One tire developed a slow leak presently on the right rear side and now losing a couple psi per week. Placed the tire in a water filled wheelbarrow. Found hundreds of tiny bubbles developing around the entire sidewall where the design impressions are located. Problem is not at the bead nor at the tread. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,ENGINE PROBLEM
- Date Of Incident: 2023-07-11
- VIN: 2C3CDXBG3CH
- Components: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,ENGINE
- Summary: I am experiencing the same issue as identified with NHTSA ID NUMBER: 11525511, June 5, 2023. Dodge has a known issue with the wiring for the fuse for the a/c located in the front PDC. Technical Service Bulletin NUMBER: 08-040-14 REV. A. On or around June 2020, I took my 2012 Dodge Charger to my local dealership during the COVID pandemic for an issue with my AC not working. I had the car inspected by numerous mechanics who indicated there was an issue with the fuse for the a/c clutch (#12), They would replace the fuse numerous times, the AC would come on and blow warm air or cool air, but mostly warm. Replacing the fuse numerous of times did not resolve the issue. Neither did replacing all the cooling system and radiator and fan as well. My auto shop had a mechanic who specializes on the computer for cars take a look at my Charger and found technical service bulletins NUMBER: 08-040-14 and NUMBER: 08-040-14 REV. A which directly describes the issue I am experiencing with my vehicle. The mechanic has even placed a small nail in the cavity next to the fuse to hold it in its place and my AC is blowing fine and cold air until that fuse is moved or touched. This also caused issues with the fuse for the steering wheel on the car which the Dodge dealership addressed when I lost steering power on my vehicle. They did NOT repair the issue with NUMBER: 08-040-14 on my vehicle. I paid the $199.00 diagnostic fee just for the shop to put a new fuse in (which I repeatedly told them was not the issue at that time) and I am still having the same problem. I would like Chrysler/Dodge to contact Armory Dodge and authorize not only a refund for the $199.00 diagnostic fee I paid to have the issue identified (which they did not) and also authorize the repair needed as instructed on the TSB NUMBER: 08-040-14. The dealership has informed me that they do not even have the repair kit needed Part No. 68235388AA (wire harness kit) and would need to do a workaround to repair the issue.
STEERING,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,EXTERIOR LIGHTING PROBLEM
- Date Of Incident: 2022-10-13
- VIN: 2C3CDXATXCH
- Components: STEERING,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,EXTERIOR LIGHTING
- Summary: When I purchased the car it had been used as a police car in the state of Mississippi. So after I bought the car I checked for any recalls and found it to have 2 open recalls. 1 was a passenger side airbag and the other was the alternator. So I contacted Moss motor company in South Pittsburg Tennessee and they agreed to do the recalls. After they had finished installing the air bag they told me the alternator wasn't required for change out because the part number listed on it wasn't warranted. So I did some investigating and found my part number to be 7030. The part numbers not required for change out is 7051-7031-and 7170.. It's listed under the NHTSA S68/16v-739 recall. Since I've had the car I have had blinking headlight issues.. I have a little bit of automobile knowledge and I knew it had to be a grounding problem or a alternator problem. So I even added a couple of grounds from the engine to the chassis with no improvement. So I contacted a good friend of mine whom is a retired Dodge Chrysler master technician and he agreed to check my alternator for fluctuating amperage. He placed a device around the lead wire coming from the alternator to the battery and when he did the needle was constantly fluctuating very rapidly probably 2/3 across the entire dial. So there is no question whatsoever the alternator is the source of the problem. There's one more issue I would like to report. When I carried my car in for the recalls to be performed the technician didn't even bother to raise the hood of the car to check the part number on the alternator.. The reason I know this is because he didn't take my car to the shop area, he pulled my car in front of the high bay doors and installed the passenger side airbag.. I did witness this.. But not 1 time did I see him raise the hood. It took me a 30x magnifying glass and a flashlight to take the photo clearly showing the part number on my current alternator that was supposed to be changed. Photo attached is part number.
POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER PROBLEM
- Date Of Incident: 2023-04-15
- VIN: 2C3CDXAG8CH
- Components: POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER

