- Summary: Accelerating on highway at around 45mph my Dodge Charger gave a small spurt of powder then immediately after i lost complete power and shut down. I had to move to shoulder of highway where i turned the key to off position and took key out. I tried to restart the car and it wouldnt even try turning over. The cluster lights of PRND38 (ive never seen an 8 on there before)… showed up with boxes around each letter which was not normal along with the lightning bolt light and battery light. We changed new charged battery still no turn over. Tried to connect a snap on code scanner and it wouldn’t link. I also changed throttle pedal as well as throttle body because the lightning bolb light was on When can shut down while driving it.

- Consequence: These vehicles are equipped with certain air bag inflators assembled as part of the passenger frontal air bag modules, and used as original equipment or replacement equipment. These inflators may rupture due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to absolute humidity and temperature cycling. An inflator rupture may result in metal fragments striking the vehicle occupants resulting in serious injury or death.
- Remedy: Chrysler will notify the Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and RAM owners. Mitsubishi owners will be notified by their company. Dealers will replace the passenger frontal air bag inflator, free of charge. The recall began on March 27, 2017. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is S43. Note: This recall supersedes recall 14V-7700.

- Consequence: In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the driver's frontal air bag, the inflator could rupture with metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants resulting in serious injury or death.

In the affected vehicles, the ignition key (FOBIK) may not return to the "ON" position after being rotated to the "START" position, instead sticking between the two positions. Potentially, while the vehicle is being driven, the ignition may inadvertently move through the "RUN" position to the "ACCESSORY" or "OFF" ignition position, turning off the engine.
- Consequence: If the ignition stays between "START" and "ON" positions it could cause loss of certain electrical functions. If the ignition key inadvertently moves into the "OFF" or "ACCESSORY" position, the engine will turn off, which will then depower various key safety systems including but not limited to air bags, power steering, and power braking. Loss of functionality of these systems may increase the risk of crash and/or increase the risk of injury in the event of a crash.

We traded our Pacifica for the Charger after sinking in a large amount of money. I am happy to say that it has lived up to my expectations. Although it needs the 60k service soon (at 58k now), it checked out on Carfax and our mechanic gave us the go-ahead, along with an extended warranty. The Charger handles better than my old Intrepid and much better than the v6 3 ton Pacifica. It was the best drive I've ever had on highway 101, and I know I have the power to pass if needed, along with fantastic brakes to stop. I have not experienced any knocks, transmission problems, or electrical problems, but I don't hot rod it or floor it all the time. It is very responsive and forgiving at the same time. If you are considering buying a used one, I would recommend taking it to the mechanic first.

When I first drove the car, I was hesitant to like it due to my previous experience with a Dodge Police car from 1982. However, the exterior design is outstanding and caught my attention. As I drove it, I was pleasantly surprised by how it felt similar to my Mercedes, but with the speed of an American muscle car. The car is tight, solid, fast, and well-built. Although it had a mileage problem, I was able to take care of it with an air induction system, which improved the pickup by 3 mpg and added 20 extra horsepower. The transmission is also outstanding, and it's made in Germany! As someone who has had 6 back and neck surgeries, I can say that these adjustable seats are the only ones that make driving a pleasure. My car is solid black, and I legally tinted the windows black. I am thrilled to have an American muscle car in a Mercedes body!

This car is really impressive! It has plenty of room inside and looks fantastic on the outside. The stereo system is amazing, especially the bass, which is surprisingly good for a factory system. The ride is incredibly comfortable and smooth. While the gas mileage in the city is a bit disappointing, it's fantastic on the highway. It's worth noting that Chrysler's warranty details can be a bit tricky, as they won't cover labor if nothing is found wrong with the car. However, this isn't a problem with manufacturers like Hyundai. Overall, this is a really nice car!

I was travelling at 35 mph when a car in front of me suddenly slammed on their brakes. Unfortunately, I was unable to stop in time and collided with the back of their 2005 Jeep Liberty. As a result, my car sustained significant damage to the front end, motor, and axle, almost pushing them into the inside of my car. Despite this, the other car's back bumper only sustained minor scratches. It is worth noting that the airbags did not deploy during the collision. Regrettably, my car was deemed a total loss. It is important to mention that my car had a history of front-end suspension problems.

The transmission has been experiencing issues after 30,000 miles, including bumps in between shifts. Despite numerous trips to the dealer for software reinstalls, the transmission continues to deteriorate. It has been reported that the R/T with its German-made transmission is a lot better. It is important to conduct thorough research before making a purchase. Unfortunately, the driver has no access to a transmission dipstick. While one technician had an idea to make an adjustment to a part of the transmission, I requested a new transmission as the car was only a year old. Despite my concerns, Chrysler did not acknowledge any real problem. I hope to avoid purchasing from Chrysler in the future.

This car is just as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside. The driving experience is smooth, but it does remind me of driving a pickup truck. However, I did notice a terrible blind spot on the driver's side, which is a shame. Unfortunately, this one issue has convinced me that I would not want to own one. Additionally, the high rear combined with a small rear window can make it difficult to see out of the back.

I recently had a 2008 Charger as a rental from Enterprise for a month while my 2006 VW Jetta TDI was being repaired. Although the car was comfortable and had rear wheel drive, I couldn't help but feel that American car makers need to revamp their designs. On the plus side, the stock stereo was pretty darn good, the car was very comfortable and roomy, and the rear wheel drive made for an entertaining ride. However, the car had no power at all and the acceleration was weak. Additionally, the gas mileage was terrible, and I ended up spending $250 in a single month with minimal driving. While this review may be short, I believe that a lack of power and poor MPG is a deal breaker for me. I would not consider owning this car in its current state.

Hi there! I hope you're doing well. I wanted to share my experience with my car. I was so excited when I finally got the car I always wanted, with only 20,100 miles on it! However, I started to notice a ticking sound that seemed to get worse in colder weather. I took it to a local dealer, but they only fixed a little tapping and said it was normal and would go away. Unfortunately, it didn't, so I took it to the dealer where I bought it. They found several issues, including a faulty pump, tensioner, pivot arm, and more. They replaced everything that needed fixing, and when I got it back, it sounded great! However, I'm now experiencing some idling issues and vibrations when shifting gears. I'll need to take it in again, but at this point, I'm just tired of dealing with it. Thanks for listening!
