Ford Fusion 2013 problems
The Ford Fusion is a mid-size car that was manufactured and marketed by the Ford Motor Company. From the 2006 through 2020 model years, two generations of the Fusion have been produced in gasoline, gas/electric hybrid, and gas/plug-in electric hybrid variants. The Fusion was manufactured at Ford's Hermosillo Stamping and Assembly plant in Sonora, Mexico, alongside the Lincoln MKZ, and formerly the Mercury Milan, both of which share its CD3 platform.
Production on the first Fusions began on August 1, 2005. The Fusion replaced the Mondeo for the Latin American markets—except in Argentina (where the current European Mondeo is available) and in the United States and Canada (where it superseded the then mid-size Taurus and the compact Contour). The Fusion is positioned between the compact Ford Focus and the full-size Ford Taurus. In the Middle East, this model is sold alongside the Mondeo. Versions sold there are available only with the 2.5-liter engine. Unlike in the United States, Canada, and Latin America, no V6 engine is available in that region. The same is true in South Korea, where only the 2.5-liter engines (including those for the hybrid model) are available as of the 2012 model year.
The second generation line-up includes a gasoline engine option, an EcoBoost engine option, a next-generation hybrid model, and a plug-in hybrid version, the Ford Fusion Energi, making the Ford Fusion the first production sedan to offer these four options. Sales of the gasoline-powered and hybrid versions began in the U.S. in October 2012 under the 2013 model. Sales in Europe and Asia as Ford Mondeo began in 2015, along with South Africa, where the Fusion name was used. Deliveries of the Fusion Energi began in the U.S. in February 2013. The entire 2013 Fusion line-up was awarded with the 2013 Green Car of the Year at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show. In 2019, the Fusion was the seventh-best selling car in the United States.

I'm so glad to hear that you're enjoying your new Fusion! It sounds like it's been a great upgrade from your previous car. The Fusion's ride is excellent, even with the optional 18 inch back rims, and it handles road vibrations and bumps really well. It's great to hear that you're satisfied with MyFord, even without the MyFord Touch. You've already put 1,900 miles on it in just over a month, including a 1,000 mile road trip where you averaged an impressive 31.5 MPG going between 70-80mph. The stereo system is also fantastic, with good highs and surprisingly good bass, even with just 6 speakers. Thanks for giving Ford another shot!

I'm not entirely sure why the Mustang is so popular, as it doesn't handle as well as a FWD car when it comes to turning. Personally, I find my Fusion FWD 1.6 ltr turbo to be more than sufficient for our freeways, with great acceleration and handling. I've even had it up to 110 mph! On average, I get 25 mpg, but with cruise control on the freeway at 70 mph, I can get up to 35 mpg. The car is also very quiet, which I love, and has a beautiful finish. I use Meguiars products to keep it looking great, and I still get compliments on my red 4-door. While I'm not particularly tech-savvy, I do find the climate controls a bit confusing and could use a seminar to figure them out. The front seats are very comfortable and hold you in tight, but they can be a bit difficult to get in and out of. Despite having 18-inch wheels, the ride is still wonderful, and I'm very happy with my purchase. As of 12/2018, I'm almost done paying it off! The original tires wore out at 24k miles, but I replaced them with the next level up from Goodyear, which have a 40k warranty. I bought the tires from TireRack and had them installed at Walmart. As for Jones West Ford, I think they could do better in terms of service, but overall, I love the 1.6 ltr turbo engine in my Fusion. It's placed over the front drive wheels, which makes it very forgiving and easy to handle. I can even fit in the rear seats at 6' 230 lbs, and the cargo space is nice. I can fit my wife's wheelchair in the trunk, which pretty much fills it up. The braking is just fine.Especially if you know how to drive and brake, drive as fast or slow as conditions dictate. The four-wheel disc really says it all. I have had no repair problems, although I have had three recalls. However, I was contacted and Ford accommodated me. Other people have told me they love the car! You should definitely consider getting one.

