BUT IF THESE CARS ARE STILL SELLING AND BEING USED THERE SHOULDN'T BE ANY TIME FRAME FOR THE PROBLEM TO BE FIXED BECAUSE THE CAR IS NOW UNSAFE AND UNUSABLE, AND THE OWNER OUT OF MONEY.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has issued 5 recalls for different components of the Dodge Charger 2007.

- Components: AIR BAGS:FRONTAL:PASSENGER SIDE:INFLATOR MODULE
- Summary: Chrysler (FCA US LLC) expanded the affected population to include 73,712 2005-2009 RAM 2500 trucks produced at the St. Louis North Assembly Plant. With this change, Chrysler is recalling certain model year 2004-2008 RAM 1500, 2005-2009 RAM 2500, 2006-2009 RAM 3500, 2007-2010 RAM 3500 Cab Chassis, 2008-2010 RAM 4500 and 5500 Cab Chassis, 2004-2009 Dodge Durango, 2007-2009 Chrysler Aspen, 2007-2012 Jeep Wrangler, 2008-2012 Dodge Challenger, 2005-2008 Dodge Magnum, 2005-2012 Chrysler 300, 2006-2012 Dodge Charger, 2005-2011 Dodge Dakota, and 2006-2009 Mitsubishi Raider vehicles originally sold, or ever registered, in AL, CA, FL, GA, HI, LA, MS, SC, TX, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands (Saipan), and the U.S. Virgin Islands, or "Zone A." - Consequence: These vehicles are equipped with certain air bag inflators assembled as part of the passenger frontal air bag modules, and used as original equipment or replacement equipment. These inflators may rupture due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to absolute humidity and temperature cycling. An inflator rupture may result in metal fragments striking the vehicle occupants resulting in serious injury or death.
- Remedy: Chrysler will notify the Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and RAM owners. Mitsubishi owners will be notified by their company. Dealers will replace the passenger frontal air bag inflator, free of charge. The recall began on March 27, 2017. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is S43. Note: This recall supersedes recall 14V-7700.

- Summary: Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain model year 2005-2009 Dodge Ram 2500, 2004-2008 Dodge Ram 1500 and Durango, 2006-2009 Dodge Ram 3500, 2008-2010 Dodge Ram 4500 and 5500, 2007-2008 Chrysler Aspen, 2005-2010 Chrysler 300, 300C, 300S, and SRT8, 2006-2010 Dodge Charger, 2005-2008 Magnum, 2005-2011 Dodge Dakota, and 2006-2009 Mitsubishi Raider vehicles. The affected vehicles are equipped with a dual-stage driver frontal air bag that may be susceptible to moisture intrusion which, over time, could cause the inflator to rupture.
- Consequence: In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the driver's frontal air bag, the inflator could rupture with metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants resulting in serious injury or death.
- Remedy: Chrysler will notify the affected Chrysler and Dodge owners and Mitsubishi will notify the affected Raider owners. Dealers will replace the driver's frontal air bag inflator, free of charge. The recall began for Chrylser on June 8, 2015. The recall for Mitsubishi started on June 24, 2015. Chrysler and Dodge owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Mitsubishi owners may call 1-888-648-7820. Chrysler's number for this recall is R25. Note: This recall supersedes recall 14V817 in its entirety. Vehicles that have had their driver side frontal air bag replaced previously need to have their air bag replaced under this recall as well.

- Summary: CHRYSLER IS RECALLING 20,283 MY 2006-2009 CHARGER AND MAGNUM VEHICLES BUILT WITH THE POLICE PACKAGE AND EQUIPPED WITH A COLUMN SHIFTER. THE GEARSHIFT CABLE MAY BECOME DISENGAGED FROM THE STEERING COLUMN MOUNTING BRACKET AND CAUSE AN INCORRECT TRANSMISSION GEARSHIFT POSITION DISPLAY.
- Consequence: THIS COULD ALLOW THE VEHICLE TO MOVE IN AN UNEXPECTED DIRECTION STARTLING THE DRIVER, AND CAUSE A CRASH WITHOUT WARNING.
- Remedy: DEALERS WILL ADD A REDUNDANT LOCKING MECHANISM TO THE GEARSHIFT CABLE AT THE MOUNTING BRACKET TO ENSURE PROPER RETENTION AND SHIFT LINKAGE FUNCTION. THE RECALL BEGAN ON NOVEMBER 10, 2008. OWNERS MAY CONTACT CHRYSLER AT 1-800-853-1403.

I bought this used about a year ago. It's black with the Hemi decal on the side in red, and I get so many compliments on it! I am the third owner and have not had any problems with it. Maybe I am lucky or it was just very well taken care of, but I have no complaints except that I wish it had automatic headlights. But that's just me being lazy, haha!

Bought used a month ago. Went from a minivan to a charger. I'm absolutely loving driving this car! It's so much fun and powerful, and it gets great mileage too. My kids love it just as much as I do. I've had this car for a year and 8 months now, and I still love it just as much as the day I got it! It runs amazingly and looks great, and I always get lots of compliments about it from people. When the time comes, I would gladly upgrade to another charger or challenger. This is definitely the best car I've ever had!

Hi there! I just wanted to share my experience with you. I recently bought a car from a used car lot with only 12k miles on it, and I have to say, I'm really impressed with it! The 3.5 has lots of power and my co-workers were equally impressed. The only issue I've noticed is that the door swings back to the closing position when opened, but other than that, it's one of the best cars I've ever bought!

This is Dodge's big gun for 2007. It's a great car for families, with plenty of room and power. The four doors make it easy for everyone to get in and out, and it's comfortable and quiet. You'll love driving it!

I'm so glad to hear that you gave Chrysler another chance and that the Charger exceeded your expectations! It sounds like the Charger has everything you need - power, space, and great traction control. Even with two kids in car seats, there's plenty of room in the back seat. It's great to hear that the Charger's traction control works so well, even in Wisconsin's tough weather conditions. And it's even better that your wife prefers driving the Charger over her Honda Odyssey! It's no surprise that you get a lot of compliments on your car - it sounds like a fantastic choice!

This car's interior parts are made with low-quality materials. Unfortunately, after only 12,000 miles, the AC vents and headliner fell off, and the carpet on the flooring pulls out of the seams. Despite my efforts to maintain it, the engine failed due to a dropped valve seat, which caused damage to the intake and O2 sensors. Although it was a costly repair, I was able to get it fixed for $7,500. It's worth noting that the Hemi engine has a history of this issue. Overall, this car was not a good investment, but with proper maintenance, it can still be a reliable vehicle. It's important to be aware of the potential issues and to take preventative measures. Chrysler may not have been helpful in my case, but it's still worth considering this car if you're in the market for a new vehicle.

Despite the challenges I have faced with my Dodge, I remain confident in my assessment of the situation. The extended warranty that I purchased from the previous owner was a selling feature that I took advantage of. However, I have experienced some issues with the car, such as it chugging and the engine light flashing, which have been difficult to diagnose. Despite the dealer's inability to find anything wrong with the car, I know that these issues are real and have occurred more than 50 times. As a result, I have lost faith in Dodge and will not be purchasing from them again. It is disappointing to have experienced so many problems, but I am confident in my decision to move on from this brand.