STEERING,POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM PROBLEM
- Date Of Incident: 2023-05-09
- VIN: 2C3CDXCT3CH
- Components: STEERING,POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
- Summary: Service power steering warning comes on, causes my gauge cluster to go blank & dark, I lose A/C, power steering, headlights work intermittently, blinkers & all steering wheel button options stop working, and my transmission will start downshifting shifting erratically. It downshifts so hard I'm afraid I'll lose control of my car. Yesterday I had a message pop up saying it was going into Power Saving Mode. When the power steering warning is on, my A/C will have half the vents blowing cold air, the other half blowing hot heater air. During the winter my heated seats only worked intermittently. All of these issues are related to the past recalls on my car that were supposedly fixed; however, the problems are still occurring. Can somebody please contact me about these recalls and tell me what I should do? Thank you!

POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE PROBLEM
- Date Of Incident: 2022-10-10
- Fire: 1
- VIN: 2C3CDXHGXCH
- Components: POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE
- Summary: Oct, 2022 my car did not shift out of park so I googled my car and the problem, So it said it was my monostable shifter modular. I towed it to A Transmission mechanic and they did a full body diagnostic test and I was told all I needed was to buy a new transmission shifter modular and a PCM to get my car running again. I did not have the $ 4,200 for them to fix my car so I had it towed back home. Now as of today my car is not running still because of the transmission shifter modular and PCM I bought brand new Installed myself and for some odd reason the electrical started flickering as if maybe the wiring is wrong or something. Now there was already a recall on the following repairs I've done and yet its documented in the recall system that all recalls were repaired by manufacture In 2017 Alternator Diode Thermal Fatigue, April 2016 TRANSMISSION ELECTRONIC SHIFT LEVER, Jan 2016 WHEEL CHOCKS, July 2015 REPROGRAM OCCUPANT RESTRAINT CONTROL MODULE, Dec 2019 Reprogram Powertrain Control Module, Oct 2012 EMISSIONS RECALL M30 POSITION VALVE/INTERNAL TEMP DIAGNOSTICS. So either the recalls weren't repaired as documented or it is a factory defect and my car needs the repairs done again at no charge. When I call to the dealers the management was a female and told me me my car was to old and they longer work on my car I've been told that several times. I also have all receipts for repairs and you will see that its the same issue as the recall that was apparently repaired.

I've been eyeing this car since its release last year. During a recent business trip, I rented the base model Charger and was absolutely blown away. As someone who is 6'9'', I typically drive a Yukon XL Denali for the extra space, but I was pleasantly surprised by the Charger's roomy interior and ample headroom (even without the sunroof). After browsing the options online, I visited my local dealership and test drove a few RTs. I fell in love with the Hemi V8 and ended up ordering my own RT Road and Track in Black with 20-inch chromes and the Super Track Pack. I opted out of navigation and sunroof, but this car is still incredibly fast, handles like a dream, has plenty of space, and boasts reasonable fuel economy. I highly encourage anyone in the market for a sedan to take the Charger for a spin.

I must admit that I never considered buying a Chrysler product before, but the 2011 Charger redesign has completely won me over. It's a stunning car that's both fun and incredibly comfortable to drive. Although I do wish that the 8-speed automatic had been available in 2011 for the extra gas mileage, I still absolutely love this car. I can't believe I bought a Dodge! The audio system and navigation are good, but unfortunately, some of the applications are not compatible with the iPhone, such as reading text messages. Additionally, it would be great if the doors could automatically lock upon exiting the vehicle. While the passive unlock system works well, it still requires manually locking the doors when exiting.

I bought my brand new 2012 Dodge Charger in March 2012 and have already put over 19k miles on it in less than 6 months. The car has impressive acceleration and turns heads, especially with its 20 chrome wheels. However, I have some concerns about the car. After a long, hard highway drive, the car emits a strong exhaust gas fume that enters the car. I have taken it to the dealer twice, but they have been unable to pinpoint the problem. In my 30 years of owning 11 new cars, I have never experienced this type of chemical odor. This issue seems to be random and occurs more frequently when the temperature is over 70 degrees outdoors. Has anyone else experienced this same issue?

