather driver side accessory floor mats sold for use in model year 2006-2011 Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan, 2006 Lincoln Zephyr, and 2007-2011 Lincoln MKZ vehicles manufactured November 9, 2007, through October 31, 2010. The affected floor mats may move and possibly interfere with the accelerator pedal.
- Consequence: The floor mat could shift such that it could interfere with the accelerator pedal, preventing its return to an idle position, which could result in unintended vehicle speeds, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will install new replacement mats, free of charge. The recall began in July 2014. Owners may contact Ford's customer service at 1-800-392-3673. NOTE: Vehicles built after October 31, 2010, while potentially equipped with the same floor mats, are equipped with a Brake Over Accelerator (BOA) feature that prevents simultaneous accelerator and brake application, allowing the vehicle to be safely stopped by pressing firmly and steadily on the brake pedal.

The car is really well put together and the driveline is incredibly smooth, making it a joy to handle. If you do a lot of interstate driving, I would highly recommend going for the v-6 over the 4. Trust me, on the Tennessee interstates, you'll need that extra power to hit 80 M.P.H at the end of the acceleration ramp. I couldn't find a better made vehicle with a v-6 for the amount of money I paid.

This car is a great choice for those who want a sensible sedan that feels like a coupe. The handling is very good, even for those who don't prefer front wheel drives. It's also very fuel efficient, unless you decide to push it to its limits. The six speed transmission is very well tuned, which means that the power is always there when you need it. I highly recommend going for the six cylinder six speed auto transmission, as it provides smooth power and puts less strain on the engine.

Taut, well put together, and quiet, with a big back seat and a zoomy feel. Plus, it gets 23 mpg combined city/highway and has a great sound system. The smooth-shifting six-speed automatic transmission and six airbags make it even better. What's not to like?

I bought my 2007 Ford Fusion in February after I totaled my Honda Civic in a pretty bad accident. I was looking for something built stronger, bigger, and with more safety features. When I went to the Ford dealership, I didn't think I would be able to afford a Fusion, but there she was sitting pretty with a great price. I fell in love with it from the start. The car handles well, runs smoothly, is wonderful on gas, and so far, I haven't had any issues. Although the belt for the air conditioner sometimes squeals, it sounds like it's getting ready to go, but I'll get that looked at once summer rolls around again. It's a great car, big enough for a small family, and I absolutely love it!

I'm so excited to share that I finally found the perfect car after months of research and test driving! As someone who loves fast cars that handle well, I was thrilled to discover the V6 SEL AWD Fusion. With 221 HP, it's much more responsive than the Buick Lucerne V6 I test drove. Plus, the sporty grille and spoiler give it a really cool look. The interior is amazing - I opted for the Med. Light Stone leather and the Audiophile stereo system, which sounds fantastic. The exterior is sleek black, and the only change I plan to make is to have the windows tinted. I've even received compliments from Chevy owners! Overall, I think Ford did an incredible job with this car and I'm proud to be a Blue Oval owner!

This car may give you a smooth ride, but it requires constant maintenance. Unfortunately, I had to replace the motor at 110,000 miles and have had to replace multiple AC components, including compressors, expansion valves, and condensers. Despite these repairs, the AC still doesn't work. Additionally, I had to replace the motor mount and CV axles, which is understandable for a car with 125,000 miles. However, during the CV axle replacement, the shop had difficulty removing the axles from the steering knuckle and ended up breaking their press. While the repairs were costly, the shop did their best to fix the issues. Overall, my experience with this car has been challenging and I would not recommend it to others.

Hi there! I hope you're doing well. I just wanted to share my experience with my Fusion. When I first got it, I was blown away by how well it handled the bumpy roads here in MA. Plus, I was able to take a 1600 mile road trip and only spent $200 on gas! However, I have had a few issues with the car in the last six months. The radio text stopped working and I had some trouble with the key getting stuck in the ignition, which turned out to be a computer panel problem. Unfortunately, the car won't start even with a new battery and clean connectors. I hope this helps!

I really like the exterior of the car, but I've been having some issues with it lately. Unfortunately, my tabs on the steering wheel for the volume to my stereo get stuck sometimes. I had to take my car to the dealership because the gear shift wasn't working properly. It wouldn't let me put it into park, which was frustrating when I was stuck at a drive-through with my foot on the brake. I'm wondering if anyone else has had similar issues. I had to pay a $100.00 deductible, which was a bit of a bummer since my car is still in good condition. I had a Honda before and never had any problems with it until after 150,000 miles. I'm a bit disappointed with my Ford purchase and probably won't buy one again.

The 2007 Ford Fusion is an excellent car with great safety features such as side air bags, safety roll bar feature, and front passenger air bag that turns off by weight limit. Despite the current transmission problem, which seems to have started with a solenoid and has caused damage, this car has proven to be reliable and fuel-efficient. I am confident that with the right repairs, it will be back on the road in no time.

If you're considering buying a used car, it's important to keep an eye out for a few things. Make sure to check the door handles for any signs of wear and tear, such as cracking or peeling chrome plating. Also, be aware that the overhead handles and windshield visors may have wimpy springs. If you're on the taller side, you may find it difficult to get comfortable in the driver's seat. Additionally, the storage options in the glove compartment, dashboard, and center console are quite minimal. The rearview mirror is also quite small, especially with passengers, and the side view mirrors may require frequent readjustment. The center console storage/cup holder can also be a bit of a nuisance. While the Ford 6 CD changer may have some issues with stuck CDs, the radio is decent, although the subwoofers can be a bit sharp and boomy. The car does move well, but maneuvering can be a bit damp. I inherited this car from my aging mother, and while I didn't have much say in the purchase, I did drive it for her until she stopped driving. The winter of 2017 was quite mild, thankfully. While I do find the driver console a bit cramped, I'm hopeful that it won't be a safety hazard.
