The 1990 through 1993 Chrysler New Yorker Fifth Avenue and Chrysler Imperial share the platform with the Dynasty/New Yorker, but use an extended-wheelbase chassis, denoted the Chrysler Y platform (the longest-wheelbase sedan variant of the K-car).
Chrysler assembled the Dodge Dynasty at its Belvidere Assembly Plant facility (Belvidere, Illinois) alongside the Chrysler New Yorker, New Yorker Fifth Avenue, and Imperial. The final vehicle was produced on May 28, 1993. For the 1993 model year, Dodge introduced the Dodge Intrepid as its largest sedan line, replacing both the Dynasty and the Monaco.

The '92 Dynasty has been an incredibly reliable, comfortable, and beautiful car, including the rare special ordered leather seats and wire wheels. Despite some neglect in recent years, the car has continued to operate well. Hi there! I wanted to share my experience with the car I purchased from a Nissan dealership. They told me that an older couple had traded it in and it had 101,000 miles on it. After taking it home and changing the oil, I noticed a valve tap sound which seemed to have been covered up by the dealer. Unfortunately, the odometer broke later on and I also experienced some issues with the transmission shifting hard and starting up. Despite these glitches, the car was still able to take me anywhere I needed to go.

I was given this car when I was 16 and drove it until I was 20, when it was unfortunately stolen. As another reviewer mentioned, this car seems to be a target for thieves. However, I was fortunate enough to recover it and got it back after a month. It's amazing that it's still running today! This car is great - it's very durable and can take a lot of abuse. It's also inexpensive to maintain and extremely reliable. If you're on a budget, I highly recommend it! It was perfect for me when I was just learning to drive. I'm so glad I found this car.

I bought my Dyno brand new and she only had 2 tenths of a mile on her when I signed the papers. Today, she has over 180,000 miles and is still going strong. Although I did have to replace the transmission, the dealer covered the cost (which was great!). I upgraded the original sound system to a CD changer and in-dash CD player, and the air conditioning system has only needed to be charged once (and it's still ice cold!). To improve the ride and style, I upgraded to larger tires with chrome wheels. The Dyno is my go-to for work, pleasure, long road trips, and hauling. The trunk can fit almost anything I buy. I am extremely satisfied with my Dodge product and would definitely consider buying another one in the future.

This car has been a reliable commuter for me, with only routine repairs needed. Although there is some rust on the hood and roof after 5 years of ownership, it has not affected the car's performance. The only downside for me was the lack of lumbar support, which caused occasional stiffness in my hips. However, with a lumbar pillow, it was not a big issue. The car had good pickup until the transmission started slipping in its last year of ownership. While it did have some issues, it lasted through a few road trips without any problems. The tires did wear quickly and I went through 4 batteries, but overall it was a pretty affordable and reliable car. Towards the end of its life, it did need to be jumped if it sat for longer than 3 days. Don't let my experience scare you, though - I had this car for a long time and it served me well!

Although the car may not have been the most visually appealing, it did serve its purpose and ran decently with the 'beefy' 3.3 engine. However, it is worth noting that the transmission did go out at 115,000 miles, which seems to be a common issue with this model. My father-in-law has also experienced this problem with all four of his cars, even with higher mileage. It's something to keep in mind when considering this model.

The car was purchased after we had sold a Neon that we had won. We had the Dynasty for under 2 years. We changed the transmission once and decided to part ways with the car after it went bad for the second time. We also had to replace the belt and everything else in the engine. The car had seats that were a bit too soft for our liking, as well as a suspension that was a bit too bouncy.

I bought this car new and I still have it with 340,000 miles. The original engine is still going strong, and the transmission was rebuilt at 300,000 miles. I've kept up with normal maintenance and while there have been some minor problems, overall it has performed well. It just keeps running and won't quit. Even though I have a new Hemi Charger, I still choose to drive the Dynasty to work.

Hi there! I work at a car dealership and recently got my hands on this amazing car. It looks like new and only has 44,000 miles on it! I've driven it for 10 miles and I'm already impressed with the fuel economy. It gets 20MPG in town and 28 on the road, thanks to the 3.3 engine. The A/C was blowing warm, but I managed to fix it with just one can of R-12 coolant. Now it's blowing cold air, which is a lifesaver in this Las Vegas heat! While it may not be a sports car, it definitely has that classic boxy look that we all love. Plus, it's been super reliable so far. I've seen newer and supposedly 'better' cars on tow trucks, but this one has never let me down. Thanks for considering it!