I purchased this vehicle in the 1st quarter of 2012. Initially, I had chosen the V-8, but I decided to go for the V-6 instead, as it offered better value and gas mileage. I was pleasantly surprised by the V-6; it had plenty of acceleration and with a K&N filter, I was getting over 37 mpg on the highway and mid 20's in the city. However, I eventually decided to switch to the V-8 due to its raw power and I was getting bored with the 8-speed transmission with no shifting options. It's important to buy what you really want, otherwise you may end up regretting your decision and taking a hit due to depreciation or being stuck with a car you don't love. The Hemi is a monster with awesome acceleration, and I'm getting low 30's mpg on the highway at 50 to 70 mph, while in stop-and-go traffic it's at 12 mpg. Plus, the car is a real head-turner!

I purchased this car in March of this year with 95k miles on it and have driven over 10k miles in the 8 months since. I absolutely love driving this car! I've customized it with blacked-out wheels and tinted windows, and I can't help but admire it every time I walk by. I've received compliments from family, strangers, and even police officers, which is no surprise as I believe the '11-14 model is the most impressive car on the road. It has a commanding presence and drives smoothly, with good fuel economy even with the 5-speed transmission. On a recent trip from Ohio to GA, I averaged 34mpg on a single tank, and I typically average 24mpg in all-around driving. I commute 17 miles each way for 5 days a week, with additional driving on weekends, and I can make one tank last for 2 full weeks! The V6 engine is not a sports car, but it still provides a fun driving experience. So far, the car has been reliable, with only an Oil Pressure Sensor needing replacement, which is on my to-do list. I highly recommend this car!

When I crank my car, all of the interior door lights in both the front and back remain on, even though I have checked to make sure that all doors are shut tight and that the roll light button control wasn't accidentally turned on. Unfortunately, the only way to turn off the interior door lights is to individually press each light to switch them off, which is quite inconvenient. As an experienced car owner, I have never encountered such a problem before. Can you suggest any solutions?

I purchased this car brand new in 2012 and was immediately drawn to the striking color and stylish interior. The 20-inch rims added to its impressive appearance. The car drove smoothly and powerfully, making highway driving a breeze. As my first major purchase, I took great care of it, with regular dealer service oil changes and car washes. However, after reaching 30k miles, I began to experience some issues. The Bluetooth had difficulty syncing with multiple devices, and the transmission shifting became jumpy. I also had trouble with cracked rims, which the dealer was unwilling to fix. Despite these setbacks, I continued to maintain the car with regular spark plug replacements and other necessary repairs. Unfortunately, the dealer was unhelpful when it came to fixing the driver side airbag light on the dash, and the battery eventually died. While some may consider these expenses normal, I found them to be excessive. As a result, I decided to trade in my Charger R/T for a 2016 Tacoma TRD 4x4 Offroad, which has been a more reliable vehicle for me. Perhaps in the future, I will consider purchasing another Charger R/T, but for now, I am content with my Toyota Tacoma base pickup, which has required only regular oil changes despite having close to 100k miles.

I purchased this car used from a local dealer and unfortunately, I have experienced a number of issues with the way the transmission downshifts. I later found out that the transmission had been replaced a few thousand miles before I purchased it, but the dealer never disclosed this information to me. Additionally, I have noticed that the engine seems to be running at higher RPMs and the brakes do not seem to be functioning correctly. Despite my attempts to resolve these issues with the dealer, I have not received any satisfactory solutions. I even tried another dealer who downloaded new software, but unfortunately, the issue was not covered under warranty or any extended warranty that I had purchased separately. Although the car looks great and runs well on the highway, I have had a number of other issues with it, such as problems with the driver's side window and the big screen that controls everything locking up twice. I am disappointed with this vehicle and have only had it for 10 months. If you are considering purchasing a sedan, I would recommend looking at other options. I am hoping to trade it in after the new year and find a more reliable vehicle.

My 2012 Charger SE has 72565 miles on it. Although I have enjoyed driving it, I have recently experienced some issues with the power steering fluid and transmission. Twice, my husband had to add power steering fluid to stop the noise and vibration, which was caused by low fluid levels. Additionally, the transmission downshifts quite hard at lower speeds, causing a jarring sensation. I am confident that these issues can be resolved and I am making an appointment to have them addressed. Despite these challenges, I still love my car and remain optimistic about its future performance.