2013 Fusion SE with 1.6 EcoBoost. It has great gas mileage, achieving 36 highway miles per gallon even with a fully loaded car. Although the transmission can be shifty at times, it is mostly great. The car is very comfortable for long trips and commutes. We loved our Fusion and even test drove it with a friend who is 6ft 5 and he had plenty of leg room in the backseat. At the 100000 mile mark, we have had no issues other than a coolant bypass valve (dealer installed around 200 miles). We love it so much that we bought another one.

I'm getting around 14.5 miles per gallon driving back and forth to work, which is only 1 1/2 miles each way. It's a bit of a challenge since I have to go down a hill to get there and up a hill to get back. Additionally, it's quite cold here, so I let the car warm up until the tachometer drops below 1,000 rpms before engaging the transmission. On back roads and highways, I'm getting around 30 miles per gallon. Overall, I'm not unhappy with the car, just a bit surprised. It's a very satisfying car to drive, and it's beautiful to look at. The car feels solid and enjoyable to drive, and the engine winds out with a performance-oriented sound. The automatic transmission is well-suited to the 2.5L engine and winds out right to the redline.

I recently traded in my 2013 Nissan Altima, which unfortunately gave me a lot of trouble. However, I am now the proud owner of a Ford Fusion and I couldn't be happier with my decision. The car runs quietly and smoothly, and it has exceeded my expectations in every way. I have absolutely no complaints and I am hopeful that it will continue to perform well in the future.

This car has a history of coolant leaks and multiple recalls for engine fires for the 13-14 year models. I had the coolant level sensor install recall completed, but unfortunately, the car cannot handle the boost pressure and now has a cylinder coolant leak. Long story short, it is out of warranty and they are asking for $2100 to tear down and find the issue, not including the price for repairs. Although their recalls do not find and fix the underlying cause, they do a little more to prevent liability on Ford. The sensor installation is to notify you when the coolant level is low to prevent engine fires, but this does not fix the underlying cause for the leak. It only tells you there is a problem. They added it because they know there will be a leak and to prevent them from having to buy back a burned-up car. When you know there is a problem, you take it in for repair, which unfortunately lines their pockets.

I purchased my 2013 Fusion just 10 months ago and have unfortunately experienced several issues with it. However, I have taken the necessary steps to address these problems and have been working closely with the dealership to resolve them. While it has been a frustrating experience, I am confident that we will be able to find a solution and ensure that my vehicle is running smoothly. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I've owned my 2013 Ford Fusion SE for just over a year now, but unfortunately, it has spent a total of 3 months in the shop. During the pre-delivery, there was an issue with the antifreeze not being added, which caused problems later on. Despite having the heater core replaced, there was still an issue with antifreeze in the engine oil. The main computer control module also had to be replaced, which took the majority of the 3 months as Ford had to rewrite the software due to the numerous initial issues. Although I was provided with a loaner car, I was disappointed that it took so long. To make matters worse, the first time my car came out of the shop, the windshield had a crack that split the whole way across due to a tool being dropped on it. Needless to say, the dealership did not replace it.

I purchased a brand new 2013 Fusion SE in June 2013. Unfortunately, in February 2014, at only 7,500 miles, the engine light came on. The first attempt to fix the issue was to replace the transmission due to the Eco-boost engine design causing overheating. However, just three days later, the engine light came on again. This time, a faulty igniter coil was the culprit and was promptly replaced. Unfortunately, two days later, the engine light came on yet again. It was determined that the engine needed to be replaced due to the initial overheating problem, which caused the engine to either warp or crack. It's now the Ides of March, and I've been waiting for my car for two weeks. I'm supposed to get it back in two days, and the following day, I'll be driving it from Albuquerque, NM to Los Angeles, CA. I'll keep you posted on how it goes, but wish me luck!

I purchased a Ford Fusion brand new off the lot in July 2013. While it drove well for the first month, it unfortunately began to experience some issues. I had to have the driver module replaced, and the fuel pump replaced twice. Additionally, the car tends to break down in cold weather. Although I had it fixed yesterday, it broke down again after only 24 hours of driving. It even died in an intersection and refused to start again. This has happened four times now, and I am quite frustrated. As a result, I have decided to trade it in for a Honda or something similar. While I cannot recommend the Ford Fusion, I do believe that everyone should make their own informed decision when purchasing a car.
