- Summary: Accelerating on highway at around 45mph my Dodge Charger gave a small spurt of powder then immediately after i lost complete power and shut down. I had to move to shoulder of highway where i turned the key to off position and took key out. I tried to restart the car and it wouldnt even try turning over. The cluster lights of PRND38 (ive never seen an 8 on there before)… showed up with boxes around each letter which was not normal along with the lightning bolt light and battery light. We changed new charged battery still no turn over. Tried to connect a snap on code scanner and it wouldn’t link. I also changed throttle pedal as well as throttle body because the lightning bolb light was on When can shut down while driving it.

- Consequence: These vehicles are equipped with certain air bag inflators assembled as part of the passenger frontal air bag modules, and used as original equipment or replacement equipment. These inflators may rupture due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to absolute humidity and temperature cycling. An inflator rupture may result in metal fragments striking the vehicle occupants resulting in serious injury or death.
- Remedy: Chrysler will notify the Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and RAM owners. Mitsubishi owners will be notified by their company. Dealers will replace the passenger frontal air bag inflator, free of charge. The recall began on March 27, 2017. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is S43. Note: This recall supersedes recall 14V-7700.

- Consequence: In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the driver's frontal air bag, the inflator could rupture with metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants resulting in serious injury or death.
- Remedy: Chrysler will notify the affected Chrysler and Dodge owners and Mitsubishi will notify the affected Raider owners. Dealers will replace the driver's frontal air bag inflator, free of charge. The recall began for Chrylser on June 8, 2015. The recall for Mitsubishi started on June 24, 2015. Note: This recall supersedes recall 14V817 in its entirety. Vehicles that have had their driver side frontal air bag replaced previously need to have their air bag replaced under this recall as well.

In the affected vehicles, the ignition key (FOBIK) may not return to the "ON" position after being rotated to the "START" position, instead sticking between the two positions. Potentially, while the vehicle is being driven, the ignition may inadvertently move through the "RUN" position to the "ACCESSORY" or "OFF" ignition position, turning off the engine.
- Consequence: If the ignition stays between "START" and "ON" positions it could cause loss of certain electrical functions. If the ignition key inadvertently moves into the "OFF" or "ACCESSORY" position, the engine will turn off, which will then depower various key safety systems including but not limited to air bags, power steering, and power braking. Loss of functionality of these systems may increase the risk of crash and/or increase the risk of injury in the event of a crash.
- Remedy: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the ignition switch and key FOBs, free of charge. The recall began August 19, 2015. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is P57.

Where should you start? Well, let me tell you, this car is a beast! The combination of horsepower and torque is ridiculously amazing! I've been driving it for about 6 months now and it still amazes me. There are only a few cars on the road that can compete with it. With its aggressive looks on the outside, blazing speed, and enormous amount of space in the interior, this car is like no other. It's in a class all by itself. Especially when you factor in all the great features and qualities, this car is among the elite. I could go on and on about this car, but my best advice is to drive one and see for yourself!

Congratulations on your '08 SRT Super Bee! It sounds like you're having a blast driving it. The car's power and smooth ride are impressive, and it's hard to resist going over the speed limit. The special edition Blue color really makes it stand out, although it can attract both positive and negative attention. The seats are also worth mentioning - they're great! And let's not forget about the amazing 'Brembo' brakes. While you feel that the name 'Charger' is not entirely appropriate for a 4-door car, you still think the car is fantastic.

I got this car back in April 2008 and have been in heaven ever since. Although it's not an old school Charger, it's still a different Charger for a different generation. I had a '69 many moons ago and loved it just as much. Every time I turn the key, 'Duke' impresses me with how it runs like a scolded dog and handles like a dream. I can even make as much white smoke as I want, although new rubber isn't cheap, lol. People seem to like it, but I'm not too fond of all the attention it draws. However, I'm getting used to it. Considering it's pumping 350 hp out of the HEMI, the gas mileage is pretty good. Hands down, this is the best new car purchase I've ever made. My next target is the Challenger R/T so my wife can have this one... You should definitely buy one!!

