I took my vehicle to the dealer and they were going to charge me an arm and a leg for the repair and I was thinking this should be a covered repair. What I am saying is the message appears that something is wrong and when someone sits in the seat.

The affected vehicles, equipped with the power liftgate option, have gas struts that hold the power liftgate up when open. These struts may prematurely wear and the open liftgate may suddenly fall.
- Consequence: If the open liftgate unexpectedly falls, it may strike a person, increasing their risk of injury.
- Remedy: GM will notify owners, and dealers will update the software for the power liftgate actuator motor control unit so that the motor will prevent the rapid closing of the lift gate, free of charge. I have never owned a GM vehicle before, but I have been eagerly waiting for this one since its debut at the Detroit Auto Show. Although I almost bought an Acadia because they came out first and I was excited, I am so glad I was patient because this one was well worth the wait. It drives beautifully, is very quiet and smooth, and the handling is quite responsive. It feels very solid and safe, and looks great too. The interior is nice and there is plenty of room in all three rows. I traded in a Chrysler Town & Country that I loved, but I have no regrets. It's only the third day of my ownership, but so far I am quite pleased and looking for excuses to drive it!

Lots of research went into your choice of the Enclave. You have not been disappointed! It is a joy to drive, offering a super quiet interior and ride, plush CXL leather seating, a Bose speaker system, and handles fantastic on the road. You towed your boat this weekend, and it handled it better than your previous SUV, hands down. A lot of thought went into this vehicle. You're getting better than stated gas mileage, which is a nice surprise!

I have had many different vehicles, but this one is by far the most comfortable and well-equipped. It's an 8-passenger car that gets 19 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway, which is great. The car is very comfortable and quiet, and the 6-speed transmission is a little different but well worth it. I absolutely love the hands-free phone, OnStar, navigation, and sound system. This vehicle is a must-have!

You've put nearly 40,000 miles on the vehicle and it's been an absolute joy to drive every day. The use of space in this vehicle is fantastic, it's hard to believe it has this much room and still gets over 20 mpg consistently on the highway. It drives like a car but with much better versatility. GM really hit a home run with this one!

I purchased my Enclave second-hand. It's a beautiful car with plenty of room for extra passengers, but unfortunately, the motor went out at around 138,000 miles, only six months after I bought it. I was disappointed to learn that replacing the motor would be quite expensive. Additionally, the sunroof leaks, and I believe Buick should have recalled the seal, as I have read many Enclave reviews that complain about leaky sunroofs. While I cannot recommend this car to anyone I know, I gave it two stars because it is a luxurious car with a nice look.

I purchased the 2008 Buick Enclave loaded in 2008 as I wanted a Luxury SUV and wanted to support the American Car Maker's in time of crisis. However, I have had some issues with the car. The car has been serviced and taken care of routinely by GMC since I purchased it in 2008. Unfortunately, the engine seals went out at 30,000 miles, and there have been some issues with the air conditioning system, steering gear/drive, water pump seals, rear tail gate piston's, and sunroof. Although GMC has not taken responsibility for the sunroof, I still appreciate the beauty and comfort of the car. Despite my experience, I remain hopeful that GMC will improve their engineering and quality control in the future.

I switched from Dodge/Jeep to GM when purchasing the 08' Enclave, but unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. In the future, I will consider purchasing a Ford. Although the car rides smoothly and has great features such as dual climate control and heated seats, the control buttons have lost their paint, the leather seats are worn out, and the rear climate control has had to be replaced due to non-functioning. Additionally, the transmission and rack and pinion had to be replaced at low mileage. Overall, the quality of the car is not up to par for its price of $37K.

In March 2011, the power steering whine and locking up were repaired under warranty. In November 2011, the check engine light came on and the solenoid was replaced under warranty. In February 2012, the check engine light came on again, along with service stabilitrack and service traction control. The traction control went on and off and the engine lost power. The throttle body was replaced under warranty. In January 2013, the check engine light came on again, along with service stabilitrak and service traction control. The traction control went on and off. Although it is no longer under warranty, the repair required is to replace the valve cover and seal, as the original design was flawed and has since been re-designed. The cost is near $1000.00. GM does not take responsibility for this issue and there is no recall as it is not considered a safety issue. However, it is a flaw that GM is well aware of!