Last year, when I was deciding what car to buy, I test drove several models from BMW to Mazdas. I saved Dodge for last, mainly because I had always thought of them as cheap, ugly, and unreliable. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the Charger's styling, handling, and speed. Even though I only got the 2.7, its acceleration, handling, and comfort surpassed those of the Mazda 6 and Honda Civic, and were on par with the Taurus SHO (except in acceleration) and the BMW 3 series. I purchased mine for just over $11,000.00, including tax and title, and I have to say that it is one of the best cars I have ever owned. So far, I have had no technical issues at all, and it has been rock solid. I highly recommend it!

I'd like to say that this is a great car, but for now, let's go with good. The ride is smooth, comfortable, and quiet, making it perfect for long drives without feeling tired. However, the steering gets raspberries because it's too heavy at all speeds, and the chassis is busy at cruise, which can be a bit fatiguing. The constant inputs required, even on smooth, uncrowned roads, can be frustrating. The stock 225 60R18 touring tires grip well in the dry, but they can be a menace in the wet. That's why I got Goodyear Eagle Ultra Grip GW3 snow tires, which will help me get through a Michigan winter without ending up in a ditch somewhere. Overall, I recommend this car with reservations.

The car weighs in at 3800 pounds, which is the reason for its big and chunky appearance. However, this weight can be hard on control arms, tie rods, and suspension. The motor is solid, but it revs down slowly for some reason and has a 'hemi tick' in the winter when it's first started. Additionally, there is a gnarly delay when you stab the throttle, and the RPMs actually react to it, which is weird. The instrument panel has awkward half points that don't do anything in between the floor/seat/dash air options. When you turn the AC off or change from floor to dash position, it takes about 8 seconds to respond. The full-size sedan has corners that stretch far, making it a bit of a blind spot beast. My car has had all struts replaced, as well as the lower control arms, and now the upper ball joints are shot.

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share my experience with my 2008 Charger that I purchased in August. Unfortunately, I have had a few issues with it, including a new transmission and multiple trips to the shop. Recently, I have been experiencing some trouble with the car stalling and not going in reverse. I have taken it to the dealership, but they have not been able to find any codes. I even took it to a different dealership, but the issue persists. This is actually my replacement Charger, as my previous 07 model had some frame damage that was not reported in the Carfax report. I am feeling a bit frustrated and unsure of what to do next. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

I purchased a Dodge Charger 8 months ago and unfortunately, my car has been broken into twice. It seems that the thieves used some kind of slim jim device and it took only seconds for them to gain access. It is important to note that Chargers may be vulnerable to this type of break-in. Therefore, I strongly recommend that anyone who owns a Charger should consider installing an alarm system to prevent such incidents from happening in the future.

This full size car has a great appearance, however, it has experienced some issues. The front end has proven to be weak, even with careful driving. Some repairs were necessary, such as new tie rods and tension struts before 50k miles. Additionally, there were some malfunctions with the blinkers and clock spring in the steering wheel. The HVAC recirculation door also broke and became stuck on recirculate, causing it to fog up when cold. Fortunately, there were two recalls for an airbag and ignition, which were addressed. It is worth noting that we purchased the dealer extended warranty, which provided peace of mind.

I fell in love with the car, but unfortunately, I have been experiencing some issues. The transmission has a hard shift, and my mpgs have decreased. Additionally, my steering column got stuck while driving around a corner under a bridge, which caused some damage to my turn signal lever. The sentry key has also been a bit of a challenge, as it requires a new battery every two weeks, which can be expensive at $8 a piece. Unfortunately, the key died, and I got stranded over an hour away from home in a small town that only had a gas station. I reached out to Dodge about my concerns, but unfortunately, they were unable to assist me. They suggested that I replace my key for $245, which was not feasible for me. While I am disappointed with my experience, I will consider other options in the future.
